You should emory the shaft with the provided emory cloth to protect the orings when you put the new seal on. At least I do, because I'm not going back out in the field to put another seal in for free.
That is incorrect. This is the way to set the shaft height per Grundfos' work instructions. For more information, reference Grundfos product literature LCR-STK-152. Thanks for watching!
I have 4 of them they're missing on along with a brand spanking new one in the box wrapped with plastic. I cut the plastic to see if I could see one on that one.. Nope! They need to supply those with the seal kit imo.
Thanks ! Do you have any idea of what length is the shaft pin for a CR15 ? I am having trouble with a CR15-08, I am using a factory new Kit chamber Stack and a new shaft seal but it seems to be the customer lost the shaft pin so I made one but I am having a bad noise when the pump starts.
You might have the pump shaft "stack" too high or not high enough. That gapping tool on the seal is what your suppose to be setting it at. Or your stack is going out is the other possibility.
On The Goulds Pump you don't have to mess with the motor at all . Sooo much Better than Grundfos. We had a miura boiler with cre 8 pumps. No Loop system to keep pump running all the time . The stack bearings kept going out every few weeks . Or the Nut on the bottom of the shaft would come lose and the stack would drop and rub on the housing . I would never Recommend Miura Boilers or your Cre 7 8 or 10 Pumps on most feedwater systems. Junk and a pain in the ass . for the Maintenance and or Boiler Engineer . Hope fully you guy's upgraded your product .
Beautiful workmanship there, thanks for sharing.
thanks a lot for your detailed information
