Yes! American made drones. I work for a 3D printing company. You can print all plastic parts and many metal parts in a very short time. I have a friend who works for a company that will produce custom circuit boards and even solder all the components for you. Manufacturing is here in the US in new innovative ways. You don't need to invest in a full scale manufacturing facility. There's a lot of possibilities here in the US. I would like to see quieter moters and props. If people don't hear you flying, they won't complain or bother you. Great show! Maybe expand on this show and do it every quarter. Have guests on.
24hr security drones = Replace security guards, cameras, can monitor building, parking lot condition, etc. Just need a tether system and a plug into buildings main power system. Then have one or two that are not tethered an can roam more freely. Bad weather would be a snag but we are pilots an we know how to actually read the forecast the airline pilots get so we could have a contingency in place.
I would like remote ID to be able to tell me If there are other drones in the area. flying the DJI Mini 2 it is almost impossible to keep it within VLS because it is so small and quiet
Drone that can switch to a different system when it loses gps, like indoors or under canopy. Trimble has a system that continues for up to five minutes after going under canopy. Inertial systems have been around for quite a while, decades. I understand skydio is using cameras and a processing engine but I really don’t think that’s necessary or the most efficient way.
Speaking of batteries and Tesla, Elon has gone with LFP batteries going forward. They are lighter, last longer and are safer. On our autonomous USV we use 100ah and 2x 20ah LFP's. Very expensive but worth it. China has the patent for LFP's until 2022. There's a story that came out this week about a proposed lithium mine in Nevada but part is on sacred Native American grounds. LFP will be a standard battery in the next year's to come.
Dear drone nerds, what kinds of technical innovations would you like to see in drones? Drone nerd #1: I know a guy who built a perpetual motion machine for the DOD so planes can fly forever, maybe you could violate the second law of thermodynamics like he did and apply it to drones? Drone nerd #2: Have you ever heard of The Borg?

i would like to know more about course training you talked about it

We need Palmer Lucky to make drones for hobbyists
FlGHT TIME; batteries, CONNECTION; 4g/5g lte or being able to change channels during flight like dji, satellite neurolink connection..
Being able to make drones in the USA using more then 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz..like 1800, 1600, etc
Would like to approach this subject with lets say what is feasible in the next 18 months ? ?

Just invested in PFT - 10x longer flight times on a hybrid powertrain
Love our Tesla and DJI fleet :)
Never buy anTesla? Guess you’ll never have the best

Won't buy a Tesla yet flies a china built drone? I would trust Musk over DJI anyday. But I can't say much bc I love my DJI drone.
We shouldn't trust DJI or Elon. Elon is pretty likeable though
