Hey Steve, I have never commented on line before, but I just wanted to say, that people watch your videos for YOU, not where, when, why, or what! YOU are, the the reason people come back/suscribe it doesn't matter what you do! your content with you , being genuine , is the compelling part!
I wholeheartedly agree. Sure, the camping stuff is cool, but RUclips is full of that. Reflecting on this, Camping with Steve is a bit of a slice of life for me, where I get to see how Steve overcomes struggles in life and pushes forward, with amazing humility and an incredible heart. Keep it going Steve, this channel has made a big difference for me in these trying times!
Indeed. We watch your channel for you, as you show us the other side, where we can relax, hunker down and just have some really good camping (and food) out in nature.

I share this to say I marvel at how fascinating, educating even, caring, …so many things that your videos are proving to be for me. I also enjoy learning more bits and seeing areas of Canada as I had hoped to have traveled A LOT More in beautiful Canada than I have. Thank you for all you do, and I am so glad I found the channel and subscribed. Very well done and you are a natural narrator, a documentarian . I'm going to be honest that I've not donated anything to the beer donation fund and have never felt pressured or peddled on them. But I feel that people who do would be just fine still donating to you Steve whether you use it for beer or equipment or even having a spare day off work to go out camping. Don't feel like you're asking people to donate at all if people couldn't they wouldn't 😁 loved the content for years buddy keep it up
I love the beer donation and the special messages people post! It makes it so communal and builds community. Please consider keeping it - no other RUclips channel does this. You rock, Steve!
Personally I like seeing the names of the beer donations. It keeps the channel simple, which is part of the appeal. Keep up the good work Steve. Thursdays are a tough day for me and I look forward to coming home and watching a CWS. it's therapeutic.
For my vote, keep the beer donations, let us participate in that vicarious way. And don't worry about episodes being edgy or fresh or new. We just enjoy you doing your thing. It doesn't even always need to be stealthy. Just low tech camping with Steve makes us very happy. Please, please, stop worrying about these things.
@@donsolo186 well that is true so true that it is low budget cause it is you just have to be clever about it and quiet and not a risk taker like Steve is about it and you can do some fun camping on the cheap for just the cost of some food and a few camping supply's
@@raven4k998 yep exactly, he finds a way to make it interesting either way. When I go camping I'm not looking to spend a fortune on all new stuff. Just looking for the adventure and easily made meal ideas like Steve does. I couldn't stealth camp alone like him bc I'm probably more paranoid and would need a buddy, but enjoy watching him do it.
This video encompasses why I love Steve. Fire code violations through the roof with his sausage cooking on a propane heater, coupled with step twos in a paw patrol chair. This is why I RUclips.
To be honest I didn’t chip in to see my name, I did to express my thanks for the joy you bring me and to invest (albeit in a very small way) in what you are doing at home and out on the road. I don’t think it would hurt your channel in the slightest not to have the shout outs but I think people greatly enjoy supporting this kind of content!
I actually find your beer donation style charming - I think you should keep it. This was a great episode - down right impressive to me that anyone can camp at those temperatures! Very cool camping experience - and pretty ambitious to spend that much time in such a small shelter! Great video! 👍
With all the madness is the world, Steve is a welcome distraction - no politics, no hatred…. Just focusing on getting through the night safely without being seen. Simple, elegant, fascinating.
I think distractions are partially why we have such a corrupt inept government. People have been using sports center, celebrities, and dodo animal videos to drawn out what's "scary" to them.

turn off your tv, it won't do anything for you but Fear factory 24/7 for last 3 years. The sooner you turn it off, the happier you will be. Promise. Cut off social media, and just enjoy your life. Trust.
Listen to John Prine, "Spanish Pipedream". Turn off the TV, throw away the paper, find you a home. Plant a little garden, grow a lotta peaches, try to find Jesus on your own.
