    Schools also take a recruit with their parents and walk them into a dark arena. Suddenly the lights turn on and the scoreboard erupts with the player and their name scoring a game winning goal. In one case a local school here projected an image of the the recruit 45 feet tall running across the floor and scoring a goal with the sound system blasting applause.

    NFL locker rooms don’t even come close to college ones. The reason is simple. They use all the money to acquire and keep the best roster they can. Colleges cannot directly pay players even now.

    Here's the thing man, I know you made the point about Manchester United not having facilities this nice, but no NFL teams have as nice a facility as most of the best College Football teams do. Some have pretty good facilities, but the top-tier CFB teams facilities blow away NFL teams and it's not close.

      @@BritishGuy22 Not when you think about the economics of it all. CFB players aren't paid by the programs, so the ones that have the most money, it has to go somewhere. NFL Teams pay their players, so they get less luxuries at work. They can buy their own for their homes.

    First in regards of the trophy the older trophy before the CFP trophy the crystal football will always be the best one. In terms of facilities I'll put it this way the blue bloods the solidified institutions of college football your bamas, your texas, USC, georgia, etc, etc will always be on par if not better than a NFL facility. For a variety of reasons, booster money, land space and the ability to constantly put back into the facility more frequent. The NFL facilities may not be as extravagent but the things that they have(trainers, nutrition, etc) could possibly be better. However any mid tier school their facilities aren't better than a NFL team

    So only 1% of high school players get D1 football and only like 5% of those would get recruited by a program like Georgia. So yeah, to see your picture in that locker room would be a big deal. In the future I imagine MLS to take on a more college football approach to recruiting. They will probably never pay as high as the big 5 leagues, but could build the best facilities and staff, especially now that they are getting their own academies. Image someday an Inter Miami (just for example purpose) having a wall of past academy plays that made first team, played in Champions league, World Cup, etc. Seems like the road has already been paved.

    public universities have to be non- profit, so they have to spend all of the profits they make. usually reinvesting most of it in their biggest profit maker(football). for most schools,but not all. private schools like ivy league schools are for profit schools so they dump most of it back into education and not sports thats why yale,harvard etc dont have competitive teams yet they are rich. princeton is probably the only ivy league school that reall tries to invest into sports.

    They can build these facilities on college campuses because for 100+ years, the NCAA and university administrators have exploited the athletes by not paying them. The administrators keep the billions of dollars generated by the players for their bank accounts. They use the rest to build these facilities and make the players and fans forget about the massive exploitation. That's the cold, hard truth.

    • @loganleroy8622
      @loganleroy8622 6 месяцев назад +3

      It’s not exploitation. They get everything provided for them and they get to spend 4-5 years playing the game they love while getting an education. The implementation of NIL has already shown the problem.

      ...Allow me to BUST some more truths into your head. That scholarship is worth .00001% of the billions of dollars "they" generate. Why don't the coaches and administrators accept just a scholarship and facilities? Why are they so special that they are paid millions of dollars directly into their bank accounts? Explain that to me, young man.
      ...Here's some more adult education for you. Those athletes will probably work for 35-40+ years after they graduate. They will not earn in all of those years combined what the coaches and administrators will earn right now in one year!....Allow that fact to BUST your brain open.

      @@areguapiri Hmm, it's almost as if the head coach of a team is more important than a single back up offensive tackle. The coaches manage far more, and are responsible for far more than a student-athlete is. A student-athlete is only responsible for himself, that coach is going to be in charge of and responsible for the performance of 150+ people. That school administrator, is responsible not only for the people in one sport, but every sport at that school, which involves literally thousands of people over the course of the year.
      Not only that, do you think there's anything stopping that college football player from later one-day becoming a coach or school administrator? No, there's not.
