Thanks for the comment. I'm not surprised this didn't work for a road (Corridor). I believe Boundaries only apply to the display of the Surface. Without knowing specifically what you are trying to accomplish, I can only guess at possible solutions. Although, to do this on a road, I assume you would have to modify the alignment, to remove the road in that area. A couple of other ideas come to mind, but I doubt they would help either. I'm sorry, but with my limited knowledge, I doubt I'm the best resource for this problem.

For roads, I'd use breaklines instead.
