Hi when doing this do i have to turn the main gas line off ?
Best video for tackling this sort of problem. All the other ones I have watched on YT simply say to use a paper clip or something similar to clean out the jets. This is much more thorough and is how a good professional would handle the job. Thank you for the upload. Subscribed after watching this.
Huge thanks for your comment and support mate. I'm also employing someone now to assist me in my workload. You can support us by donating to our website www.how-to-repair.com/help/buy-paul-a-beer/
At around 2am this morning after struggling for hours, I came across this video which entirely solved my problem. Burner on my old Bertazzoni range works flawlessly now thanks to you. Much appreciated!

10 years heating and plumbing engineer. I use toothpicks to take the injector nuts out. Also when you put them back in you should use the toothpicks to turn first few turns. It prevents cross threading them.
Good tip
Thanks for the warning about being suitability qualified, I almost easily did this myself in 3min and saved $150. God bless!
Five ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ for a great UK video.I have an LPG hob and I didn't feel fearful attempting this job myself. Followed your advice to the letter and all four gas jets are working again 😁
I couldn't call my Dad as he's no longer with us. Thank You so very much..xx You saved me the cost of a call out charge and labour etc.
Thanks, that has saved me the cost of a call out. The tip about using the gas to clear out the supply pipe was particularly useful.
Thanks so much, for a while now we had only been able to use 2 out of 4 burners. Now with your helpful video, I unclogged the gas jets and now have all 4 burners working great! Thanks!
Saved me a fortune, put on cilit bang, stopped working soon after. Couldn't hear gas coming out so new it was blocked. Didn't know you could remove jet so a big thank you from me sir. 👍
Alleluia! Many thanks. I thought that had solved my problem - well, not quite. The issue is that none of my copious collection of tools has a hexagon removal tool of the right size for our Bosch cooker. I cleaned the debris with the vacuum cleaner on full 'suck' with a close fitting tube taped on. No dice But at least you've pointed me in the right direction. Thank you.
Thank you! I just revived my Belling gas cooker that had two burners blocked. I cleaned the other two as well just for good measure. On a side note, once you've taken the jets out you could use compressed air to clear the blockage very quickly and efficiently. THANKS AGAIN!
Thank you very much for this video, you have helped me fix the stove at me & my fiance's 1st place together. The landlord is simply not helping & it's week 3 of takeaways for the 2 kids, have to fix the stove. Going to see what i can do with what i've learned here.
RUclips is wonderful, thanks again
Really glad the video helped you thank you very much for subscribing to the channel. I hope you and your fiance have a fantastic Christmas and a happy New Year
Fab video @how-to-repair! Was searching for a solution to this problem for ages and your video gave me the confidence to fix it myself! Saved £50-100 on getting someone out to do something that took literally minutes :)
thanks for your video. My wife said I had broken the hob based on what she read on a Japanese website, but it was exactly the issue you had and the fix was very quick and easy. only had my impact driver and sock to take off the 7mm gas injector. So had to be very gentle, and to my surprise when I turn the gas on without the injector a fountain of flakes flew out!! Cleaned the blocked injector and it working perfectly again. :)
glad you got it sorted please remember to subscribe as that's is was keeps this channel going. Thanks 👍
First and foremost I would like to say Thank you Sir, for a very informative info, my portable/ outdoor stove that I used for cooking fish, deep frying meats especially porks, is back at work now.. I almost bought me a new one, Again thank you to your video, my very picky Boss/Wife.. lolz... really hates those fishy smells, and oily messed inside her kitchen.. More power to you Sir, your family and GODBLESS... 🙏
Very clear and educational. Turning on the gas to clean the inside caught me by surprise 5*****

Thanks for this - saved me buying a new hob.
Done it for less than 7 bucks with harbor freight probing tools and airbrush cleaning brushes. Thanks man. Worked like a charm.

I followed the intructions here and my burner is functional again. I couldn't remove the gas jet because the nut was worn and encrusted but I cleaned it with a long sewing needle and it works again. Thank you so much.

