My 2 cents on this watch? It is simply amazing. I have always respected Casio as an innovative, affordable brand. Watches for the people. That feeling comes from my childhood, I as always curious and amazed by what Casio engineers could stuff into their watches, technology-wise. Their designs on the other hand are not always pleasing to me, they often miss balance and the right proportions. This one is a clear home run. For a G-Shock, it is almost minimalistic. The handset, the white arrow indicator, the cool negative dot matrix STN display, all perfectly centred in the dial, very clear and readable. No over the top gimmicks, a beautiful execution, perfect solar integration ( Seiko, take notes please😀), good wrist presence without being too large. Accuracy, and of course the legendary robustness. It inspires great confidence, even more after I saw the video where a GST-B300 faces an explosion from close range, 3 times in a row, without disintegrating!! Kudos to the Casio engineers, Let the Swiss try to build such a great watch for this money!
Yes a truly amazing watch from an amazing company. Their fashion-centric models may be a little ridiculously priced IMO, but when they focus on performance, value, and ingenuity, it's hard to find another that can compare.
Man you hit it right on the mark I don't know why they don't make a watch like this all digital. I'm sure they're going to do it one of these days but when they do it's going to be a hot seller if it looks right
I wish there was a multiband version instead of the BT. I just dislike my watch requiring the smartphone with enabled bluetooth and the running app, to be in the vicinity of the watch during it's BT sync timeslots (00:30, 06:30, 12:30, 18:30). Btw: If someone also likes to keep his BT disabled, you can use the Automagic app for creating a simple script, enabling BT during these timeslots.
I agree, I do need to invest in a better lighting system. Currently I have been relying on natural light so when I film outside the times of peak sunrise or if the sky is overcast the lighting is not that good in the video lol.
The bright super led is a feature of the watch. So you can use it as a quick temporary light for say in a dark hotel room. Thats what a casino rep told me and its fairly true as I've used the super led on my edifice to do things like find a light switch or my shoes in a dark room. They have heard the complaint about the led though and in other model have switch to a black led that mainly just illuminates the led and loom of the watch on other models.
Imagined this one full-metal... Probably 200-250 g? My wife has a carbon-composite comb. It is very light-weight and very sturdy thing - no flex at all. About the watch - Very nice three-hander indeed! It even can show the date in dd:mm:yy format. Thank you for the review and opinion as usual :)
I've replaced the clasps on some of my casio bracelets with 15 dollar milled ones from alliexpress with great success. Its actually easier to do than adjusting the bracelet since the clasp is held on with regular watch spring pins.
If you want all digital try the titanium bracelet tough casio try the Protrek PRW-30 the PRW-31YT-7JF. I have the resin band version PRW-30-1AJF and its a fantastic watch.
You challenged to find a watch with better lighting. I will take you up on that. I had a Casio I can't think of the model now since it's discontinued and I lost the watch but it looked like the Casio MDV106. It had four internal lights. It was so bright you could light up a dark hallway. I gave it to someone to find something he lost in the pitch of midmight. When he came inside with the item (I had to remind him to give my watch back). It was a forty dollar watch but the last time I saw it on Ebay it was going for over 150. I think mainly cause of that lighting feature.
@@degenerateWA It was the Casio MDV-102. I am wrong it had two lights on the dial not four. You can see some reviews on YT. I swear that watch was a flashlight. Wow, I just looked and one on ebay is going for 327 dollars.
While the rest of the buttons are fine. The bluthooth button is not as easy. Still needs to be press further than the other buttons to work and fingernail helps. The bluthooth button is just trickery to get the right spot and lenght of time to get bluthooth. However have the b200, a great watch. I hate digtial abd like this watch, does both. I got the resin strap is metal straps dont always fit to well, either to tight or to lose. I found the metal clasps fail after awhile and dont click as tightly from New.
8.5" wrists is gonna be a tight fit. Mentally prepare yourself to maybe having to order some more links. Don't take my word for it; I can't remember exactly how many links I removed, but usually it's only 2 and I have a 7.5-8" wrist. (I do also wear my watches a little loose so you might be fine)
Why wouldn’t you use the Bluetooth? It only makes short connections to your phone, to adjust the time to perfection. It does not behave like a smartwatch that keeps connecting and drains your battery. It is just the icing on the cake that this incredibly cool and tough looking watch has pinpoint accuracy too.
I wouldn't recommend it. Water resistance rating does not equate to the actual depth indicated (i.e. 100m water resistant does not mean it is safe to take the watch down to 100m under the surface). But I couldn't tell you myself as I've never taken it down to 200m myself.
thing about gshock is everytime you buy one you find out what its missing and your in an endless money trap until you spend like 5k dollars finding THAT ONE lol.
G Shock is definitely an endless money pit once you get into them. For me, because I was so obsessed with them as a child, that obsession has bled over to my adulthood and it's just something I can't quit.
@@degenerateWA I got one about 5 years ago cuz I though the tide graph was so cool but i bought it and it took me like 5 years to figure out all the features of them all. i got the one and found out gyllenhaul wore it in a movie.but then wanted a triple sensor but could only afford the ggb100. and now I want the tough movement ones but am still waiting for something affordable 800 is too much for a gwg100 triple sensor and I want something awesome with a 24 hr dial like the mtg and mrg they should make an affordable tough movement gshock with the 24 hr dial i like analog. if the rangeman was analog ida bought it. hahaa
I have exactly the same timepiece and I absolutely love it.
Very hard to find something bad with this one. It's just an overall great watch.

This is another outstanding review. Thank you. I am considering buying this but I already have the gst s110d.
Whichever decision you make you still end up with a great G Shock🤘 thanks for watching.

Long live the all digital steel watch!
looks great, no excess garbage functions and easy to read. 👍✌
I agree👍

Hello mate, can I ask what is the case diameter without the crown? Many thanks, James, England.
If your traveling across time zones the blue tooth function is fantastic for easily setting up time zones and dual time on the watch for traveling.
I believe it.
Beautiful watch maybe I buy one.
Regarding to your coment about full digital gsteel I disagre. I just love analog tough watches.
Anyway nice review
Fair enough, thanks for watching!
Next on the to buy list...love it!
Thanks for the vid!
(tip: looks like your camera is struggling a bit due to poor lighting)

I would say complaining about the light being too bright just shows how great the watch is.

No problem🍻

I've put a few dive clasps on some of my G Shock bracelets
Is the gst-b200d (metal bracelet) worth more today now it’s not in production anymore and rare ?
I can get one for retail price Thanks
It's still too young to be considered rare. I can't imagine it's hard to find. I'd say buy it if it's what you like and in your price range.
If you want all digital try the titanium bracelet tough casio try the Protrek PRW-30 the PRW-31YT-7JF. I have the resin band version PRW-30-1AJF and its a fantastic watch.
Protreks are always a solid choice.
Awesome Timepiece, built like a Tank, outlive the owner. G Shock toughest watch brand in the World.
There's a good reason why I'm obsessed with G's.
Will the core made out of resin last a lifetime given the mr-g s?

I was so disappointed when they discontinued the 102. It does have a fantastic light. My GSTS110D is the same way. I can use it as a flashlight.

Thanks for the insight. Always good to hear as many views on a watch before purchasing
Does it get any bigger? I've got one on the way and I've got 8½ wrists. Or is there bigger adjustment at all?

I almost bought it. But I went for the GMW B5000 instead. (Never use the Bluetooth either.)

Can it dive to a depth of 200m??
