I started watching this video and thought, "If this looks so good and is only 12 minutes he's probably gonna rush it and make jump cuts and it's ultimately gonna be a bad video." Then one minute thirty seconds in you've literally created space without jump cutting or speeding up the video and i'm just in awe.

In case you are having the same problem I was, here's a little time saving tip, make sure your have your processor set up to Classic 3D, otherwise you won´t be able to make the layers 3d and blend them at the same time

I'm having and issue with my particles dying. If I set longevity up to match my comp length, they take 2 minutes to reach full opacity, which sucks. How did you get your to stop dying out beyond 30 second?
Help! In minute 5:05, when I make the layers of the first 2 images on 3D the disappear from my screen, I folow the steps. I have Ae CC, I do not why, can anyone help me?
When you look at playback with lower quality, small stars will appear as blinking because sometimes they are rendered, sometimes not. When you actaully render, it wont blink
I think the problem was that the keyframe wasn't showing at all so I think I double clicked on the timeline to show the keyframe then everything else worked.

Hey, using After Effects 2022 here, not CC, and for the life of me I just cannot get this to render properly. Might have screwed up along the way somewhere but whenever it DOES decide to render, it'll render as a single jpeg for reasons I cannot figure out. Anybody got any tips? (Also rendering as a QuickTime Animation RGB + Alpha)

There are too many particles blinking. Your sample indicates that there is no blinking at all.

Great tutorial. When I set a keyframe and make the birthrate 0 all the particles start to disappear. Am I missing an option?

Set the 'longevity' to 30. (it's under the birthrate tab)

Is there a way to mask out a portion of the stars? Each time I try to use the mask tool it doesn't affect the stars at all.
