  • Like the previous models in its line, the Dolphin M600's array of competitive features are hurt by its limited availability and inflated price tag.

    Today we review the Dolphin M600. The unit performs great, but it does not justify its high price tag. Especially in comparison to similar models like the Dolphin Sigma and Dolphin Premier. Please make sure to like and subscribe if you enjoyed the video! Let us know if you have any questions or need any help finding a robotic pool cleaner for your pool!

    So, bought this at a local dealer here in New Jersey. I have the m600. I used it 3 times last year and 2 times this year. Now the robot just died, and is unresponsive. I am taking it in for service tomorrow. Incidentally, I am not sure why, but the technician said that this isn't one of Dolphin's best units. Sad, I got nearly 2,000 US Dollars into this robot.

      Brought it in for service. It was a bad power supply.. It seems like this is all too common. It was replaced under warranty.

    The advantage of the platform used for the Premier & Sigma robots is the more robust motors, drivetrain and bearings, and probably better scrubbing ability. The foam rings on a combined brush won't last much more than 2 years, which it can live without, and the cleaner may go trouble free in a chemically maintained pool well beyond 2500 hours unless a cable swivel fails. The M600 advantages are 17% greater suction, superior wall climbing ability, dual layer filtration, and always connected IoT/smartphone control.

    If the bag is so great why did Dolphin quite using it in2016? That’s when the Premier was first made.
    What about active brushes? How many do the premier and sigma have (it’s zero)

    my local store sells the m600 for 1795 and I think that includes the caddy. At that price is it worth buying?

      Hi there,
      We would still recommend the Dolphin Premier or Sigma as an alternative. Both are significantly cheaper with very similar performance for less money!

      dont ask these guys . look at their reviews. ALL of them are biased. ALL of them. always refers to units they sell as better option. dont tell me it is not biased review .

      Sigma and Premier are Amazon exclusive brands. Which these guys would off course cheer for. Their reviews are always biased. Always do your own research. M600, S400 are off course better/more powerful and more durable products than the cheap Premier and Sigma brands

      @@Poolbots the sigma only has a 33 foot cord and my pool is 37 feet… my m600 just died and I bought it from an authorized retailer June 21

      Exactly you have to go to brick and mortar pool stores to purchase the m 400 or m600 which are better units this Poolbots pushes brands they sell online robotic cleaners get jammed up with bigger leaves they really aren’t designed to clean out a trashed pool they are designed to keep pool clean from dirt and small debris I would do my own research and talk to people who work in a good retail pool store our stores sell a lot of m400 and m600 units and the warranty and response from Maytronics is very good we have three stores and have sold several thousand over the last 5-6 years we have 5 demo pools in our yard and the m400 we use has cleaned them all for years 7-8 months everyday and has never broken down

    Mine has finally stopped working for the 2nd time. Had to send it in for warranty work the 1st time and pay for shipping one way. This was 6months ago. Now it has stopped working again... Not worth the price and headaches of this unit.. When it works it works but will stop working in less then a year and then every year after it. Cheaply made.

    My robot stopped at the end of its cycle at the bottom of the pool. I pulled the robot by the cord. Should I be doing that? Worried about fraying the cord.

    • @touge18
      @touge18 Год назад +1

      Pulling gently by the cord until the robot breaches the surface is how it's designed to be used, then lift out by the handle. Or use the "pick me up" feature to avoid pulling the cord at all. The cord is anchored to the motor box relatively well, just don't repeatedly be rough with it.
