Thank you Lady Tramaine for all those beautiful songs that you and Bishop Walter Hawkins have made over the years. I got saved off of changed over 40years ago I love you RIP Bishop thank you for your beautiful songs.
Every time I hear that song I think of my sister Sharon who passed in 2014. She had the most melodious voice. Many people said she sound exactly like Traimaine Hawkins. She could hit all those notes. Lord knows I miss her and Bishop Hawkins but his music lives on.
Go Ahead Lady Tramaine Hawkins! Bishop Walter Hawkins was as he was called a "Heavyweight Legend" in gospel music. He wrote songs that not only touched the heart but "caught" the heart. He put scripture in his music. That was a "highlight" of his writing style. I want to mention a few other impacts: Rev. Milton Brunson, Douglas Miller, Danniebelle Hall, Daryl Coley, The Winans, etc. Lady Tramaine has a gift. You notice that NO ONE can replicate her voice. (God-Given) God Bless You!
Tramaine is so sweet in spirit. It really shows. The thing about technology is that in 75 we didn't have pitch correct and quantizing or gadgets to make you sound superb. It was press record and go. Tramaine still sings the same with the same anointing as well as the other family members. We might see a clip of them singing on a bad vocal day and who cares because we know what they can do vocally with proper rest and such. But most of all the anointing makes the difference.
When God gives a gift, He never takes it back. This Woman is truly G I F T E D!!!! Still sound the same, that's the G O D in her!!! Job well done as always Tramaine.
How things have changed. I wonder if there any artist in Gospel that would impact the world as Walter Hawkins does, over 30 years later. It's not about who's better than who but we are so awed by with Walter's passing because of the unique anointing he was drenched in. He had a way of saying the right words with the right music and My God...his voice grabs your attention.
No I don't think so its to worldly now I've been a fan for many many years and when you make music that moves the heart instead of the butt then you have the difference.....rest in peace Walter....I miss him dearly but thank you Jesus I still have my Tremaine ❤❤❤🙏🏿
Tramaine still soundin lovely and powerful, just like I remember her in the 80's on the radio stations as much as the other Hawkins Family members. Rest in peace Walter Hawkins and we miss you!
"The music is everlasting". Bishop explained Jesus Christ in a way that no other minister has done for me. He was able to simplify the relationship and love Jesus has for us in a way that makes a believer want to please God and not bring any dishonor to God. Even though we struggle Jesus yet loves us because, He is that kind of friend!
Oh my God!! I can just feel this, as I always do when the Hawkins Family sing for the Lord. You don;t see this anywhere...not even in Hollywood. What divorced couple comes out time after time in the public and just present "flawless" perfomances every time you see them. That, alone, has always amazed me; however, it should not surprise me because when God is in charge of it all....all we can do is "go with the flow". The chemistry between Bishop Walter Hawkins and her--from "The Potter".
I'm in my early thirties and when this song came out I was just a kid but I do remember how back then it seemed that the voices in Gospel were so few but it wasn't like we were hurting for more. The Hawkins, James Cleveland, The Clark Sisters, Andrae Crouch, Keith Pringle, Vanessa Bell Armstrong just to name a few were our heroes.
i'm sort of confused a little maybe someone can inlighten me; i was thinking tramaine was one of his sisters; but what was her relationship to walter; is she his cousin or what?
To understand that Walter at 10 met Tramaine 7 at her grandfather's church. Tramaine would go on to join the choir at 17 at the recording of Oh Happy Day. They married and two children from union. They were friends before they were lovers. After the marriage dissolution, Tramaine remained supportive of Walter and his ministry. Seeing this tribute shows how a lifetime bond ❤ is possible 🎆

@mike19621000 Walter and Tramaine were married. They have two children together Walter Jr (Jaime) and Trystan.
What in the world is the pianist playing. My mom would have stopped and told them to stop playing. And start back singing.
@mrprofessor1984 Walter and tramaine have been divorced for years
