Are used to have this one and I used it for about a year. It was shit. I’ve recently purchased a set from Toolstation for £14.99 and it clips together a lot better and seems to work a lot better as well
When I first saw these and found out how they worked it occurred to me they are more likely to make the humidity WORSE because blowing hot air across water is more likely to evaporate the water than condense what is coming out of the dryer
We have same dryer and same box, we moved house and the new house doesn’t have space nor wall space to vent the dryer, the box works mediocre at best, our old house had a hole for a dryer, we are now changing after year to a condenser dryer, as we have had a fair bit of moisture caused by vented dryer, the more cold water added to a about 3/4 full it worked best. We have same problem with lid won’t clip properly.
Wouldn't buy one again it still used to steam up our utility room we have a wall vent and a condenser dryer and a vented dryer that vents outside in another room
The only way I've managed to stop the steaming almost completely is by taping up the vents on it with strong tape to fight the air pressure. It works to stop condensation, but it does impact drying times and slows the dryer down a bit. So frustrating lol
It's meant to basically condense the water vapour from the hose so you can use a vented dryer indoors rather than have to open a window or if you're unable to have a dryer vent installed. But it seems pretty useless
Might have had better condensing with ice cubes, that humped thing in the middle of it is supposed to force the air down it’s sides and into the cooling medium = water/ice cubes, through/over it and out the sides of it. Yes, the box is rubbish, and there are other designs of that, some tell you to put ice in them. I like looking in catalogs and have seen these condensing boxes. That short duct is often pictured with the front vented dryers - in the bottom corner/the door, and with rear vented, at the side of the dryer. Being frank, a condensing/heat pump dryer is the most obvious solution, if you can’t vent it outside,
The condensing box looks rubbish, I've a similar dryer and quite a bit of lint will get stuck below the removable filter (use torch to see down inside). You might be better with aircon window screen and blow it outside.
Had a condenser box years ago when I had a white knight dryer waste of money rubbish didn't work well don't bother buying one Bought a condenser when vented dryer broke down
No, under no circumstances should you ever be venting a gas dryer into a room. It should only be vented outside as they produce Carbon monoxide fumes which can be lethal. Only will work on electric dryers
Merry Christmas to you too buddy :). I hope next year is a great year for you. And yeah, it is a shame unfortunately :( but, gotta try and look for the positives I guess
Yeah will be selling her at some point next year, when I eventually get a Washer Dryer she'll go. I'm quite disappointed at the heater only being 1200W, the old Creda was 2000W and dried a full load in roughly 40 minutes, whereas a full load in this takes nearly 2h according to programme guide haha
We have the white knight compact vented dryer! Same as yours just vented!

Had one years and years ago it was rubbish it used to steam the kitchen up so bad used to have the extractor on it was that bad threw it away x
Mine was so shit the clips snapped of straight away lol, it’s basically just to collect lint and that’s it
Awesome 🤩
Cheers mate! Shame the product wasn't though. Merry Christmas to you as well and thank you!

Honestly agree mate, this contraption was pointless. How good is the one you got at condensing? Does it still produce any humidity in the room?

Basically just stick a stocking over the outlet and it does the same thing 🤣
Haha, doesn't sound too bad tbh. Does it work well?

Probably might do better. I’ve however taped and blocked off the vents in it and so far I seem to get pretty much no condensation
@@HooverA3060 Is it still working taped up?
@@barrycameron159 still took a while to dry, as the White Knight always did. It prevented humidity in the room though
@@HooverA3060 Thanks for the reply. Is it safe to cover over the vents? I'm in two minds about just sticking the hose out the window
is there a better alternative? doesnt matter if costly and runs on electricity

Very good condenser box Brandon my mum and dad and me used to have a condenser box my mum and dad had a Hoover 6k vent tumble dryer
Umm no this wasn't good haha. This is actually possibly the worst product I've reviewed so far. It needs to be improved for future sellers

I have what Knight c45cw tumble dryer

Vented dryers have a new condenser box, but condenser dryers already have one on the top left of dryer, good review 10/10
I must have a look for this new one, condenser are so much better for condensation. I wish compact condensers had really caught on tbh, they'd do well