Agree with everyone else here Steve! One of the best parts of our collective week is to get off social media, turn off the depressing news and “hunker down” with you instead. It’s just the type of respite we all need. The beer donations are just a way of showing appreciation for letting us come along for the ride each week 👍👏✌️
Steve!! The beer donations are so unique, I love seeing everyone’s names on the screen. There is an old-school feel to it which I also love. If we have to wait and there ends up being a TON of beer donations for some videos - so be it it’s no big deal! Most of your viewers like and prefer this way more 👍🏽
@anita miller I can understand that, but people should also understand that just because there are lots of names it doesn't necessarily mean Steve is getting a ton of money from it. I've donated really small amounts before.
Hey Steve, I don't know if you still read the comments or not, but I really wanted to thank you for doing what you do. I know, when you started this channel, you didn't expect it to have such a substantial impact on people, but it's really become something quite special to me & a lot of other people. These videos are like therapy. Whenever I've had a bad day, can't sleep, or am struggling, your videos always help to calm me & put my mind at ease. Also, my girlfriend recently started watching them with me as well. ☺
This is exactly what a Camping with Steve video should be. Not what people are "looking for" but what Steve does in an odd situation. I caught you at the (camping while going to school) stuff and they remain my favorite.
I almost forgot it was Thursday! Thank you so much for making this video and taking us away from all the choas in the world for 40 minutes. I know many of us appreciate it. Stay safe and good luck with the house sir and Dont forget to take some time for yourself (and beautiful wife) to recharge a bit!
This was definitely not boring. These are my favorite type of your videos. Stealth camp in freezing weather cooking eating chilling. This is my favorite
Don't do away with your beer donations, Steve. It's the way we show our appreciation for you and all that you do. Also, I think people like seeing their names roll on the screen.
Steve, whatever you decide you definitely deserve to be paid for what you do. You provide quality entertainment for us and many of us would be happy to support that financially on a regular basis. Glad to see a two night this week. Stay safe and hunker down.
In a world that's going increasingly crazy (in a bad way), your videos bring a little bit of fun, a zany sort of good crazy to help us counter all the negatives that keep filling the news. I can't thank you enough for that. I do admit to finding the stealth camping episodes a bit more stressful than the other types, just because I always end up worrying about what would happen if you got caught. If you ever find that you need to cut back on the stealth, I would still be perfectly content with regular camping, traveling, rafting and whatever other adventures come your way both alone and with Beautiful Wife and/or Crazy Neighbor. It's all good. As for the Beer Donation, it's your decision. Doing it the way you are might be more work and/or pressure than Patreon (spelling?), or it might not. Which method you can handle is up to you. But please don't think that you don't deserve the support. You spend time, energy, money and resources doing what you do, and sharing it with us so we can enjoy your experiences. This is so important to so many people that the Beer Donation did develop just by people reaching out to you. I wish that I was still in a position to donate myself, because you're one of the few people that I would reach out to in gratitude. Being in the public eye means that no matter what you do, or don't do, or change, or keep the same, there's always going to be a few who object. But I firmly believe that there are many of us who will support whatever direction(s) you go. Stay safe, hunker down and just be yourself... we'll be happy.
Another great video Steve!! Even with the technical problems...the light thing made me chuckle. You really shouldn't feel like a pan handler. You do a lot of hard work making these videos. You put yourself out there and your honesty makes the videos worth watching to the end. I hope it wasn't too much of a pain cleaning up the rental car's back seat. You truly are a AWESOME distraction from reality these days. Thanks so much!!
😂 I consider NOTHING a technical problem w Steve, after the “Bubble Wrap” shelter that instantly blew away! He always manages to troop through.... even when he has to collect his tent in pieces as it turns into litter. Joking aside, I agree w you. I’m happy he got heat, though. It not worth risking it in those temps!
These videos are so calming I love them. As someone with severe insomnia they've actually helped me feel comfortable enough to sleep. Not to mention the quality. Big contrast to the other channels that are 50% intro and filler and littered with promos. Love it, keep up the awesome content Steve.
