  • Going into any new environment is stressful, especially an environment like prison. Use these examples of my experiences at prison to sway you from ever stepping foot in there.

    Hey Clark! Your old Co-worker here! I too was at northern state prison in Newark NJ after getting a year and a day for "borrowing" a car which wasn't mine, but that was my last trouble 27 years ago. That prison was the worst!! I too took the 3 steps after leaving there and changed ppl places and things and moved to Delaware. Very accurate and inspirational account of that place but u forgot to mention one thing about that place... as I used to look at the courtyard at night, I'd see what I thought was very big cats roaming the ground at night..... turns out they were actually HUGE RATS, looking for food at night. Too many people would be walking around during the day, so they'd only be active at night...
    Glad we both at least got to experience that place and decided to change for the better. Keep up your great work!!

      @@clarkfredericks3309I was just curious, is Northern State Prison minimum security? I know that one of the opening scenes of the 1989 film Lock Up starring Sylvester Stallone was filmed there.

    • @clemfarley7257
      @clemfarley7257 7 месяцев назад

      No. It’s medium. Only Rahway and Trenton are max as I recall but it is essentially max. It isn’t 23-1 lockdown and there are movements but it’s max by any other state’s standards.

      @@clemfarley7257I see. I was just curious as the 1989 film lock up portrayed it as a minimum security prison. Although a couple of the things I have read described it as mixed security.

    • @clemfarley7257
      @clemfarley7257 7 месяцев назад

      Many in NJ are mixed but northern houses people with a lot of time. It’s medium. It might have minimum-security units. It might have ad seg. It can easily be used for max. But it’s one of the tougher places.
      I think it comes down in part to how freely they move. Also a lot of the inmates are let out to clean up highways too. Rahway and Trenton inmates I don’t think are short enough on their sentences for that and are considered more dangerous generally or at that time in their bid.

    I went to prison 3 times in New Jersey and once in Florida. My first time going to prison in New Jersey I was a 15-year-old kid. They sent me to Jamesburg and the juvenile medium security facility. I did about 30 months. My second time I went through craf then I went to Annandale, then bo Robinson. I only had a three flat so I did I would say a little more than a year because I had most my time on that case in the county jail. After that I got a nine year sentence and I did the prison tour that bid. I started in craf then I went to Annandale then Bordentown adseg then Yardville, then Northern state STGMU a.k.a. the gang unit. Then I went to Southern State, Then to Trenton adseg, then I eventually maxed out from Southwood State prison. I can understand what you mean about the young female black officers starting trouble and acting like thugs. We had one of those down Yardville her name was Mrs. G. She was so disrespectful and she had a group of bloods that she would always let’s stay out during count and they were like her little hit squad. If you got in the argument with her, she would’ve open your door and 4 or 5 of her inmates would run in your room and attack you on her order. I never really had any other issues with officers except for down southwoods. Those guards didn’t take no shit. I’ve seen them really hurt people for stepping out of line. Craf officers are also no nonsense, but it was understood that if you act stupid, they will smash you on the spot. I seen an experience lot during my time in New Jersey State prison, but Florida is a whole different level of brutality. In New Jersey we more or less have decisions to make on what we’re going to do with our time in Florida they shave your head day one. they don’t even give you underwear boots or sneakers. You’re Treated like an animal. If you don’t have anybody on the outside helping you financially, you can have an uncomfortable life in Florida state prisons, and I know this from experience. New Jersey was tough, but I was able to maneuver. But when I came to Florida, I was in the state I was not familiar with where I knew nobody and I caught a charge and they sent me straight to prison for it and it wasn’t even a serious charge. It was a simple possession of drugs. In New Jersey I probably got a misdemeanor ticket for this case, but in Florida they decided, I had to get a state prison sentence.

    Did you ever meet a black inmate named Albert Hairston? If so thats my uncle. He was out at NJSP and moved too NSP. Not sure what year he was moved to NSP but he’s been incarcerated since 1992. He’s still in. Just wondering. Last time i talked to him was back in i think 2015.

      @@clarkfredericks3309 My bad I prolly shoulda mentioned he goes by Carlton. I saw in another comment that you said you left Northern Sate Prison in 2016. He might have transferred out there after 2016. Not sure what year. I was actually born the year he was arrested. He was arrested Christmas Day 1989 for murder, robbery and battery. The part in your video about tree jumpers made me laugh my ass off. I use to write my uncle when I was just 13 and I was always asking him questions. In one of the letters he wrote me saying he wasn’t no tree jumper. I had to ask my mother what that meant. Needless to say I wasn’t able to write no more letters to the prison. Lmao!

      Picture a guy behind a tree in a raincoat and naked underneath. As a young child walks by he jumps out from behind the tree and opens the raincoat in front if the child. A tree jumper is a pedophile
