30:28 the voice Damien does here reminds me so much of the TNTL bit he did where he says “if the man poops during intercourse does the baby come out all… weird?”
35:35 I think what Amanda was trying to do was exit the scene. Since the scene was supposed to be just Chanse, Damien, and Shayne, I think she was trying to leave after her cameo as the turtle, but did it a little too abruptly, which is why it didn’t land. I think if she had said something like, “Hey, guys? Do you hear that?” and then was dragged away by a monster or some other similar exit with a bit more lead up, it would have worked a little better, but a good moment was made out of it nonetheless.
Yes! Damien is extremely clever and commits to a bit for sure. His experience in skits before Smosh, when he was on Disney, were probably great for building his skills.
I love these improv videos. I can see them growing. They have a mix of experience in true improv games and I can see those newer players building confidence.
this was at the top of my feed just as i had pulled out my phone to search to see if you did this one yet. I've been waiting for you to get caught up to this one
Your explanations are so interesting!! Smosh is always making me laugh so it’s cool to know WHY it’s funny (and why sometimes it’s not as funny) it almost makes me want to get into improv even though usually the idea would terrify me 😅
"Guys, if you ever want to improv with me" -- I think it would be amazing if Smosh ever asked you to join as a guest for a TNTL or Pit Theater! (And the you can work your way through their contacts to Dropout, too! 😁) The "Oscar moment" game wasn't my favorite, but within it, the phrasing of "I wish he would look at me in the ass" cracks me up every time 😂 Just something about the difference between "look at my ass" and "look at me in the ass" 😂
YES! Last video I recommended this hoping you would react to it. These are some of my favorite videos by Smosh. I originally found them about 10 years ago or so because of their skits and improv. I also really recommend watching a Betrayal episode or maybe one of the reunions, like the Teletubbies. That one is my favorite and they improvised a lot of it. (Although they can be long.)😆
I’ve just started watching after seeing this come across my suggested vids earlier today, and 7 minutes in I already hit subscribe. I really love the way you’re breaking down the game and choices (I’m a long time improv fan, but I’m absolutely terrible at it myself). But also I scrolled through your other vids and will absolutely have to watch your vid on ace representation, I absolutely love finding fellow aces to watch 💜🤍🩶🖤
Mischief Theatre brought back Mischief Movie Night In which I think you would love. Unfortunately, it's a rental for a limited run. But as an improvisor, I find their improv content delightful. It's more polished because they put more specifications for their show. Something to look at outside of youtube because I don't know how they would feel about a reaction.
@maskedsinger8337 I went to a Mischief Movie Night in London back in August, they're all wildly talented and kind people. I'd love to talk about MMN on here but not sure I can make it work without getting into dicey territory.
Actually now that I think about it, you could listen to a couple of the songs from the Mischief Movie Night In shows. In my opinion, they are truly the best at improv singing. I genuinely have downloaded some songs off of youtube and listen to it in my spare time. Their songs and lyrics are so well done thanks to the cast and muscian that improvise on the spot. Some of the context might be missing, but I'm sure fans of the show could suggest their favorite songs.
i recently went to my school’s theater/improv club and i loved it! the first game we did was the question line which idk hoe to explain, and 1 minute movie. im definitely joining again next semester and every year (im a freshman)
trying to explain question game: two people stand across from each-other and just rapid fire questions, you dont answer and who ever breaks goes back to the back of the line (sorry for my grammar) my favorite question i came up with is “have you ever swallowed a fish?”
Honestly, some of their most amazing improv is over on the Smosh Games channel when they're doing "Gentlemen Play..." episodes. My personal favourite is "Don't Win Mario Party: The Gentlemen's Challenge".
Love the content as always! I believe there may have been a drop in audio quality lately, not sure what's going on there but its there on 1080p still D:
You know that phenomenon where once you learn a new word, suddenly everyone around you is saying it? Why is "diatribe" a thing being said by so many people I watch this month? lol
I know it's not technically the same as a whole live audience, but the Smosh cast does generally have a pretty large crew watching them, especially for sets like this. So, there is a tiny audience. It's not purely camera acting.
I'm sure you're aware of it, but I'd be really interested in seeing you talk about Gastronauts. There's a lot of interesting stuff going on in that show where they're meeting improv with cooking in fun ways, and getting your take on it would be very cool
I can't really blame the players for the genre game falling apart eventually. The whiplash was super hard on the last 3 call outs, and Amanda threw it off pretty hard with her attempted death scene.
Have you ever thought about looking at crowdwork videos? It's not the same thing as scene-improv, but it is still improvised. There are some fantastic stand-ups who can pull off shocking without being gross, and you seem like you might be able to understand how they react so fast and why the audience reacts certain ways. I also know that American High Shorts and a spinoff channel by 2 of the members called Krab_videos are generally a "yeah there's a plan but each moment is improv" setup. I don't usually hear about guided improv unless it's about 1 ad-lib line in a movie script, and I think doing it regularly helps instill a readiness for moments that become iconic.
Smosh is great. I know it isn’t improv, but I hope that you have watched some of their funeral roasts just for your own entertainment. Tommy’s will readings are insane! They are hilarious and harsh. Lol
Absolutely love your videos reacting to smosh❤️❤️ Another channel I’d love to see you reacting to is Shoot from the hip. It’s an improv group from the uk and they upload quite a bit on youtube
i’m sure you’ve been told about this over and over again, but zach reino and jess mckenna’s live off book podcast recording on youtube is a masterpiece of musical theater comedy. it’s absolutely incredible. here’s the link if you’re interested: ruclips.net/video/Ivf58k53nu0/видео.htmlsi=7yZbY3KYjolC7y28
This is a pretty old one, also not really improv, but I think a good one to react to would be the one where they read out Angela's middle school group chat. Arasha and Shayne had good performances.
Have you watch idiots present on smosh? Its a improv presentation thing and some of them are quite good.. i personally like the magic trick and cringe episode 😊
Amanda trying to play the hot girl so many times only to be brought out as Terry the floor licking tortoise is iconic. 😂
30:28 the voice Damien does here reminds me so much of the TNTL bit he did where he says “if the man poops during intercourse does the baby come out all… weird?”
Such a great character, hard to not enjoy a terrible detective
What we're trying to say is you're under arrest