I love the camping vids but even the ones where you're just updating us about the weather or the acreage or what's going on atm. Seeing your videos is like catching up with a good friend - you're so real and that's very much appreciated! P.S. I love seeing the list of beer donations :)
I always admire those little pockets of wilderness we have even in big cities here in Canada. Camping in one seems right somehow. Thank you for the video.
Sits in the Paw Patrol chair and is pleasantly surprised, then sitting there staring into the camera, "Oh the joys of stealth camping, a little bored after sitting here for hours trying not to be seen." I almost cried from laughing so hard. Thanks Steve. Reminds me of playing hooky from school (Skipping school) for the first time with a friend. We sat on the roof of the boy scouts building by a very busy road all day, it was about 8 hours of sitting there trying not to be seen, while being thirsty, hungry, and just a tad bit bored lol.
Missed your posts ever so much! Your adventures truely cheer a sad soul! It reminds that taking initiatives to do things ridiculously fun, but terrifically uncertain, is a special gift to oneself for the audacity of it all, and to us in being a party of it too! Thank you also for doing a two day stint, something I commented on once. You really do read these posts, don't you! It's truely audacious to have the tent out and up for two nights running!!!! The child's chair was a great comedy relief.LOL What ever you decide on the matter of patronage is truely your choice. Sadly the matter of ordering a $24.00 order of garden seeds for my garden is the best I can afford right now. But I could share some with you if you'd like! Thank you again for you being the concerned and attentive RUclips video provider!
Steve you are a legend man. Such a genuine human being, half of the reason i stop watching most of my favorite channels is because every single one of them sells out. Thank you Steve for not being a sell out kind of guy. That down to earth feel is why i’ve watched every video on your channel, even the old videos of you whipping it up in the kitchen. What im trying to say here is we watch for you and your sense of humor, its your personality that keeps the viewers watching not simply what you are doing.
I'm glad that you're testing out these activities. God help those that have no choice but to do what you're doing. No one plans to be forced to try this, but it's good to know how if circumstances give no other choice.

You are the GOAT of Stealth Camping, Steve. I would have given up when I heard -30. YOU, went back out to get another heater. Thank you for always giving 110%. CHEERS, Steve.
"I hope this gave you a break from the news for a half hour or so" ....... literally the reason I'm watching this to keep myself from over dwelling on the potential global war... I love this channel. The content is so compelling I am drawn in and feel like I am there. I can almost feel the cold, the warmth and relief of the campfire, the enjoyment of nature.
Hey Steve! love the content. I watch every week. I do a lot of solo camping myself, and your videos on my phone are one of my favourite comforts out there on my own. I highly recommend the cheapest single layer Steel water bottle you can find. Fill that bad boy up on the heater before bed, or on a fire/stove, and wrap it up in something. Cram that bundle between your legs as you sleep and it's the nicest coziest personal heater for the whole night.

May the best come your way to you and yours Mr Wallis.
I doubt that will happen over the current Ukraine mess, as none of the players in the game are THAT suicidal. But yeah, that's going to be humanity's end because we still haven't learned to abandon and shun the stupid and evil among us, letting them become victims of their own selves instead of us becoming their victims.
You deserve to get paid, Steve. Maybe it feels hard to believe since you're just doing something you enjoy, but it's true. We're conditioned to think that only stuff that sucks to do yields money, so if it doesn't suck we haven't really earned it or something. But you put out a quality product that people love, so I don't think you need to feel weird about it.

I disagree with the last part of your comment. I think the voices of those who LOVE Steve is far louder than that of the naysayers!
@@debkski6084 Absolutely! There are 800k of us that appreciate Steve and would miss him if he stopped posting videos.
agreed! Steve you've been doing it this way since forever! I am going to miss seeing the name scroll at the end of some vids.
