I love the honesty of the red 80-series. Bare-nuckle, getting the job done, zero effs given in the looks department (still has dents and dings).. just love it. Great work guys, as always
Wow. My diff just got that little bit stiffer when I got the notification of a new Video from Aussie Four Wheelers. The red Landy is really getting some panel damage. But obviously, he bought a hammer and, well, he bought a hammer. And bugger me if that thing doesn't climb up like a monkey on Viagra. And of course, I love seeing the Nissan walk up the hills like a hungry octopus. I have a soft spot for the Nissans, but not in my pants. The Disco had the best wedgie! In fact, I enjoyed watching the whole darn thing. Keep them coming!
as always, very good vid! I watch an A $@load of offroad videos, & your's are the ones I never "watch later"!!! As I'm very close to FINALLY putting some effort($$) into my 06 GU ute (tdi4.2), I'd be very keen for some communication with you on your "trial & error" up to this point!? I'm not going straight into an 8in lift, & 40in treps!, but eventually, & don't want to waste money on the way!!! Great work Guy's, all of you😆😎
Aussie Four Wheelers (Hemi4WD) Plans for a start, are The Superior 6in hybrid superflex, and 37's(for bush). keep 33 at's for daily use. Little at a time, upgrade the axles, lockers as $$$ permits. Won't be all at once. Bought this particular ute because of low k's (84000). And in process of converting rear to coils (leaf rear chassis) Any mods you did that you regretted, or just never used enough to justify? I'm a welder/fabricator/mechanic by trade, (was) & do my own fitting. Don't want to waste a weekends labor i don't need to... Would you change the order of any mods? And anyone in your circle is welcome to chime in on my questions.
That's a good start straight off the bat 👍 I would've installed the PSR 5-link but they couldn't give me a release date at the time, which was a year after purchasing my hybrid Superflex arms. I don't regret it now, due to the circumstances at the time, but would've went that way if it was available. I also like the new Superior remote res adjustable shocks. Love my Amada's though, but they're not adjustable.
Aussie Four Wheelers (Hemi4WD) I'm a big fan of Superiors off the shelf quality. And heard nothing but good reviews on the shocks. Are you still on Standard axles/CV's? I know the auotmatic helps save parts, but sadly an auto for the 4.2td is close to 20k😣. Thanks for the interaction, looking forward to next video.
jay Anderson Autos are infinitely smoother and easier when crawling, it's also much easier on parts as the torque converter takes the shock out of impacts. However Autos get hot on the beach and they also hate water.
+jay Anderson auto is the way to go. I've driven them on the beach as well, no issues whatsoever. But rock crawling, much better control of the vehicle.

No worries mate. Yes, I've upgraded CV's and axles, but ran standard on 37s.
what length and width is the discos rear awning and where did he get it from?
Cheers, awesome vids too!!
Hey mate its 1.2m x 2.4m, I bought it of a mate who couldnt fit it on his cruiser but its just a cheapie of ebay or something.
11:17. = hectic. Remind me to never let you guys borrow my car.
Lol 😂 Glad you liked it at least 😉
Awesome
Thanks for watching 👍
18.75 the jeep made it up with lockers
It's Monday. Where's my VIDEO! LOL
1½ more hours, @ 6pm 😃
Where does this track start?
Does any of these have a locker?
Lol 😂 You can't tell?
what editing software do you use
Using AVS. Tried Power Director but didn't like it (although some functions were cool). Also tried Premier but didn't have the time to relearn.
are auto 4x4s good or bad for off road use?
Depends what you mean, an automatic transmission 4x4 is alright for offroad use.
An automatically engaging 4x4 system is not good for offroad use
gullf1sk yes i ment just a auto 4x4 instead of manual, as i dont quite like manual but love 4x4ing..

Jake warren thanks mate, i wont be doing much or any beach driving, mostly mudding and mild of roading, just deciding if i should go manual or auto
+jay Anderson auto is the way to go. I've driven them on the beach as well, no issues whatsoever. But rock crawling, much better control of the vehicle.
I just love watching off road driving not doing it though
Enjoy 😉
