- Here are my thoughts on ESP LTD guitars. I think they have lost what made them special, but you can still find some great models out on the used market.
Sound samples were recorded using Logic Pro X through the JUMP Marshall Simulator and Tweeman of Guitar Rig 6.
Let me know what you think below, and if you have any questions about it.

i have an mh1000 deluxe that has become my ride or die, and when i tried to buy another one, they were 50% more expensive than when i got it. anyone who has good ltd stuff needs to hang onto it for dear life
Totally! Keep those goodies, or find used ones and keep them! haha That's funny because this EC has been my ride or die too. Any time I've had anything I wasn't playing at a gig, this guitar was the one that I knew I could count on to hit it.
you are totally right... my friend had a ec500 prob 2009 and it was an amazing instrument... around 2015 I decided to get one... at that time i believe they stopped making that model and they had a pretty similar ec401... so I went to get it thinking it was pretty similiar (they looked the same).. I played the guitar and it was like playing a toy... I was so impressed... of course I didn't get it
I also had the same guitar you are showing... didn't love it cuz it wasn't my style.. but for sure it was a great build.
It's a race to the bottom. These companies saw that during the pandemic people will buy anything.
I have a Korean made Schecter and an Indonesian made LTD. Honestly the difference between them is minimal, the finish has more minor errors on the LTD but so what. I have a Japanese ESP which is "better" but I prefer the tone of the LTD.
