    Great progress kieran. simple fix for the light is to hang a gate between the walls of the entrance to the cubicle house and keep the door as is. Close it in hard weather. Another option would be al sheet a gate an the space above would let loads of light and air in. Well done and keep up the good work

    Kieran if you are considering upping numbers in the future, or on the chance that land may come up (just your comment on expanding Parlour is great forward thinking);
    would you not consider putting Parlour out to the far side of existing sheds. Yes there will be a cost to building the lean to for it, but that leaves the “3rd span” free for cubicles, which would reduce the cost of putting any additional cubicles in down the line as they would have to be in a shed built on there own.
    Use the span for calves for now as it would be very handy being so close to the Parlour to get cows milked and milk straight to the calves

    Great to see thnigs progressing so well.. If you don't want to extend the pit to 12 units for future capacity you could always make sure the pit is wide enough and you could go for an 8 unit double up down the line for capacity.. It gives same throughput as a 12 unit but less walking in the shorter pit..

    powerwash inside shed it would make whole place light up a bit too. you don't realise how dirty they are until you get at it. Few repairs on anything half broken with the roof should let it last long enough for you to have a plan together on its future

    Great video again. Kieran, I don't know if you do black leg vaccines for the heifers but it would be worth it for all the building construction work.
    We lost animals before excavated earth and stone from our own quarry.
    Great info on the slats and yard. Keep the info coming.
    Would love to put up a slatted area, it seems like a good price

    Not to rain on your parade as i like your vids. Tb is a massive have gone from 40 to 80 cows this year. Borrowed money etc to do it. I have lost 22 cows since april with tb. Im under massive financial pressure now. Im not taking it well to be honest. Department dont care about the loss of milk and the financial ramifications of that

    Be careful with the 'I'll have an 8 eight unit parlour but will leave room for 12 spaces" idea
    You gotta check the actually milking machine equipment & does it have the capacity to milk that many cows all at once
    Otherwise problems with incorrectly milked out cows
