Took us about 40mins late last night. Using as hot water as my daughter could tolerate to soften the gelatine, copious amounts of shampoo and gentle massage and combing, then conditioner. It sure felt like it took a lot longer, we were all so tired after comp and travel.
@@scorpianna420 it's purely for aesthetics. To stop the hair from falling out of the style, going across face etc. Swim hats are used for some events, but it's part of the costume for competition.
I think it might have a really interesting look if opaque pigments were added in, e.g., black, yellow, red, well… any color, I guess. Have to be a non-staining, powder pigment though, I think.
