I do think the bots are increasing, there is some talk about valve fighting against this issue too. It may feel like real player numbers are decreasing but I have seen some older players making a return to the game, such as myself even. Demand across the market is strong and I genuinely believe that a legitimate solution to the competitive cheater problem could do wonders for the entire scene. Not disagreeing with you by any means, but I would say hyperinflation worldwide is a major factor all things considered
@ultycs as someone that plays DM regularly it feels hard to believe valve is doing anything. blatant walling didn't stop either. what's worse is that i cant play with my friends because despite me literally throwing some games i am again at 19k elo, which feels like pure elo hell with all the cheaters. the last time i have seen my 5 stack was 3 days ago when we lost to cheaters. i played more because i farmed some clips for a mouse review, but now i have no incentive to plat at all anymore. i also banned another cheater in faceit last week with an 80% win rate, so its safe to say even faceit is currently breached in terms of cheats.
@@glashausAimz2 Yeah man that's essentially the worst thing a player should be experiencing. I can't argue against the bs you have personally had to put up with but its simply unacceptable. Valve needs a wake up call but the business model/skins economy is strong and its almost as if they don't even need to address it. What you described is what will ultimately kill the game in the end, if nothing is done. Hopefully we can see something this year. Back in the day valve used to rollout huge VAC waves and cheaters would get banned randomly months later even if they weren't actively cheating at the time they got banned. We need something like this again alongside a VAC 3.0 with real efficiency and depth. Appreciate your input man. The more people that speak out on this blatant issue the better.
@@felox95can't tell about under 7k but there are cheaters in every rank and for me it was always the case. In eu after 20k you will get almost every game a cheater and some are blatant some try to play legit but its realy sad. For me there was no possible way except downloading cheats myself to win a game above 20k
@@xyi898 Skins market and economy still remains strong. One of the only major downsides with this game is the cheaters. Fix the cheating problem and it’s a recipe for another bull run imo

Hopefully this time is different. I'm sure they want to shift the playerbase back onto their own servers instead of Faceit. We will wait and see !
