- Season 1, Episode 1 of the PC game known as Starsky & Hutch.
I stopped shooting and spent a little extra time fooling around with this episode, as I wanted to show more of what happens if the chase continues.
A few things about this game: the paths the crooks take change randomly at times, the police is useless, you get points for hitting and shooting inanimate objects and the enemy, lose points for hitting walls, other cars or driving too close to people. You lose when the Viewer Rating hits 0. The power ups are explained in the video. There are 3 seasons with 6 episodes each, and each season has a different storyline.
The entire game is just driving and shooting. There is no multiplayer. There is a freeroam feature. You can unlock a couple of dozen new cars to drive by beating the episodes.
I don't know how did you guys got this game, but I got it in a cereal pack, most worth buy ever, I still remember me and my friend playing this while one was shooting and the other driving, good ol' times

Me 2, just because i was too young, I can't even finish the first mission of Driver 1. Until now, i'm still thinking that Driver San Francisco is much easier than the very first one :')
Jorin Walker Driver 1999 was more harder than Driver SF yea, i prefer Driver 1 a lot more though. I remember getting stuck in the parking lot mission where you have to do the list of things you need to do in the car, like slalom, 180, laps.
It became easier right after I understood English better. My first language isn't English.
I managed to beat the game at 7 years old. But it took me 100 hours. Fuck that meat factory mission.

Yeah the characters mouths don't even move and their fingers are glued together, this definitely a 2000's game xD.
I'm glad i played this game as a kid, i think it came on a Golden Grahams cereal box but i don't remember much since i got it in 2005. It's been 17 years, i feel old lol.

Man, this brings back memories, and the graphics are just how I remember! It must've been close to 15 years ago... I was on holiday for New Year and my uncle brought his laptop with a demo game disc, so I spent hours playing this and Rollercoaster Tycoon 3. Simpler times!

'There is no multiplayer.' Technically incorrect. While there is no splitscreen or dedicated multiplayer mode, you can play the game with two players, where player one drives and player two aims and fires the gun
if this game had a "Episode-creator"(like DYOM in gtasa) it would be one the best games ever

I didn't even remember to consider the quality aspect, but yeah, PC games will look better because I record them with fullscreen so it's a larger screen rendered smaller, making it sharper.
PS2 games, though, will look like crap as long as I'm using Dazzle.
I don't believe I've ever played this game before, yet it feels like I've played this game a billion times in my childhood. Its psyching me out.

This game REALLY needs to be rebooted. I can see this game as kind of a L.A. Noire/Grand Theft Auto open world game. You do different cases for each level, go on high speed chases, get in intense shootouts, you need to use detective skills and intellect to interrogate suspects and witnesses and maybe even get to go undercover for certain missions. And of course gotta have a David Soul, Paul Michael Glaser and Antonio Fargas appearance.
Up until a few months ago I was still playing this game on my PS2. When I bought it I wasn't expecting too much and was pleasantly surprised by how much fun it was, admittedly I did find some of the later missions to be quite tricky. 😄

It's funny that when this game appeared we all thought that the graphics are so real and we believed so hard in that, but looking now, 15 years later , it just looks like an old game, a game with a special place in our hearts who played it, i guess we're all adults now if we know about this game

This version is a big improvement of the GBA version of Starsky and Hutch; the DS or PSP should have received a version of this video game instead of the GBA (even though I enjoy playing the GBA).

I swear the blue car's model from Starsky and Hutch was in Driver Parallel Lines, I remember that damage model almost being identical in both games.

I remember when I owned the demo for this game on the PS2 (just this mission) and at 2:30 there was a massive hole in the road leading into blue hell (the road had just vanished) and the blue car fell into it and was gone.

Multiplayer was available (on the PS2 atleast) by having a second controller.
also, you could use a steering wheel and guncon (not sure?) where 1 player shoots the other drives.
Had it for PS2... how nostalgic!
