I really enjoyed the ladies. I think many of them found friends for life in eachother. Susan was one of my favorites of the season. Not for Gerry, but just as a delightful fun person. If love to see her as the bachelorette. She'd be fun to watch. You just want to root for her. She was a sweetheart and supportive to every lady there.
I really hope Theresa signs a prenup. Apparently she has a lot of money, and he knows it.
She doesn’t have money. She’s upper middle class but definitely not a Rockefeller. Matter of fact their homes are of equal value. I think this is perfect.

I thought all the crying he did was ridiculous. He also lied about so many important things. I hope she has a pre nup. The tv wedding and honeymoon will be all free for him.
My thoughts exactly. It was not happy ending if someone was so hurt. However, I would never put myself in that situation. And yes, that crying was cringy.
Coming from a true skeptic in the love department . I believe they will spend the rest of their lives together. The fact that they were both in long-term marriages proves they are not quitters. People like that take the good with the bad and when times get tough they don’t bail. ❤️

But Teresa seems like the real deal. She's a product of another time when things were made of higher quality and built to last. She seems traditional and rare.
Marriage is a dinosaur of an institution and is going extinct quickly, as it should. This was a nice look into another time in history.

I absolutely love them together. They just mesh well. I think Theresa is just as genuine as he is. I didnt see him with Leslie. Not that I didnt like her, but i just think she was too needy and desperate. Theresa exudes class and a person who could reciprocate having his back. Leslie seemed more like she desperately needed someone. A relationship is 2 way. I love both Theresa and Gerrys families. I think they will all be one big happy family. Totally Agree. Leslie was way too needy and co-dependant. Nobody has time to keep propping up her self esteem every day. She is broken and needs to heal before trying to be with someone. Gerry specifically said he liked that Theresa knew how to maintain a long term loving relationship. Unlike Leslie who has multiple failed marriage and relationships. She was too LOOSE in Gerry's eyes. He wanted a more wholesome woman like his deceased wife, like Theresa.

I thought Theresa was the best match for Gerry from the get go. The only woman I didn't like was the one who said, "Zip it!" How the hell did she ever even make it on to the show? Yikes. For the most part I think the women were all so classy even though it would be very difficult at times to see Gerry so into a particular contestant. They managed feelings well. Good on them all!! I wish them all happiness and I hope everyone finds a wonderful, loving, fun, happy, devoted relationship!
I'm so happy for them! Their love and happiness are evident, and it brought tears to my eyes. This couple stands out as the first in Bachelor history who genuinely appear madly in love and have undeniable chemistry. However, amidst this joy, I can't help but feel a tinge of sadness for Leslie. She often reflects on her past relationships and how she consistently chose partners who mistreated her. It's clear in her mannerisms that she hasn't fully healed from those experiences, and she doesn't radiate the same vibrancy and zest for life as Theresa does. Nevertheless, I have faith that Leslie will find her person, especially with the show's extensive male viewership. On a positive note, I absolutely love Theresa's personality. She has grown on me with each episode, and it's clear that Gerry has also developed feelings for her.
I hope Theresa gets a prenuptial agreement. She is genuinely in love. I understand they want to move quickly because of their age, but maybe they need to slow down. She is a successful stock broker, and it seems they are selling their assets to buy a home in Charleston. That Hollywood Reporter article was quite alarming! Redflag! Slowdown, get to know each other, before making major life changing decisions, that could be devastating for both them and their family. I hope Leslie is the new Bachelorette, and finds her soulmate.❤ I hope there is happily ever after for all parties involved.
I don't think Leslie will ever find happiness with or without a man until she accomplishes loving HERSELF. Leslie, you deserve to be with someone who values you. I'm sure you have alot of good qualities! But if you give off the vibes that you don't value yourself & are needy men & others will take advantage of you. I'm certain you have alot of love to give, but give that love & respect to yourself first. You will then realize that he wasn't good enough for you.

yep! He is the type of guy who has relied on his looks and nothing else to get through life. Installing hot tubs is no career that would make someone a millionaire-- unless he owned the company and it was known nationwide. They sling their good looks and * to the highest bidder in order to find a nurse ( caretaker in their old age) and/or a purse( financial stability). EXaCTLY! It is sickening that ABC continues to encourage societal acceptance ( particularly by women) of misogyny and males who use and abuse women. If females are too blinded by their desire for a relationship to be willing to accept the truth of who someone is, they will suffer the consequences of selecting a louse for a spouse.
Gerry has shown himself to be a burned out player who slings his * and fake emotion to lure naive/stupid females in to his web of player nonsense. Very disappointing, but certainly not surprising. I hope this woman's family is wise enough to insist on protecting herself financial with a strong prenup. The women he professed love to then rejected should see this rejection as protection.