I'm going to be honest that I've not donated anything to the beer donation fund and have never felt pressured or peddled on them. But I feel that people who do would be just fine still donating to you Steve whether you use it for beer or equipment or even having a spare day off work to go out camping. Don't feel like you're asking people to donate at all if people couldn't they wouldn't 😁 loved the content for years buddy keep it up
Had a rubbish week, just sat down and opened RUclips, saw this, 39mins of joy. Love you Steve ❤️
May your upcoming week make up for this bad one. Gotta love Steve, a far better cure for bad weeks than seeing a Therapist!
This man is the only man prepared for the future housing market. Well done Steve!
There is something strangely therapeutic about your videos Steve. I love watching them.
Part of it is his voice. Love it
Bob Ross of camping
I see similar comments on every video and I agree. He's doing something special over here
Have to agree, very calming
absolutely agree
The little smile when you say, "It smells fantastic" is giving me all the serotonin. Just has such a wholesome vibe
For my vote, keep the beer donations, let us participate in that vicarious way. And don't worry about episodes being edgy or fresh or new. We just enjoy you doing your thing. It doesn't even always need to be stealthy. Just low tech camping with Steve makes us very happy. Please, please, stop worrying about these things.
that didn't go as hoped🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love the beer donation shout outs. Please keep them.
The reason I started watching was the stealth camping, but the reason I keep watching is the low budget that's affordable for almost anyone.
LOL
To be honest I didn’t chip in to see my name, I did to express my thanks for the joy you bring me and to invest (albeit in a very small way) in what you are doing at home and out on the road. I don’t think it would hurt your channel in the slightest not to have the shout outs but I think people greatly enjoy supporting this kind of content!
This is my favourite channel on RUclips , never change Steve.
I actually find your beer donation style charming - I think you should keep it. This was a great episode - down right impressive to me that anyone can camp at those temperatures! Very cool camping experience - and pretty ambitious to spend that much time in such a small shelter! Great video! 👍
Agreed!
With all the madness is the world, Steve is a welcome distraction - no politics, no hatred…. Just focusing on getting through the night safely without being seen. Simple, elegant, fascinating.
Yup his invasions are welcomed
@@harryfritter8266 I live in Europe and as you know the madness over here is just starting
You are absolutely correct.
I think distractions are partially why we have such a corrupt inept government. People have been using sports center, celebrities, and dodo animal videos to drawn out what's "scary" to them.
@@harryfritter8266 friendly people? lol have you visited Connecticut? Majority of the people here are ready to rip you a new one for the slightest mistake or inconvenience you bring to their life. I'd agree with you for the Northern states like Vermont and Maine.
The moment has come!
We've reached Friday Eve.
So grab a step 2
Cause we're camping with Steve!
@@EdgeOfNowhere2024 I think he means eve before Friday, like Christmas :)
It’s more important that we see you enjoying yourself than anything else. If you’re interested, it makes your viewership interested

you would be to if you tried doing what steve is doing🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@raven4k998 The dude is literally camping. the worst thing that could happen to him is that he is asked to pack up and move along. Watching the news for the last 16hours has been so miserable and depressing, hearing and seeing you brought me so much happiness. Thank you Steve!
Don't watch it. I don't.
Why would you watch something if it makes you miserable..
turn off your tv, it won't do anything for you but Fear factory 24/7 for last 3 years.
Most of your viewers like and prefer this way more 👍🏽
Same. I love em. Please keep em
@anita miller I can understand that, but people should also understand that just because there are lots of names it doesn't necessarily mean Steve is getting a ton of money from it. I've donated really small amounts before.
@anita miller Agreed!
I'd rather donate, then have sponsors 💯💯💯
I noticed when Mav made it big he took away his PayPal link. But he has sponsored videos.
So few genuine channels like this where the person is just themselves. I love it
Hey Steve, I don't know if you still read the comments or not, but I really wanted to thank you for doing what you do. ☺
100% right! Couldn’t have said it better
Plus going back and watching them!
Aman brought a smile on my face when I finally settle down and saw Steve's post and say oh it's Thursday☺
ABSOLUTELY!!
