Where has all of the good quality Christian music gone to? Watching this video makes me miss groups like 4Him and so many others all the more... I remember a time when 4Him, Point of Grace, Phillips, Craig, and Dean all were atop the Christian music genre. I do like and enjoy much of the Christian music out there today, but there was something special about groups like 4Him and the likes.
johnnylaw97 97-2003 was the golden age of Christian music. dont forget dc talk and audio adrenaline, the original newsboys and the list goes on and on. there seemed b be a new hit from a number of groups on a weekly basis now they play stuff from 2 yrs ago. The music just isn't the same as during that time
Old comment, but I'll reply in case you're still looking for the answer. The Christian music labels were bought out and consolidated by secular interests in the early 2000's. In the process, many innovative and talented artists lost their contracts, resulting in a loss of promotion. Bryan Duncan and David Meece are among these. Some have continued their careers through direct contact with their fans. Duncan in particular has crowdfunded at least one album, resulting in the excellent "Conversations" album, which I view as one of his very best. Thus, we have homogenized, uninspired music, with every relevant artist producing at least one recording of 'Open the Eyes of My Heart' or whatever the flavor of the day song happens to be.
@@snipe757 Well that certainly makes sense as to why many artists who were on a roll suddenly became invisible. It's a shame because that time frame from 97-03 produced some amazing music
John Reed I grew up through the 80’s and 90’s , this group is one of my most favorite ones, Petra, Whiteheart, Mylon and broken-heart, Bryan Duncan, Geoff Moore and the distance, Carman, DC Talk, Stephen Curtis Chapman, Newsboys. The list could go on, but yeah those were the greats at least for a young teen as I was. The songs had solid Christian theology in the music, I think David crowder would fit in nicely with those, I remember Carman saying that if he ever crossed over into mainstream music, he’d bring the message of the Cross with him.
I have seen 4 Him in concert at least 4 times and every single time was special. Their performances were always perfect yet touching and inspirational. What exceptional voices. I do miss them.
One of my dearest friends died today... and in the midst of the pain and the questions I want to fear the Lord and not blaspheme, after all He gives life and He takes it away...
Feel chills when l hear this song!)😅😊🎉
You can't go wrong singing directly from the scriptures. 4Him in 2020!
I know that’s right I just said that in kitchen
I've had the privilege of seeing them sing in person
My wife and I saw them back in the 90’s also

The message of the Gospel , not watered down.
this has to be the best harmony you will ever hear in music
Right about that. I learned singing from this group.
@@jonathanlego4930 I did too! Many days going to work listening to them and singing along. I learned how to adjust pitch and the likes lol
I found it!!! I couldn’t remember the name of the song, but I remembered the band name.
This song speaks to my soul so much.
Sounds as good today as they did in the 1990's. I'm glad we don't have to search for the praise to Elohim in these songs. Amen!!
What true words & incredible harmony
One of MY all time forever, and ever amen, favorites! Truly speaks to the soul of all common men and women.

I discovered these guys on radio 3 years ago. They were a great band! I miss them. I particularly love this song
Those harmonies! They don’t make Christian music like they used to! 4him was and always will be the greatest CCM band. ♥️
