- President John F. Kennedy stands behind a lectern before beginning his radio and television report to the American people on the state of the national economy. President John F. Kennedy points to a chart entitled “INDICATORS OF RECOVERY” during his radio and television report to the American people on the state of the national economy. Oval Office, White House, Washington, D.C.
In his speech President Kennedy discusses the increased gross national product, increased rate of production, decreased unemployment rate, and safeguards against inflation in the wake of the 1958 and 1960-1961 recessions. The President also proposes five directives to strengthen the economy: an investment tax credit, legislation to increase public works, legislation to provide youth employment opportunities, the renewal of unemployment compensation funds, and the enlargement of foreign markets.
God Bless You JFK ❤️🙏🇺🇸
How we need his wisdom and eloquence today !
The last Great President.
With due respect I disagree.
RIP JFK
J. F. K. was president of a United States that still had highly productive industry and when a robust America still made and manufactured goods.
We need this economy restored to us!
0:59 Interesting side note: This broadcast aired one month almost to the day prior to JFK's game-changing Moon Speech at Rice Stadium in Houston (September 12, 1962).
Blessings for RFK Jr., presidential campaign.
He was such an attractive man ♥️
That was what Annette Funicello thought as well. And the rest. Then Jackie shot him dead.
This was shortly after his GF Marylin Monroe died by alleged drug overdose of barbitchuates.
