@@JackCrossSama James Cameron said this was the stepping stone to T3 until his friends stole the Terminator rights from him. Then he just lost interest in developing T3.
When I saw this back in the 90s, people were booing the Cyberdyne person giving the intro spiel right from the outset. The actor was loving the heat and giving it right back, threatening the throw people out. I'm surprised to see the cheers and woos because I remember the show a different way!
You are correct, I experienced the same. However, after time the repeat audience came to love and appreciate the performance of how annoying she was and just ate it all up.
saw this 13 years ago, probably before it was shut down for good, my friend had a crush on the actress playing 'kimberley' that day and was upset when she got choke slammed through the stage lol. She kinda reminded me of Shirley Manson who was the Terminator CEO in the Sarah Connor Chronicles show, I wondered if that was intentional on the show's part.

@@jduttskywalker I do have to say that the Jason Bourne show that replaced it is amazing, and I'm not even a huge fan of those movies. But I do miss the Terminator show.
In Hollywood they replaced it with the stupid minions ride. They took an awesome half real life half 3-D film with the original cast from terminator and made it into some ridiculous kid stuff. Nobody liked it when I was there I heard people walking out saying they replaced the terminator for this?
The Bourne Show is entertaining, but nowhere as good as this. I went last year and people gave it a standing ovation. I wanted to cry out, "You guys don't know what you're missing!"
never thought id see this but glad I finally got a chance to. this premise could have been a whole movie and would have been better than what we have been given over the years, with a few changes to this it would have been a blockbuster trilogy.
The most unique interactive 3D movie/ stage performance show I have ever seen and the continuity of bringing back all the actors, the visual effects and practical effects companies, James Cameron overseeing and directing the project. It’s such a shame Universal Studios decided to retire it from their parks and replace it with the Bourne franchise which isn’t in anyway as iconic as the Terminator. Stupid decision to get rid of it Universal, same goes for the Back to the Future Ride.
It was an incredible attraction. Especially if you are a terminator fan. It was a shame that it closed. But I will say the Bourne stunt show was. Worthy successor. Even tho Jason Bourne is likely less relevant than terminator now. It’s an amazing show. One of the only times a show was replaced at least by an equal usually it’s a downgrade. But this ride was epic and I am so glad I was lucky enough to see it
So many dopes in the comments freaking out over seeing people with newer phones/Apple Watches/etc...this attraction shut down at different locations in 2013, 2017, and 2020. The '1996' in the title is when the first version was shown.
I miss this. I feel like this was during the golden era of Universal Studios. Seeing this with Back to the Future, Backdraft, and the Blue Brothers was amazing growing up in my teen years.
Wow, nice to finally see this. Never got to see it, but I remember Backdraft and Waterworld. I think Waterworld is the only original set-experience still up (in Hollywood.) The stuff now like the Transformers ride doesn't stack up to this. I think analog 3D is still way better than augmented reality.
My childhood relived. Thank you for this. I went back when I was in 6th grade. And remembering it now to find this best video quality ever of it was worth watching start to finish.
Teary eyed, was my fav show, and in Hollywood, jumping into it at sunset, and out after in brisk air, and waiting for the park to close as I make my way to the exit, remains one of my favorite memories of my youth. I miss it a lot.
Glad I saw this in person as a kid at universal studios. Exactly how I remember! Awesome to see this on RUclips. The robots in person felt more realistic the gunshots were super loud. Looks better in person
Yup this and Backdraft were awesome back in the day, the robots were super intimidating, I wonder if anyone kept them would've been a waste to just scrap em.
It was the best 3d I'd ever seen. And the mist of water as they exploded! What a great experience! I don't remember the host being that annoying and distraction to the overall show.
This was one of the best attractions ever. The whole experience waiting in line, with the acting, the 3D effects, and how the room drops at then end -- it was amazing. I always felt like I was actually in the movie when I went. I wish we could have attractions of this quality now.
I'm glad I saw this in person but they should've kept it around, the short film alone cost $60 million dollars to produce, I think its still the most expensive film per minute.
Thank you for making this! Never thought I'd be able to see this again without the footage of the film being all blurry due to no 3D goggles. I love how not only you can see the film clearly, but still shows the moments in which it was supposed to be showing 3D like effects. First time seeing a video doing this and it's amazing! So glad I got this to look back to.
There were some really cool cinema gimmicks like this in the 90s, there was also a RoboCop motorcycle chase one where the seats would move in tandem with the bike.

Finally someone who showed us this masterpiece.
Would have been a lot better if those people talking could STFU until the video was over.
Meisterwerk ?
Thank you for this. I miss this show. Great memories of it. And T2 is one of my all-time favorite movies.
Cameron actually Directed this.
Saw this in 2000 on a US and Hawaii holiday from the UK. Still very fondly remembered!
There's an alternate reality where Terminator 3 starred Edward Furlong and this is as close as we'll get
The film footage is the T3 we deserved. Almost like parallel universe material!
kinda wish they would had made this into T3, maybe Skynet can make it for us someday.

The current stereoscopic 3d is perfect unless theres something wrong with the person, vr blew my mind so did those black glasses for 3d.
How did they get through the time portal with a motorcycle, their clothes, and weapons?
We're those scenes canon? If so they should of been on the Blu-Ray edition of T2.
Wow they updated the Cyberdyne promo because when I went in 2012 (Florida) it was still the original 90's version.
