The food was great on the north side of Spree around Friedrichsstrasse 😋 but expensive. No clubbing 🙄

Your videos are great, and as a result I'm learning German with Anja. She's awesome. I haven't completed the course yet because I've had a lot going on, however I definitely will eventually. I was once at a party here in Florida with a group of Berliners and they said I was the friendliest Brit they've ever met. It's interesting how Germans are sometimes perceived as not being very friendly, yet these guys seemed to think we weren't very friendly either.
My family has spent the past month in Berlin and we watched so many of your videos to prepare for our trip. Sadly, we'd already booked an apartment in die Mitte before finding you! Anyway, after a summer month here, my question is: why do Germans hate ice in beverages? Berliners seem to love international flavors, so here is my official request to add iced coffee to the list, please.
Hope you had a good time! Well if you put ice in the drink it will dilute the taste, plus if there is ice in the glass you actually get less of the drink. Every time we are abroad we ask for the drinks without ice so we usually have double the amount to drink😅

Glad to hear about your positive view of Heidelberg. I'll be studying there this academic year and I'm looking forward to it. Anyone have any recommendations of things to do? I enjoy nature quite a bit so things in that area would be cool.
I love your chanel, you really helped me a lot in learning about Germany and Berlin before I moved here, If it weren't for your videos I don't know if y would've adapted as good as I did.
I lived in Germany for a year and honestly german bread is the best! This one thing alone is enought to move there❤ thank you for this video it was amazing. you must do it again. loved it!!
Does time pass more slowly in Berlin than in the rest of Germany? Can you do more partying in less time? Can you eat more food in the same amount of time? Can you pet more puppies in the park on a single Sunday? Asking for a friend.
Thanks! Love your channel! Have fun in Cape Town! You remind me of the fun, nice, cool Germans I met as a student in Tuebingen. Agree that in places like that you find German culture. All the best
Looking forward to my first time in Berlin!!! Got tons of advice from your channel, thanks!!! I’m from New York City and Berlin seems to have some of the same vibes.
Each and every video of yours is worth watching it. To be honest, with humour you clearly explain the tits and bits of each and every situation whether it is about pubs, places ,cities and jobs in Germany. I am studying biology, bio- chemistry,bio-physics , communication, team play, rights as I am pursuing my "Generalistische Pflege Ausbildung" from a small town of NRW 😁 It is at times enjoyable but still hectic and stressful. 😕 But still I love being in the medical field.
Great video! I'm going to Germany for the first time in September as a exchange student! I'll be living in Villingen-Schwenningen for six months, and I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna visit Stuttgart very often. Cheers from Peru! Edit: Thanks for the comments about my country!
hey, I really love your videos and the humor in them, especially about door policy. I've been going to a techno party for almost 15 years and i'm still scared to party in Berlin hahaha in september I hope I can get into Sisyphos Saturday afternoon. :D
Wowow Berlin sounds so much fun! I want to travel and experience things over there. America is ah... not fun 😅 I watched the whole entire video and its so nice to know more about your life before as a youtuber! So cool
I kind of agree with you on bread. I live in England and our bread is schiesse it's too soft as you say. I prefer Italian bread and French bread but as I like German bockwurst with German mustard I need to try proper German bread.
12:59 i know that culture it was called Ma'nene from Torajanese tradition, i hope that mummy face doesn't haunting you in your dreams😂. Thanks to enjoy our strange cultures and I hope you see more strange things in your next experience. Greeting from S.Sulawesi, Indonesia🇮🇩
True, German bread is what I miss the most about Germany. It’s just impossible to find any good bread around here. Also Amerikaner und gedeckten Apfelkuchen. Auch Wiener Schnitzel.
Thanks so much for answering so many questions! I'm going to be visiting Berlin soon hoping to move there in the future and your videos have helped so much!
It's a great new format and feels like a real talk )) 👍👍 What did your parents think about your choice to be a youtuber instead of doing a decent job? 😉 they couldn't know you will be so popular, I mean. And I heard that Germans are great traditionalists...
