It's crazy how the animation still holds up till today. This is one of the shows that make me love studio BONES. They use to make really innovative original shows.
The only scene I never forgot was the one when the mother noticed her son/MC) left and kinda got an idea he might never come back so she goes out without shoes and sprinted as fast as possible on the hot pavement ignoring the pain to look for his son. it brakes me! a lot.. I don´t know why.
Damn, one of the best ones in the whole anime history. You more less get to know whole cast in 1 opening. One move, one glance, and you kinda get what type of character it is. Music also fits perfectly.

Man, where do I even begin with this masterpiece of an anime OP. so many good things to point out. 1. intentional use of character movement to sync up with song beats 2. the use of the rolling camera shot to introduce the chaotic monster 3. the use of panning cut to establish the next characters The editors/animators understood movement and camera shots so well, this is one of the best anime OP of all times. Masayuki Miyaji really perfected his craft with Eureka Seven.

The anime version is a lot better then the full version. Where its 2 min the leadsinger is just singing run away between the 1st and 2nd chorus wasting a lot of time. Here you get both at a faster phase after one another making the song better overall. No point in listening to the other version.

.. well, this is what i knew for 14 years ... since the show lunch on PS3 streaming service for $3.99 per chapter Nakiami : Yara, Wind Master (Nausicass original design) Yango : Chikuku (from Nausicass Manga) Haru : Kushana, and the Earth Dragon (Nausicass original design) Ishu : Lady Eboshi (Mononoke Hime) Midori : Nausicaa, Queen of the Ghouls (Nausicass original design) Yes, we have 3 original design of Nausicaa in the same show.. what could possibly go wrong ?
I honestly did enjoy the anime and wouldn't mind watching it again in the future. While the story appears to heavily focus on the characters, it does seem to put in some world development alongside some extra details to spice up the story. I would also like to mention that I enjoyed the designs like the structures and vehicles alike. If people are looking for something to watch simply to watch and not analyse, then Xam'd is a good choice. Not the best, but definitely a choice I recommend

アニメは勿論だけどOPが最高すぎる…。
ロゴが出るのも、雷魚がシャッターを切るのも、全部のタイミングが絶妙。
曲は「ブンブンサテライツ」で日本人です。当時ヨーロッパで活躍されていました。
ボーカルの方が脳腫瘍になってしまいました。たしか40くらいで、まだまだ、これから良作が出るだろうと思われていた矢先です。
このオープニングはイメージボードのようなもので伏線というか、キャラや世界の説明が含まれています。あとになってからから気がつく感じです。
オープニングで手紙が出てくるのは、この作品の基底に手紙（メッセージ）や郵便がテーマやモチーフであるからです。
当時、いろいろ批判がなされていました。こういった作品の監督（ジブリ出身だぉ）は作品を重ねるごとに良くなることが多いので次回作を期待していましたが、チャンスがあまりないようです。
新海、細田監督（ジブリ出身だょ）にしても、宮崎駿にしても当初から評価されていたわけではありません。
あと、出身であるジブリ臭さを昇華しきれないあたりに、逆に人間味を感じます。
川島君は40歳で脳腫瘍になったわけじゃなく、デビュー直後の1997年あたりに最初の摘出手術をしました。
そこからブンサテが活動終了するまで治療と再発を繰り返して、2016年に逝去しました。
病気と闘いながら生き抜いた、ほんとにかっこいい方でした。
