  • Little update to show a typical day! My evening activities got shifted around but I'm happy I fit the rest in! The day after I filmed this, 3 more horses got added to the routine (yearlings for in-hand) and then 2 more days later, another mustang (not mine)! I'm up to 15 right now...but the numbers will change come April so I can focus on my mustangs more! Happy to share with you all. I'd love to share more random training horse videos too soon! My fall was on the 7th and was pretty rough, still working on some physical and mental things from it since it wasn't a 'typical' fall but I'm feeling a lot better!

    For whatever reason, your videos help me stay more motivated and on-point even though I haven't had a horse for over 20 years. :-) Thanks for taking your time to do these.

    Sam, you are really developing into a very disciplined and health conscious young woman! Very hard to do but such a great example to all of us:) You work so hard and your success is all due to that. No one is handing you anything. I feel so lucky to have found your RUclips channel. I wish you continued success and am tuned in to watch!!

    I so love pixel, she has such personality..it seems to me that mustangs always seem to have that cute quirky personalitys where they are kinda " goofy' ..( complement ) i love the ones that have a fun personaliy..is it because they are " clean slates?" They haven had a chance to have learned bad habits, or that they are different than babies borrn to tame mares.? They kinda get spoiled , and arent " clean slates? Ive never had a mustang, but..i just wondered if they all are ' quirky' ( complement , i love big personality that can be " goofy" like my dog, ges mali/ boxador..he is so smart but silly..hes 75 + lbs thinks he has to shower with me, tries to sit on the toilet, sits behind me puts his head on my shoulder to watch videos. But lnfai has learned to get his dish and bang on the floor, or he gets dry kibble and tries to put it in my mouth when im sleeping..( i do overnight shifts..he gets fed , i go to sleep on the couch..next thing i know, hes trying to put his kibble in my mouth..but..i wouldent change ut for the world..my other dog..he has no personality..lol hes a cane corso..the stong silent type..silas plays ball ir a rope, dude, is trying to play with an empty milk jug , throwing it in the air..lol my tb used to flop his tounge at the trough like a goof , get a mouthful of water walk around with it, then open his mouth on your back..my qh she was normal.. and kinda boring. Lol😅

    So excited to see you again! You never fail to keep me enthralled. I just ordered my 1st box of Oats Overnight thanks to you. I hope they are all that. 🙂 ...Consider a large brim hat and gloves...and definitely a "night latch" on a western saddle at least. I use a thick piece of leather or rope even, but they are not stiff and can twist on ya, trapping your hand if you're exiting in an uncommon uncontrolled manner = not good, kinda like getting hung up on a bull ride.

    Hi! I really hope you see this.
    I know it's probably a personal question but how much money do you make? I'm planning on being a horse trainer and doing similar stuff that you do; I was just wondering if you would share that because I'm seriously thinking about this being my whole career. I'm 14 and already working and training horses in collaboration with a horse rescue next door and I love it!
    Thank you!

    If you want to sit straighter riding....try tossing a small/ medium (whatever fits your hand best) rock up in the air and catching it while you ride! At a walk....trot.....and lope....not easy, but you put yourself in the correct position! Try it.....make a comment of what you think after you try it!! If you want to walk standing straighter....walk with a book on you head. But wait til you feel up to it!!

      I feel like I’d accidentally hit my horse with the rock 😂

    • @donnac.1609
      @donnac.1609 6 месяцев назад

      @edenh6268 I used to do this. You just toss it lightly up and catch...not a rock big enough to do harm to horse or rider!! It is surprising just how quickly the rider learns to do it! All my 4H club could do it!!
