    Impressive time. Well done. It was so warm and sapped energy. The route has quirks as well. Keep on running.

    Decent time Ian, it was very warm today, makes a big difference. My son ran, crossed the start line at 10.06, hot one for him! I'll try and enter for next year- it's on my birthday!

      Thanks mate Running in hot weather can be a challenge, but it's all part of the experience. The Big Half is a fantastic race, and I hope you get the opportunity to participate in it someday. Timing can be tricky, but hopefully, it aligns for you in the future!!

    Well done Ian, still a great run! You are in great shape, you should look for another half in the next month or so and you will get under that 90 mins. Especially in a smaller race, those big events are logistically challenging and can be hard to race well in those races. Thanks for putting out a race Vlog so quickly 😁

    • @inmruns
      @inmruns  Год назад

      Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate the encouragement. I'm glad you enjoyed the race Vlog. It's always fun to share my experiences and connect with fellow runners. I'll definitely consider looking for another half marathon in the near future to work towards that sub-90-minute goal. Smaller races can indeed offer a different racing experience, with potentially less congestion and logistical challenges. I'll keep that in mind when planning my next race. Thanks again for the support!

    I was meant to be running this race but due to a slight injury I decided a trip down south was a bit too much to do if I couldn't give 100%. Because like you I'm aiming for sub 90. I was 28 secs off in April at London Landmarks. If I had run Im pretty sure I would have been on your video as I'd have done a 1.31 or 1.32.

      I'm sorry to hear about your injury and the change in your plans. It can be disappointing when unforeseen circumstances prevent us from participating in events we were looking forward to.
      It sounds like you were very close to achieving your goal in the London Landmarks race Keep working towards the sub-90!!
      Thank you for supporting the channel 👍

    Quite an excellent time for running on a hot day and carrying/using a GoPro on a stick. You would have easily run faster than 1:30. Keep up the good work!

      Thank you for the kind words! Running on a hot day can definitely be challenging, but it's always a great feeling to push through and achieve a good time. Using a GoPro on a stick can add an extra element of fun and motivation to the run as well. I appreciate the encouragement and will definitely keep up the hard work!

    Good effort that, if you want a half that's good for a PB and under 1.30 for yourself, then look at Brentwood in Essex, think it's in March.
    Great effort.

      Thank you for the recommendation, Marc! I appreciate your suggestion of the Brentwood Half, especially if it's known for being a good race to achieve a fast time. Thank you again for the suggestion, and I'll keep it in mind as I plan my future races.

    Excellent Vlog, Ian. Personally I'd find it very hard to race flat out whilst filming with a GoPro on a stick. You'd have been very close to sub 90 without that IMO.

    Ian well done on your half marathon and time! I have to ask have you visualised crossing the finishing line in 1.29something? One thing I can promise is your mind controls you and as we grow up our limiting beliefs grow but of you believe you can. Try it on a parkrun! If Novak the no1 tennis player saw himself lifting Wimbledon trophy before it happened! Something to think about! Good luck In October!

      Thank you for your kind words visualization is indeed a powerful tool that many athletes use to enhance their performance. Believing in oneself and setting goals can have a significant impact on achieving success. I appreciate your advice and will keep it in mind. Best of luck with your own endeavors, and thank you for your support!

    Good effort, hard work in the heat and also carrying the camera must have an impact on things.
    You were pretty close to sub 90, so can’t be too down.
    Maybe try not filming the actual race next time, just before and after? See if that makes it easier.

    • @inmruns
      @inmruns  Год назад

      Thank you
      it’s not too far off sub-90
      Very true regarding filming I would definitely do that if I thought I could run a decent time so hopefully soon!!
