    this pretty much firms up the process perspective; what is a 'human' is not viable without being enmeshed in a flow of bacteria and viruses, not to mention all the other ecological and social processes without which an 'individual' would cease to exist. we've gone philosophically over millennia from grasping at a metaphysics, to then being reduced to ponder a subjective philosophy of the self, and in our humility will finally realize we are just an entity awash in the flow of processes. that the essential framework/reality is not the thing of an individual, but the flow and energy of a dynamic, ever evolving process