Thank you. I ve been surviving with one cooker. Thanks to you, my second one working now.
Great advise. Fixed my gas burner quickly and easily. Thank you!
Thank you sooooo much for this brilliant video. Can’t afford to replace old hob but this video has given my sad cooker a new lease of life! Amazing.
You are welcome! glad we could help
Thank you sooo much!!! World made things easier for humans this way!❤
Fantastic video. I followed your instructions and managed to fix all of my gas burners with ease, Thank you.
I had my son's oven replaced because no one wanted to clean jets in his gas oven. Here goes to show you a really nice maintained gas top can become cloves. He was charges $350. For a new stove. 3 years later it happened again. So Now I see how to fix and clean. Got to get that tool. A friend told me about using a pipe cleaner. But need something more? Take off the jet and clean with that tool small wire brush. I just saved your video to show maintenance.
Brilliant thanks! My Rangemaster 110 LPG is once again a five-burner cooker...I was down to two, and struggling, so a great help! :)
Mine has been a struggle. its a 4 hob burner and in the last two years i have been using only two. But with what you've shown I will get a gas engineer to do EXACTLY what was shown here.....
Saving the link and subscribing to the channel too...
Thanks
Thank u! There was so much gunk on the burner screws that I could not even see there was a hole in it and was wondering what I did wrong. This fixed the problem! Corona time is best time to fix and clean the household 😂
Geez man. Try cleaning the damn stove once in awhile, sounds disgusting! 🤢🤮
Thank you, this was super helpful - we were able to clean three blocked rings on our 15yr old hob.
thank you mate!!! very much appreciated and the burner is now working!!! top notch!!!
Hallo thank you to show how clean this beautiful stove 😮I was wondering what going on when the was no flame now I knew how clean my Univa thank Dimpho Johanna Molefe from South Africa Gauteng province
Thank you so much. You've just saved me a shed load of money. My gas hob flame was so small after spilling boiling milk on it last night. I used a cloth to mop up the residue and left the parts open to dry overnight. That didn't make any difference, I thought I was going to have to call a gas engineer out. Watched your video, literally only used a clean sharp wooden kebab stick to clean the gas jet and hey presto, the gas flame has returned to normal! Brilliant!
Really glad it helped you fix your problem Thank you for leaving a comment this is for you ruclips.net/user/shortse432SAb2g08 please remember to subscribe as that's is what keeps this channel going. Thanks 👍
This is a Fantastic video, so clearly explained, Thank you.
It would be great if you could always list the names with a URL link of the products that you have used in each video so we could have the same/similar tools or products before we start the task.
e.g. URL link for the Gas paste you used around the jet, the wire brush, the pointed jet needle etc. Thanks
Thank you. All burners are now working really well.
Finally, a tutorial that is applicable to my stove! thank you so much!
Thank you so much. Watching this video has just prevented me from having to buy a new cooker 😁
Glad I could help! Thank you For leaving a comment this is for you ruclips.net/user/shortse432SAb2g08 please remember to subscribe as that's is what keeps this channel going. Thanks 👍
this is good stuff! My lady say i am her hero now. Thanks a bunch for sharing the video and telling me this is 7mm socket.
I had to remove the burner from the feed pipe to clear blockage, now working fine.
Another tip: if the jets look green and corroded, put them in some boiling water and baking soda solution, this should clean off the corrosion and put the jet hole back to its original size.
Thanks a lot!!!
Followed your easy steps, and now i have an excellent flame again...

Thank YOU saved me service fees and was fixed in 5 mins
I'm glad we could help you
11.11 Just followed your advice Christmas is back on ,thank you .
I think the yellow flame would indicate too much gas/ too little oxygen, which might happen if the jet was enlarged. Really great video. I'm about to buy products at the site. Many thanks.
Thank you, I just cleaned my gas hob and worked like a charm!
Excellent! Thanks we have a live show every couple of weeks if you need more help

Thank you soo much for the video. It solved the problem, Really appreciate your effort.
Thanks for this I’ve just fixed my smallest jet after thinking I would need to buy a new hob. Or get a gas fitter. Took ten mins to do and five of that was finding a small pin to clean the jet.

Absolutely BRILLIANT, cooker sorted, husband loves me
Thank you very much! I appreciate your explanation of why/how to clean the gas lines. Yes, I unplugged the electric lighters by unplugging the stove. Great advice! Hope everyone is well and safe where you are.
You are the best!!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! I now have the back left hob back!!
VERY HELPFUL! Thank you. My worry was the convention on how to remove the jet. As it is Gad I wasn’t sure whether for some reason it would have to be clockwise. This video helped me a lot!
Righty tighty, lefty loosey
Thanks for the easy fix.

This is very informative. Can you please mention which tools you have used so that I can buy from market
What are tools ur using thank for this video
Do you have to switch off gas supply to do it or just the electric supply?
This is so helpful. Thank you!
I’d like to know where to purchase that mini whole brush and pick?
Thanks so much for this💃
Very useful, thank you. On my gas, one of the knobs would not turn. Would it just be a case of removing them and cleaning them?
Great. You've done the easy one. How about the grill?
my burner lite with the ignition but the clicking doesn't stop, sometimes they do , but when the stove was new this this not occur. Does the spark module need replacement, or the ignitor, please inform, I have a JGC 8430 jenn air cooktop, thanks.
Where can I get new jets, I think for the amount of them I have to change it would be cheaper then buying the specialist equipment like the pipe clean and professional looking needle you were using...
Edit:
I forgot to say thank you.
Unscrew the old jet, drop it into a clean empty bean can. Spray a tablespoon or 2 of carburetor cleaner on it and let it slosh and swim in that solvent for a few minutes. Fish it out, blow it out with your lips, spit out any nasty solvent residue and think bad thoughts about me. Hold the small brass jet up to a light source and see the tiny pinhole is now clean. Reassemble.
If the hole is still blocked: it is microscopic(nearly), and musn't be hogged out to a bigger diameter. Locate a small metal wire that easily goes into the jet and physically poke the obstruction out. Then reassemble.
Great video, what sealant do you use when reinserting the jets?
None, the jet is machined to fit without any sealant.
Very helpful thanks for sharing mate.
Keep them coming
found this video very informative useful
