“I lost my finger”
Man, I dig how you incorporate all these dif techniques into your builds! Thanks for having a plethora of talents!
Push it real good.
so it's a sex toy? Ist it soft touch with a lil tenderness
Can I rename Alexa to "Kronk" and have he pull a lever instead? I just need an excuse to yell "PULL THE LEVER KRONK"
Spelled Right Samurai wrong lever!
Why do we even HAVE that lever?!?
I LOVE THIS!!
Thanks dude!
Hi Dave
"The ping pong table isn't responding" thank you science
Le monde de Léah MacBunny mmmmmmm
Bob..... I think this may be the coolest thing I have seen all month... Dude keep it up and thank you!
You started my day off right. Thank you Bob!
Excellent!
That was silly and imaginative. Very creative. The possibilities are endless with those combined.
Judging by the title, I'll go ahead and mute my Echo just to be safe
:O SO AWESOME!!!!
Alec Steele u should make a collab with Bob
Hey, great to see you here! Is there any chance of a colab between you two? That would be the best!
Hey alec!
Nice to see you here!
Alexa turn on power hammer
Well now you two'll be in the same country 😉
Alexa, heat up the forge!
You have got so much creativity. I am pretty sure your kids and your family are very proud of you.
Bob is becoming more random than The King of Random :D
Seriously love this idea. It's goofy, yet has tons of hidden practicality in it.
Bob how do you come up with such creative ideas? It’s amazing what ideas you come up with!
It's one of the dumbest, silliest things I've ever seen, but it serves a purpose, so it's good!
Still giggling at your reaction to your epoxy thumb. So funny ;-)
I just got my Glowforge yesterday. This will be my next project. There's nothing taxing about walking to the machine to push the button, but three times already, I've walked over to check out the cut, and I hadn't pushed the damn button. So. Thanks, Bob. You're gonna help fix the problem.
One-handed ping pong skills for the win! "The ping pong table isn't responding." 😂 Awesome video and I love this project! 👌
Well, if you play ping pong with two handy You and me really have to worry! :D But even though, it was with his left hand :> (He isn't left handed, right? ^^)
I don't know about you but I certainly couldn't catch the ball while holding the paddle and then manage to serve!
Ahhhh :D Yeah, now I know what you mean - your right :-]
Bleen Paper 😁👍
Had to lower my volume. Too close to my Echo!
Nice video, Bob. 😁
Watch Me DIY It - I changed the activation word on my Echo devices to help avoid that.
that’s funny so hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha :)
Haha same here!
Same here lol
alexa push the like button
like button is not responding XD LOL
Lem Llave how could Alexa do that
All anything needs is a purpose. That finger has a purpose. That finger is anything.
Awesome work, as always, Bob! :)
Totally useless, totally pointless, totally crazed, TOTALLY BRILLIANT! Thrash- on Colin!
Well made tutorial. Finally a true professional! I've been through so many videos that are poorly made that are always missing some very important part.
Bob, will we be seeing robot Bob (full body epoxy) doing future videos with you calling out commands for Alexa in the next room?
Another good one Bob!
The key part in this project is clearly to make the actuator look like a finger. Great video
Great project, Bob!
Bob that was awesome. I can only imagine the conversations that would come up in an fully automated home using fingers that activate everything. Great work!
It's midnight here in South Korea and I have to be up in 6 hours. Sure RUclips, I got time for one last video.
I love this video! I got an Echo Dot for Christmas and have been doing lots of research on automation. I love the creativity you used to solve a problem. Keep up the good work Bob!
That's ridiculous...ly awesome!!
I have a loft bed, and I actually have a stick with a foam hand on the ene, which I use to turn off the lights. It also has a little hook on the end, so I can drop my glasses down. Now I see the most perfect way this could possibly be made. Great vid.
Hahahahahaha Bob you did it again!
Amazing! Exactly what I was looking for! Excellend work, creativity, and documentation!
So nerdy-awesome, Bob.
Of course, you want to find a way around the safety precaution... love your stuff, Bob.
So awesome - so glad you found your finger! - Jim
Okay that’s actually a pretty good use of Alexa combined with home automation! Nicely done!
Alexa, push the like button.
Ha! I love it 👍🏼
Awesome. Stuff like this can be genuinely very useful, especially when working with older systems that can't be retrofitted with smart controls for whatever reason. Also, it's objectively hilarious.
Had a pretty long day, then a notification popped on the screen with your video and that made my day again👌🏼
Great! Hope you have a great rest of the day!
dude, while watching this i came up with at least 4 or 5 ideas for Smart Home/PC Set up related things to this. Epic!
Great!!
OMG! What a riot. Yeah I agree funny and disturbing at the same time. Are you sure Alexa needs to push it real good? Lol.
That's great! I think Josh's presence brought some freshness to your videos, you two really seem to enjoy yourselves in the making/shooting process ;)
We do! I love having him around!
After a long hard day at work you absolutely made my day with this :-)
I know you called it ridiculous, but you just helped me solve 4 different project ideas I've been struggling with. The inspirational value of this video is dope! :) Thanks!!!
Fantastic!! That's great to hear!
I loved it Bob! Good job guy!
I love the outtakes! Very cool. Thanks for making automation easier to understand.
Its official my friend, "Your Nuts"!!!. Which makes two of us. LOL, I think I kept up with you, right up to when programming and wifi came into the equation.😁 End result was it worked so it has to be another excellent video by you Bob, well done Sir, Keep up the great work. All the best from North London. UK.