So, Theresa is the 1st place prize. This show has become DISTURBING. REALITY TV HAS TAKEN NEW LEVELS. THIS GUY IS A SENIOR CON. The other gal, Leslie, she is the lucky one...she dodged the bullit. I give the "relationship " 6 months...
He never during the entire season, had no twinkle, sparkle, sparks, fire, or chemistry for Theresa at all. He is not in love with Theresa. He treated Leslie really messed up. Playing cruel love bombing games with her emotions. Played her for a fool.
Theresa with the Joker's smile, will be hit with a very rude awakening real soon. He will never be able to continue to fake love or chemistry connection for Theresa.

Leslie needs to learn the lesson - I hope this sinks in for her - is that many folks are not who they seem, you are not broken, there is no broken btw - you are picking below your worth and these people are just disappointments that should be relegated to the dust bin in quick fashion - pick yourself up, get much better at ferreting out the bad ones and don't fall so quickly, completely and blindly, and you will at long last come across that person or persons who really should be with you.... not this guy - he doesn't deserve it
Gerry isn't broken, he isn't perfect and he's just a regular guy, nothing less nothing more. Women in the geriatric category aren't young anymore and don't have guys coming out of the woodwork trying to be with them anymore. They aren't in a position to pick at little things about a guy like they did when they were young so a guy like Gerry is a pretty good catch. He may well be a lot of those women's last chance at love in life.

Leslie seemed a bit overconfident in such a situation as this. I found it perplexing that a 64 yr old woman would start making long term plans after spending 1 night with a man making a promise (whether real, imagined, or implied). I found it a bit weird that she wrote marriage vows and began planning their life together. She must have realized that this man was spending a night alone with Theresa and anything could happen or be said behind those closed doors.
Yes...I came for this comment. After Leslie's extended rant I thought "Yeah, Gerry chose correctly" Leslie seemed fun and genuine but like someone holding on to some serious past betrayal. She needs a partner who will be patient and consistent to build trust. I still hope she finds her person, she absolutely deserves happiness!

I think Gerry thought the Exact same thing. He had chemistry in spades with Leslie. But I also think he came to recognize that he developed chemistry for Theresa who also was his intellectual, emotional and personality match. All he needed was desire, and he apparently found it. They seemed to have a heck of a great time. He didn't compromise. Though in my opinion he would of'd if he'd chosen a gal just cause of her 'dance' moves...

I applied to be on the show before the lockdowns. I told them I realized that I was out of their age range. However, they need to have a show for us older people because we need love too! Around 5-6 months went by and low & and behold, the "Senior edition" was announced, I couldn't believe it! But then covid and production came to a halt. Now post covid, and here we are! Sure, it could have been a coincidence. However, why did they keep the same format for all those years? And then months after I give them the idea they go and do it? Sure, we'll just say that, but I know this was all me! I don't want any money or fame, just maybe a thank you, and let you know that I am so happy that even though I did not get picked that I can help others find love, or at least hope. I explain all on my RUclips channel. So if anyone knows how to read body language. They will know that I am telling that absolute truth.

After all the Glitter and Glam is over and they settle in the real life we will see how it plays out.They have alot in common,but will Garry give her unconditional Love when the everyday stresses of life set in.The sincere heart is what lasts.Also Teresa is financially secure thru hard work.Not sure what he will bring to the table.Will she have to bring home the Bacon and Fry it too.Only Time will tell.

Sadly that is how trauma can manifest itself. I think Gerry chose the more financially stable partner and the more emotionally stable. As time goes on I suspect we will learn more about Gerry and who he is. I don't think he portrayed the full truth. But I wish Gerry and Theresa every wonderful, loving happiness. I think they are the best match. To see 2 people at their ages fall in love and have a chance at love again is beautiful!

A lot of women will feel empathy for Leslie and make her the victim with Gerry as the "villain". But the majority of men would honestly choose Theresa. 💯
1) She's only been with one man her whole life who she dated from 14 to 18 and then married 42 years. This means she has no baggage from multiple marriages or a ton of dating/sexual partners like Leslie.
2) She is wife material that a man wanted to be with his whole life until he passed. Leslie by her own admission is always rejected by men. This means she's hard to be with.
3) Theresa takes marriage vows seriously because she put work and dedication into it. She also stayed celibate out of respect for her late husband and waited YEARS until she had healed to put herself out there again. This is admirable and shows she was in it for the right reasons.
And he dated a month after his wife died, according to several articles. Google it, he doesn't seem to be the guy we all thought he was. Hope Theresa is careful.

Finally a Bachelor chooses the right girl!! I rooted for her from the beginning, but was worried he would’ve gone for the younger model. Pleasantly surprised. Gerry is the Best Bachelor yet!

I really enjoyed watching the Golden bachelor and I think Gerry made the right choice. I think we all fell in love with Faith for ourselves 😂. Gerry had a strong physical attraction for Leslie and I think he confused lust for sincere love. Theresa checked all his boxes for compatibility but it wasn't clear if she checked his box for physical excitement and intellect. Theresa came off as more conservative and maybe a little naive, pollyanna-ish. Finding out that she was business savvy and (I'm assuming) checked the passion box during the fantasy date all added up to her being the total package for Gerry. Also, I don't think wanting to be with a financially stable partner makes one a golddigger just sensible. Lastly, Theresa is apparently money-wise so I think she can handle her own when it comes down to prenups etc, so we can calm down. Ok getting off my soapbox.