I love this! I’d also LOVE to see you react to their Teletubbies reunion video, which is partially planned improv. It’s hysterical.
Oh yes please!
PLEASEEE
Yeeees!
It’s legit their funniest video of all time.
Oh that video was amazing!
Amanda’s dialogue during the horror genre of the rollercoaster game :
“NO IM THE VIRGIN IM SUPPOSED TO DIE LA-“ just in a *being choked* voice
omg the gentleman's series is wild, you'd love it
0:40 The "____ Reunion" episodes on the Main channel were improv and came out first
I love these improv videos. I can see them growing. They have a mix of experience in true improv games and I can see those newer players building confidence.
I second the comment I saw saying, please React to the teletubbies reunion by smosh! It’s so fun!
One of my personal favorites!
0:14 pleaseee the echo😭😭
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
this video is criminally underrated! it was one of my favourite pit videos of the year.
always love to see ppl singing damien’s praises he’s so talented

I hope you've had a chance to enjoy their series Bit City, it was such a breath of fresh air for the main channel.

YOU got a BOO BOOO is my favorite, its so jacob wysocki
I need Jacob Wysocki on TNTL so bad, dude.

I love this. I've watched the smosh episode twice already and it's so fun
I wait for these religiously!!!!
"Bipandbop is one of my favorite foods" took me multiple times to recognize as bibimbap

@@katelynisspookyYeah that's definitely fair (wrote my previous reply before yours showed up 😂)
We need to see all the theater/acting comments videos they're so funny
random as heck, but your room is what I want my room to look like in the future
Maybe a mix of figurines and such and dolls, but yes I love it so much
Im do insanely happy to see you react to then again
Watched this and thought it was made for you lol
You NEED to watch them act out angelas text messages as a middle schooler
That's not improv tho
@ still, its fun and its acting. They aren’t actually those people
@@RawTimee Don't get me wrong it's an iconic video but I think this channel wants to prioritize improv reactions
@ Yeah butttt she has done so many of them, + there wouldnt be many left.
@@RawTimee She can do main channel stuff also, like reunions and the character improv from bit city
I just stumbled upon your channel and I love it! I think you would really enjoy the Teletubbies Reunion video. It’s pure gold✨
Just wanted to comment to say i love your room. Black furniture, great wallpaper and portraits. It's awesome.

Where did 0:12 come from?
Edit: found it! It’s TNTL #143 ‘the musical’ on pit- timestamp 25:36
i don’t remember exactly which video it is, but i beleive it’s from one of the musical edition Try Not To Laugh videos
Found it!
You know that phenomenon where once you learn a new word, suddenly everyone around you is saying it? Why is "diatribe" a thing being said by so many people I watch this month? lol
Damien is also an accomplished voice-over artist.

all this talk about monologues makes me think, have you ever reacted to Brennan Lee Mulligan's monologues? He is the King of Monologues
@JSSFRK101 not specifically but one of my favorite reactions I've done on this channel was to his "i buffed it! I shitted it!" on MSN
I'm sure you're aware of it, but I'd be really interested in seeing you talk about Gastronauts. There's a lot of interesting stuff going on in that show where they're meeting improv with cooking in fun ways, and getting your take on it would be very cool

beggingggggg for the teletubbies reunion