Thanks Trev!!
This is a great video that explains how to integrate the ESP board with the fouxmo library.
Best ping pong gameplay
This project has everything i like about you and your channel, this is GREAT
What was the point with the gloves after you stick your finger into the silicone? 😂
(Nice project BTW, getting more and more interested in coding and electronics every time I see you do stuff with it it)
To protect his hands from epoxy spills while he tries to get it into the mold.
Your video came in just in time Bob. I was looking for another use to my ESP board other than deauthering people from my wifi. Definetely go check that out on Spacehun's GitHub. Awesome as always, keep it up! Love your videos
I had to thrown my Echo out the window while watching this video. FIRST!
The P.I. Workshop 11 Hours Ago?? ,Bob just Upload it 1 Minute Ago-ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED
Same
You need to redefine who "he" is.
I changed my wake up word from Alexa to Echo to watch this video......
We need more people like you finding was to make a process go faster you get that time is money and wasting time is wasting money. Keep up the good work and producing video🙂
Rediculously awesome!
It's totally ridiculous...and it's totally awesome! That is so cool how you can turn all of those on without ever touching them.
i laughed a lot. thank you
:) Glad to hear that !
DIY home automation is a great thing to tinker around with, especially because commercial products can be a bit expensive. Sometimes a cloud finger is the best way to go! Really enjoyed the vid.
Is that you tony?
dude this project was so cool. i didnt really notice how versatile alexa is
A robot that actually does what it's supposed to. Not as funny as Simone's but much more practical.
"Ping pong table isn't responding" lmao I'm dying over here. Great video Bob! I'm getting ready to set up my shop with some Alexa automation so seeing how customizable it can be makes me really excited!
Great! Hope it gives you some ideas!
Early because I am always on You Tube! XD
Bob this is a great project. You provided good detail to complete the project successfully. This project would be a good intro for getting into home automation using an Alexa controlled device.
the finger is completely useless but its also awsome xD
Love it Bob! Fantastic silly functional build.
Don’t watch the video with an Alexa in the room
Those outlets are crazy! It's a great merging of high tech and low tech. Great work.
You are crazy. And I mean that in a good way 😜
I'll take it! :)
I really liked the way his video was put together. I feel like it was sillier than normal which I’m a fan of.
I like to make jokes

Jdawg you got me
Another really great option for software on ESP 8266 chips is the Sonoff-Tasmota firmware (search for it on GitHub). It offers some similar features, and support for the MQTT protocol (among other things) to integrate it with other systems, like HomeAssistant. It also allows easy setup of connected sensors and things like that.
It can be used with any ESP 8266 chip of your own, though it's largely intended to go with the Sonoff hardware, which offers great low-cost ESP 8266 devices with built-in relays and nice enclosures too.
This is very "William Osman" of you, I love it!
Useless gadet makes for the best learning experience!! Thanks Bob for this amazing project!
Those boards are really cool! I got into it a while back when looking for some sort of pranking device and made mine into a wifi jammer. Cool/funny project!
Bob tearin it up left handed at ping pong while doing an ad and molding his right index finger in a cup of silicon is such a Bob thing to do lol 😆
The background during the add was great. And the end bloopers are always a favorite. I lost my finger
Love the electronics projects! Excited for more to come
Alexa is in the right thing Bob, you're awesome. Very funny video. Silly, but creative project. Love from Argentina😍
"I lost my finger"😹😹😹😹😂
this is unsettlingly awesome, well done Bob!
Love how it says ok bob your awesome
Great quality Bob, I enjoyed it!
Would love to see more stuff like this!! Long time follower! Thanks, Bob!
This is so insanely cool; your kids are going to want to play with this thing. When I’m able to invest in smart home automation I would love something like this.
THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER! You're on your way to being Tony Start brother! Love it. Keep it up.
Cool project Bob. I was going to ask why you didn't keep on the glove when making the mold of your finger, but I totally understood when I saw the epoxy finger. Crazy the level of detail the mold captures!
Nicely done, now I want to automate everything ;)
When bob and Colin furse publish video at the same time you no that is a good day
Your video kept waking up my Alexa, but since I didn’t have any disembodied, WiFi-enabled fingers laying around, it’s all good.
This is the kind of video that makes ILTMS different...keep it up!
The almost pitiful sounding “I lost my finger!” At the very end killed me😂
I’ve been following for years. This may be the coolest thing yet.
Ha! Thanks Greg!
Ho Bob, that awesome and hilarious at the same time. It's your funniest project so far in my opinion.
Good job Bob.
And also super idea the Bits series.
“Ping pong table isn’t responding” best response .
O man, I was cracking up !
You're awesome Bob !
I absolutely HAVE to think of something to use this tech on.
Thanks Bob
You rock.
Love your videos man! I have been watching you since you were at 10k subs. Keep the awesome work up!
Awesome!! Thanks sos much for sticking around!!
Gotta love the Diresta ice pick cameo at 9:10
For Bob, a shop mod. For DiResta's mini helping hands, the Terminator.
Unique... definitely thinking outside the box. And I loved it!
Esp8266 Is very powerful, last year I automated my home using this board, its amazing!!
That was a really great build video and I enjoyed each minute of the video... The bloopers at the last lol😛