According to his ex, he’s not as wonderful as he seems. He lived with another woman after his wife passed. He made her give him half the money for their dates before the date. Then they were supposed to go to his high school union and he refused to take her because she’d gained 10 lbs. And he kicked her out of his home. If this is true I feel bad for Teresa because she’s in for a bad ride with this guy. Its not too late to cancel the whole thing Teresa. Run girl run.

She would go into the hair salon and cry about his affairs. Also, the last time he owned a restaurant was in 1985 when he owned a burger joint then after that he was a plumber or something. So he’s hardly a “restaurantuer”. He seems very cheap which explains why he picked Teresa. Teresa is willing to pay for stuff and has money.

We all have to realize that this is scripted (or at least partially scripted) television. Words, looks, things behind closed doors are edited to make for drama. Unfortunately, we don’t know what was really said or implied. I haven’t watched the series in years because of the seemingly fakeness by both the women and men. Almost sorry I wasted my time last night on the hype.
Faith would be the perfect golden bachelorette, and I hope they bring back the whole cast to make cameos/be apart somehow. Their cast were literally friends and was not expecting the camaraderie🎉
Theresa really looks like a cabbage patch person. Gerry will be thinking of Leslie and some of the others a lot during his marital activities. It is what guys do. They pick who appears to be safe and easy to control while fantasizing about the ones they were too deeply insecure to go after. Leslie dodged a bullet with this narcissist and busted player. She should be mature and experienced enough to realize that, but I think she was horrified by Gerry’s public display of extreme emotional immaturity by professing such deep love to multiple women. He showed just how cheap his love is. Only a person with very low self esteem or in desperate need of having to have a spouse would accept a love that cheap.

People in young generations don’t have a clue about love and life… they think they have all the answers and one day they’ll be invisible too. But it’s after 40 when you actually start realizing and feeling like you’re getting life’s best.

I didn’t like Theresa as socially she is a disaster around other people, but I can now see why he picked her! The age is closer and he seemed to prefer the business type lady, and the one who comes from a very long successful life long marriage like he did, instead of a damaged lady from many divorces and failed marriages. I feel the exact same way! I really liked Faith and was sad to see her go. I didn't care for Teresa, especially after she snitches to Gerry. But after the family visits, I really could see that the long-term marriages and being widowed really brought them closer. Then last night she looked so beautiful and they really did look happy. Also, I thought the way Leslie acted about not being picked showed a side of her that wasn't compatible with Gary IMO
Leslie was crass and abrasive, sadly all of her failed relationships and marriages have hardened her. Also she does not seem as refined as Theresa. Using vulgar language and screaming about $60,000 dress (doubt the veracity) and diamond earings that she purchased for the proposal...alas, she showed her true colors 😢
I'm so happy for them! Their love and happiness are evident, and it brought tears to my eyes. This couple stands out as the first in Bachelor history who genuinely appear madly in love and have undeniable chemistry. However, amidst this joy, I can't help but feel a tinge of sadness for Leslie. She often reflects on her past relationships and how she consistently chose partners who mistreated her. It's clear in her mannerisms that she hasn't fully healed from those experiences, and she doesn't radiate the same vibrancy and zest for life as Theresa does. Nevertheless, I have faith that Leslie will find her person, especially with the show's extensive male viewership. On a positive note, I absolutely love Theresa's personality. She has grown on me with each episode, and it's clear that Gerry has also developed feelings for her.

I feel terrible for Leslie but I think this is actually the right pick for everyone. It's not that Teresa is "better" than Leslie, but I think she's a better fit for Gerry. Leslie is more free-spirited and seemed less willing to mold her life to fit Gerry's. Again not a bad thing (some would say it's even more desirable). Teresa showed more willingness to settle down with Gerry and seemed more unabashedly committed to Gerry's idea of a future. I think Gerry cared about them both, and I think even his connection with Leslie was more immediate, but he saw a better fit with someone like Teresa, who was more willing and able to imagine a tangible future with Gerry.
That said it's terrible how much Leslie was led on. It's partly just the nature of the show, and partly down to editing as well. But I also think Gerry is just very open with his feelings and falls for people VERY easily, so he made statements that were too extreme given that he evidently hadn't made up his mind yet.
I think you're right about everything. People are demonizing Gerry, but he just said what he genuinely felt in the moment. He wasn't trying to deceive anyone. I think people tend to see things in black and white nowadays.
I feel slightly bad for him. He gave 100 percent to each lady. I don't think the intention was to mislead, it was to be in the moment and give a fair shot to each one. I actually think he intended to choose Leslie for a moment until he gave it deeper thought and realized there was more to Theresa than he first assumed. One has to draw the line at promises though, cause obviously any made to Leslie can't be kept....
