So Kyuss didn't spring from a cactus flower fully formed? I'll be damned....! Thanks to Brant Bjork for giving credit to his influences

This was one of my favorite cuts when I first heard Sky Valley, I didn't know it was a cover till much later. Come to find out Mario and his boys have cut some really wicked tunes and directly influenced a lot of the music that came from the desert, hats off to him as the desert bedrock.

I've known Mario since I saw his VERY FIRST BAND in the early 80's in Bermuda Dunes, California at a party in a living room. They were called "DEAD ISSUE." Famous bassist and my friend Scott Reeder was then on drums. Happy to see all my fellow desert fellas have so much success over the past 40-years.

The Across the River 1985 demo version of this song is ridiculously raw and good. His voice is so much better than what Kyuss could do with it. Far more soulful and punk at the same time. The whole tape captures a musical spirit you hope to find sifting through old vinyl. If you have not heard Across the River go to the search bar and type in Across the River 1985 Demo and enjoy "Tomorrow... tomorrow... its always tomorrow!"

      it's a guitar amp. Either a V2 or V4. It's basically a bass amp though (a V4B is just a V4 without reverb).

@@dezionlion so the guy probably likes the same stuff as you do, possibly plays the same instrument, perhaps with greater passion and the best you can do is putting him down like 12 years olds do? It seems you're not much of a professional musician yourself, unless of course you start to list all the famous band you've been playing with. Bullies will be bullies.
