- Hang out with us as we spend two days in the beautiful Chyulu Hills. Come along as we go on an impromptu hike that turns out to be the best decision we could ever make, see how we adjust to the massive bug invasion from our first night and how what we use to counter the chilly nights at the hilltop!
This is a part two, part one where we show how we arrive and get set up late at night can be seen here: • Camping at Chyulu Hill...

Glad you enjoyed it 😄
This is awesome!
Great views. Great manual lesson! ❤
I remembere Chyulu Hills from the days of the WRC Safari Rally back in the days with many drivers crying about the rugged terrain there.
I saw it. I imagine it would have been an absolute menace of a road to race through.
@OverlandTradition Thank you! I'm all the way from Namibia, so my chances of asking a Kamba speaker are slim to none.
But, I think I'm safe to assume that the word does indeed mean a hill or mountain just like "Chiwulu" in my language.
Good video..I would suggest throwing in a few timelapse shots of the scenery!
That's a good idea. Thank you, and thanks for the tip.
I didn't know beautiful place like this exists in Kenya, lovely pretty couple

Hope you subbed as we show more beautiful places in the future. :)

Great suggestions! There is a part one of the video that shows he got there in the dark.
We'll be a bit more mindful about giving more detailed info around the destinations in upcoming videos.

Hi, your 364th subscriber here.
She’s honestly a fast learner…most ladies/men can’t learn it that fast
uphila impilo yami mfwethu, ngiyakubongela 🤟
Beautiful 😢
Indeed! Intend to visit. :)
Try capturing the scenic views in 4k , will give an edge from other channels
Will work on that in future videos for sure.
A Black man enjoying Africa. A Black man enjoying his/our land. An African man living how we as Africans are supposed to be living.
Enough tourists and anthropologists coming over to see and study how we used to live. How about we take a long weekend to enjoy nature every now and then as opposed to having outsiders from outside of Africa show us how to enjoy our land.
Get your lady to disconnect. You, yourself disconnect. Bring your children. Enjoy nature. Enjoy the land our forefathers fought for.
I’m sick and tired of our land being portrayed as something to run away from. Look how beautiful it is.
Am your 500 subscriber 😂😂 when your 1m subs I will remind you guys 😂🎉
Nice milestone! Appreciate you for being a part of it. 😎
Love to see more black people doing this! Keep it up!
Thank you, and thank you for watching! 😎
Question. Does Chyulu mean a hill? And; In what language?
I've just learnt from within the comments that Chyulu is actually a kamba word spelt "Kyulu". You may want to check with a kamba-speaker to verify the translation or meaning.
Be sure to let us know when you find out. 🙂
Shes using alot of oil😋😋yummy though
Who is your plug for the roof top tent?
Thats awesome adventure, didi kws charge for Park fees ?
Yes they do. In the description there's a link for the first video where I show how we arrived, if you'd like to check that out. :)
I truly enjoyed seeing you guys doing what I love the most. I just subscribed to your channel and hoping to be seeing more of you in the future and you can also check me though I have doing solo mostly. You guys are what I've searching for, a couple in the overland rig and nature. ❤
Is this the hill where Kambas say that going around it seven times will change your gender?
I'm not sure about that! 😅
New sub! Please work on the sound outdoors in the wind.
Will do.
Thanks Jael and welcome to the channel! Happy to have you on board. 🙂
Mara Nomads much better!!!!
Thank you for viewing, and for your feedback.
Wilderness is not a luxury but a necessity of the human spirit.
Very well said.
Good stuff guys, a new subscriber here.. can't wait to see more videos. Much love from Uganda 🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬
Very much welcome. Happy to have you on board! 🙏🏾

Eish man you are living the life you have a special wife there, my wife is not supporting the camping life so I'm planning to do Solo camping soon. PLEASE LEAVE 2 LIVE will be my channel's name.
First, I love the name!
And yeah, I hear you. Our partners can sometimes take a while to align with our interests, I suggest keep trying. Suggest cool destinations at first, or maybe going in groups which always gives an additional sense of security.
Good luck to you both! 🤗
@@OverlandTradition Thanks sir, I'll try that and I want to tour the African continent from Cape Town to Cairo, using 3 main routes N1, N2, and N7. I am also a PH (professional hunter) and she does not eat game meat, she can cook it but not eat it for herself man eish it's bad and she misses the health benefits of venison meat. She can only eat the biltong that I make.
@@pleaseleave2live Hunting wild animals is a NO. Plse consider stopping to save the animals for future generations to also find them.
Wow. I'd forgotten how breathtakingly beautiful the Chyulu Hills are. Kenya is blessed.
This is what life should be like. The beautiful life, anyone can and should work to, to enjoy. Respect what you achieved and being an inspirations to all out there!
Thank you for your kind words, and we whole heartedly agree. This is what life should be like. 🤗
The views are therapeutic❤,this has to be repeated with a group of pple😂😂
That's the plan. heading back in a few weeks the coast offroaders. 😎
You know the person knows and trusts their vehicle when the speedometer doesn’t work😂😂
Great video. Will be trying camping with the family soon
Good eye lol 🙆🏾♂️
It does not work but we have other fully functional tools to tell speed on the move 😄
Thanks for watching and you're very much welcome!
Nice stuff. what's the engine in your rig.
Thanks Javis!
It's running the 12Valve 4200cc 1HD-T engine 😊
Can I ask about security do you have like a personal gun, any weapons just in case because you never know what happens in the wild. Thank you
trust me you are more likely to encounter danger outside the wild that inside the wild
its inside a national park. so its safe......mmh maybe snakes
@@Cowboys1998 na leopard ikitokelezea
Hi Kenneth
We did check about wild animals at the gate before we got in. While the park is inhabited by wild animals, the location we were at was high up in the hills and the wild animals don't venture this high normally so we were good.
Additionally, on our last morning at the site, we were pleasantly surprised when two KWS rangers walked by as part of a routine patrol, apparently. That gave us an additional sense of security about the place.
It's all good, especially within KWS controlled parks.
@@OverlandTradition thanks for the feedback.. Will be visiting soon
What are the couples social media pages
Where are the Chyulu Hills? Best route to use?
My next move now, pig up bro
Imagine bringing my children to this place. Safe family friendly hill
Nice! Misst that when i lived in Kenya! Asante sana rafiki! Love from me in Sweden
Karibu sana bwana Erik
Thanks for the feedback and for the kind words. 🙂
Great stuff guyz
While its pronounced chulu its actually spelt Kyulu in the kikamba language where those hills are located.
Awesome! Thanks for that bit of knowledge.
I like the spectacular views at Chyulu Hills. Why is the area uninhabited yet looks fertile and greenish?
This is a national park, it's inhabited by wild animals. I'd say that's why.
How about a walk through of that 80 series?
Coming soon. Stay tuned. 😎
@@OverlandTraditionnotifications are one, waiting sir
Thank for the video. Showed us new places to explore.
Our pleasure!
Is this in kenya? What a breath taking landscape🎉❤ thkx
It indeed is. It's such a beautiful place, if you go just a bit off the beaten tracks!
Man this is awesome content. could you later on do a video of your gear and the car, tent and everything? Like the powered blanket. What made this trip what it was. Not sure if that makes sense.
Thank you. It makes perfect sense.
A walkthrough video is in the works for sure.
@@OverlandTradition I look forward.
am just down here in the nearest village to kyulu.
Great neighborhood you're in!
therapeutic. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