@phil veburst Awww! Don't be that way. A beer donation is voluntary. If it's not in your heart to give, don't. 🤷🏾♀️
@phil veburst are you okay?
@phil veburst "I couls do better.... "
That's nice honey now go clean your room
You give us such a great experience, Steve. If you're having fun, we're not bored--we (this fan anyways) are here for your joyful presence!
That time-lapse of the tent frosting at night when you were sleeping was awesome!
The video was far from boring, it’s actually quite relaxing. Thank you for your videos 😊
@@natalierozean5989 I loved that bubble wrap episode, it was hilarious 🤣 and he stayed so calm in that situation 🤣
These videos are so calming I love them.
As someone with severe insomnia they've actually helped me feel comfortable enough to sleep.
Not to mention the quality. Big contrast to the other channels that are 50% intro and filler and littered with promos. Love it, keep up the awesome content Steve.
Steve you have nearly a million subs doing what your doing.
If it's not broken don't fix it!
Love the channel.
Hey Steve, going through some hard times right now and you're videos really make a difference. Thanks for everything!
Same here, 👵
Sits in the Paw Patrol chair and is pleasantly surprised, then sitting there staring into the camera, "Oh the joys of stealth camping, a little bored after sitting here for hours trying not to be seen." I almost cried from laughing so hard.
That was honestly great. I laughed.
Also, the paw patrol chair was so ridiculously small :)
You are NOT panhandling, my good man!! You never said we had to give you anything!! We love your videos so much!!!!
When he bought the new heater at Canadian Tire, he should have bought a full size lawn chair and a cot which would have helped him out immensely.
Steve, absolutely keep the beer donations format. It makes people feel good to support what your doing and this format works.
Nothing better than watching someone enjoy the simpler things in life👍🍺
Really? Nothing? How about you enjoying the simpler things in life, yourself? Wouldn't that be better?
Steve you are a legend man. Such a genuine human being, half of the reason i stop watching most of my favorite channels is because every single one of them sells out. Thank you Steve for not being a sell out kind of guy. That down to earth feel is why i’ve watched every video on your channel, even the old videos of you whipping it up in the kitchen. What im trying to say here is we watch for you and your sense of humor, its your personality that keeps the viewers watching not simply what you are doing.
Exactly why I stopped watching Joe Robinet
I'm glad that you're testing out these activities. God help those that have no choice but to do what you're doing. No one plans to be forced to try this, but it's good to know how if circumstances give no other choice.
Without RUclips income Steve would not be able to do this.
Boring? This is the most amazing channel i managed to find this year. Seeing you enjoy the simpler things in life is a great twist.
Just want to thank Steve for loving his fans.He puts it all on the line to keep us happy and gives us something week after week.I tell everybody about Steve and appreciate you and all you do for us fans.He could be doing so much more with his time yet week after week he gives us a new show.Thank You Steve 🤘❤🤘
I love that Steve is trying to be as stealthy as possible but his car beeps when he locks it, announcing his arrival to the neighbourhood.
With some cars you can turn the "horn with locking" function off. Search those menus!
Dude, it’s literally parked right there with footprints making a trail to his spot. Anyone stopping by at night would probably be checking that he’s ok in the weather. It’s all good, though. THANK YOU for the diversion from the news! And if you ever feel that the camping is too boring by itself, then just tell us a story! We always enjoy your humor and hearing about your past adventures as much as we enjoy going with you on your current ones.
Yes! Steve, please just tell us stories if you feel so inclined. Even the way you almost did tonight when reminiscing about "simpler times", I was hoping you'd go on more. I'm sure a lot of us can relate and it's just comforting to hear your take on things, the comments you make, your concern for leaving things clean...

If the beer donations have been there from the start of this trip then I think they should stay, it's like a little part of the history of your channel and it's sort of comforting to know the origins and that it's still there. Feels down to earth to me.
the fact that you were camping in extreme cold and the whole time you're just like "yup i'm bored" means you're really good at cold weather camping.

Hey Steve! love the content.
