In this particullar half marathon race, you can feel almost everything. Exhustion during the race, the joy of participation, the celebration at the end, the dancing, the raki and the crazy fun. Once is not enough 😉
@@marathoner wish i could be like one of those Europeans, close enough to visit all the time, or wealthy enough to retire and come live. its a long way from California, alas.... a little comment on my experience of the music.....the first time i heard it was on the bus from Chania to the south coast in Sfakia, near Lissos. Then in Rethymnon, which is such a lovely relaxing city, I stayed an extra day just walking around. one of the many things at the top of what i loved about my too short visit to Kreta was hearing the traditional music everywhere, even on the bus....14 years later still listen all the time to the greats of the generation Xylouris , Mountakis, Skordalis and some of the grreat young guys too (who are getting older!). After Rethymnon, i bought a few CDs from Heracles in Spilli en route to Aravanes...Later, on the way to Ligres Beach and listening to Nikos Xylouris with Giannis on Lauta pouring their hearts out , i saw for the first time the dark azure color of the Libyan sea. to be honest i burst into tears, the beauty of the sea and the emotion in the music both...
@@eytonshalomsandiego Good morning my friend . The truth is that the Cretans know how to sing, party and host. I'm not from there, I'm from Athens. But I often visit Crete, because of the road races that take place and give us the opportunity to do our excursion as well. Greece is a blessed place and since you have come and had a good time, I hope you will come again and see other parts of it. So I wish you, for 2023, that something big happens in your life and that it helps you to decide, as long as you make this long journey to my country. Have a good year, with health and love.🥰😇✈

@@extanegautham8950 Good morning my friends. It was difficult to recover after the economic collapse of our country. But Greece bases most of its economy on tourism. There will certainly be bad and unwelcoming professionals, but they are the exception. Every part of the world has magic places to offer to the visitor and we all yearn to go around the world. However, the habit of recent years that prevails worldwide is travel and sports. This is how one has, fun and travels. Here in Greece, almost every week, we take a short trip to nearby places to run with friends and enjoy the hospitality. So lets have fun wherever we are and live our lives consistently.
