On today's adventure, we headed out to check out a new creek in the Collin County Area. This creek is in the Austin Chalk Formation! We took our friend Haley along to hunt with us and we found some very interesting and a VERY AMAZING unexpected find!

Luckily didn't see a single snake. Thank goodness because I'm kinda afraid of them 😳

What was that odd metal thing by the brick? I'm wondering if maybe y'all found some slag (the porous pieces). Great video, y'all!

Hey! We picked it up. It looked like a part to an old tool or machine. It was definitely cast iron. It was cool looking!

I live in Wichita falls and I've been trying to find some places to find some fossils haven't found many around my area. I was wondering what was the closest place you guys have found fossils to Wichita falls?

We haven't ventured out that way but our video *How to find your own Fossil honey hole basically anywhere* should be helpful!

Looks like a pretty creek - some of those flintlike stones may be from fill rock dumped in near the bridges, though. After washing and tumbling downstream it's almost impossible to tell.
Let's hope for rain soon so we can go on a creek crawl together!

That turtle piece turned out to be the find of the day! I found out the species and it's interesting to say the least! Had weird spikes on it and we were stoked to find a piece w the spikes on it!