Glad you enjoyed it! 😄 My parents still don't understand how anyone could live from something like this hahaha, they watch my videos sometimes but they don't even speak english^^
@@RadicalLiving I hope you at least explain them ehat they are about in general terms)) They should be proud of you)) Come some day to Ukraine after the war finishes: we can make great bread, which is NOT sweet 😉

German words appeared on the screen. I just pushed on that image of a gear (⚙️) in the upper right-hand corner of the screen over your video. Then I selected "auto-translate" and then "German."

Thanks for this Q and A, really enjoyed listening to your answers! I don't wanna work 9-5 either. I'm actually thinking of becoming a RUclipsr but I don't have talents like you do haha. Best of luck to you!
I‘m a Chinese and started to watch your video after I came to Germany. I'm so happy that you lived in and recommend Heidelberg! I've been living here for 9 months now and I love it! BTW, I recommend Chengdu and Shanghai to you in China!
I'm from Rio (no, I never was robbed!) and agree with you: Peru is the best country in the region. Lots of things to see, charming people and good food. If you don't mind lack of oxygen, it's the place to go in So. America.
I still enjoying your channel. In my opinion very great tips. I'm Brazilian living in Portugal thinking move to Berlim after my definitely residence permission. Best Regards
It's interesting how, with the East vs West question, the answer is always East. And the thing that initially made the East the way it is, is what so many people desperately tried to escape.
That’s so true. Hitler experienced a lot of hardship before he became the Fuehrer. His father was extremely brutal, his mother died when he was only eighteen, he was rejected by the Vienna Art Academy, was homeless, served time in prison after the Beer Hall Putsch, etc. He sure turned out nice after all that.
I love your videos! ❤ your sense of humor and your honesty. Im learning German, looking forward to move to germany next year , all the things you explain about your country are great to get to know the culture a little more I appriciate you sharing that with us, and I cannot wait to try that bread you love so much and Go party ❤😅 you need a sponsor for that Hair boy! ... 😊 Thanks for making me smile❤ 😊
Great video as always, mate, and I am actually very interested what Germans think about us Slovenians. I feel like we have very similar culture (and bread, naturally), but do you think of us as the Balkans, prosperous state, or just transit country to go to Germany's holiday country Croatia? Keep up the great work und liebe Grüße aus Oberkrain!
When I visited Slovenia 15 years ago, to me (as a Belgian) Slovenia and Northern Croatia ( even Zagreb) gave me the same vibe as in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia: central European and Slavic cultures with nice , cosy, clean villages and cities, disciplined people... When we travelled south, to party in Split and Dubrovnik, the 'balkan' atmosphere was much more present😄.
As a Brit living in Berlin, I see similarities between Slovenia and Southern Germany, Switzerland and Austria. In many ways Slovenia is much more an alpine country than a Balkan one. Apart from the lovely scenery the good food and the culture, I have always found the people in Slovenia to be very helpful and friendly. In that way, they are also very similar to the other countries of ex-Yugoslavia and the rest of the Balkans. So I'd say that for me Slovenia is a mix of all the good things about Central Europe and the Balkans.
@@anthonyflambard6472 I agree, there are some big 'vibe' differences within Germany. Whenever I visit Aachen or Monschau i feel very much at home as a Belgian. When I go to Bavaria, there's definitely a different 'Central European vibe' as well, many similaries with Czech and Slovenian culture as well (altough Bavarians will probably not like this observation :)
For someone who is relocating to Berlin all the way from Bangladesh, I really enjoy your content. Your videos are funny and also helpful. Hope I bump into you someday in Berlin.
Hey, hope your well! I have a question for you. I live in Australia and I want to move to Germany and work as a pilot. Between Munich and Berlin which would be better for a job like that, or are both cities good? I love both cities, however Berlin is much more intriguing to me.
Great video as always! I've been a fan for a while and I'm glad you decided not to do the biology thing. ;) I even got NordVPN because I knew you wouldn't lead us astray lol. If you want the best bread, come to Latvia. Rye bread and sweet-and-sour bread are the best.
I just moved to Berlin (outside the ring xD), I watched a lot of your videos before moving, they helped a lot!
