‘Sugar coat’ is an excellent way of describing the gross misrepresentation of a global crisis relating to illegal immigration run by criminal gangs. The vast majority of these individuals are not ‘refugees’. It is very easy for Delpy to preach about these issues from the safety and comfort of her privileged and extremely comfortable existence in the US. She should steer well clear of politics in her lightweight films.