The Munich dance moves 👌
Diana Verry from Canada is doing English content from Berlin. Haven't seen videos from her for a while though now.
I think Austrian and Swiss bread is also quite allright. And I aggree on France and Italy! 🙃
My question got featured!!
I'm coming to Germany this October for my master's. I watch your videos to get some idea, you should really visit India sometime if you haven't.
Thanks for this Q and A, really enjoyed listening to your answers! I don't wanna work 9-5 either. I'm actually thinking of becoming a RUclipsr but I don't have talents like you do haha. Best of luck to you!
You can do it! It's all just a matter of practice
I‘m a Chinese and started to watch your video after I came to Germany. I'm so happy that you lived in and recommend Heidelberg! I've been living here for 9 months now and I love it! BTW, I recommend Chengdu and Shanghai to you in China!
I love Heidelberg, and I love Münster even more. Very peaceful place!
Nice, thanks! Glad you like it here^^ Wanna go to Chengdu for sure!
Here in Chile we have a lot of bread culture. If you haven't tried a marraqueta, you haven't really lived. You should come try it
This was great! Answer more questions!
I'm from Rio (no, I never was robbed!) and agree with you: Peru is the best country in the region. Lots of things to see, charming people and good food. If you don't mind lack of oxygen, it's the place to go in So. America.
I came across your videos today and I've been watching for maybe 2 hours now
Nice! Glad to hear 😄 welcome aboard!
@@RadicalLiving really liked the American friend videos, "Is that a commie?!"
I still enjoying your channel. In my opinion very great tips. I'm Brazilian living in Portugal thinking move to Berlim after my definitely residence permission. Best Regards
Ur videos made me visit Berlin so thank you I’m in Munich now leaving in a couple of days but yea ur videos helped a lot ❤
It's interesting how, with the East vs West question, the answer is always East. And the thing that initially made the East the way it is, is what so many people desperately tried to escape.
The nicest people are those who had hardship in their lives...
Hi! Thanks for great content! 😀
Would be also interesting to know about your experience with Wim Hof method you started some time ago?
I love your videos! ❤ your sense of humor and your honesty. Im learning German, looking forward to move to germany next year , all the things you explain about your country are great to get to know the culture a little more I appriciate you sharing that with us, and I cannot wait to try that bread you love so much and Go party ❤😅 you need a sponsor for that Hair boy! ... 😊
Thanks for making me smile❤ 😊
Great video as always, mate, and I am actually very interested what Germans think about us Slovenians. I feel like we have very similar culture (and bread, naturally), but do you think of us as the Balkans, prosperous state, or just transit country to go to Germany's holiday country Croatia? Keep up the great work und liebe Grüße aus Oberkrain!
When I visited Slovenia 15 years ago, to me (as a Belgian) Slovenia and Northern Croatia
( even Zagreb) gave me the same vibe as in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia: central European and Slavic cultures with nice , cosy, clean villages and cities, disciplined people...
So nice of you! Hope you'll enjoy Berlin!
Come to Poland, you will find some good bread and sausages there :)
try living in Prishtina for a few months I am pretty sure u will love it
Hey, hope your well!
I have a question for you. I live in Australia and I want to move to Germany and work as a pilot. Between Munich and Berlin which would be better for a job like that, or are both cities good?
I love both cities, however Berlin is much more intriguing to me.
Awesome. Excellent channel. Brilliant content. Danke.
Many thanks!
Great video as always! I've been a fan for a while and I'm glad you decided not to do the biology thing. ;) I even got NordVPN because I knew you wouldn't lead us astray lol. (It has really helped me while overseas too!!) I'm in Greece now, but will be in Cape Town from 19 September until December in case our paths could cross? But if not, I hope your time there is awesome, and thanks for sharing info about that program. i'm gonna look into it!
My Name is Andong… Great Berlin RUclips channel!!!
My mom was German. The best bread around where we grew up in the US was made by the Amish. They grow the grains, milk the cows and build the brick ovens they bake them in.
Good minimalism. I raise red file bread to you. ( current fav)
The Wifi Artists thing sounds really cool. Too bad I don't have a digital nomad job.
