I was gonna make my own comment, bu this sums it up. Learning how to drive manual is a process itself, but a vette? Much less a 600whp vette? It only get's easier from here.
@@warmongerism You are completely wrong. Manuals with less torque are much more difficult to drive because they stall a lot more easily, so balancing the clutch and throttle is a lot more difficult. Cars with plenty of torque are a lot more forgiving. Someone who learnt manual in a muscle car and then tries to drive a 1.4 litre econobox will stall every time like a noob.
the first thing I had to learn in my first manual car was when coming out of first gear you don't have to release the clutch all the way to start moving. One thing I did was rush off the clutch and it jerks around. in my head the clutch is like a second throttle and the less it pushed in the faster you can go
Hold down for 4 seconds after you turn trac off. It then turns stability control off and you'll spin for days.

Im 17 and I learned manual in a 1000hp 2016 5.0 mustang and it was a very fun experience, now I have a 1999 Porsche Boxter S that I rebuilt its a 6 speed manual
The easiest way to learn how to drive a manual car worked wonders for me and that was to find the biting point of the clutch, add a little gas, release a little more and once you feel the clutch is no longer slipping, you fully let go of the pedal
I appreciate this video so much. It’s crazy how you can know how to drive stick. But still need to learn how to drive stick. When getting a new car. Upgrading your own car. But it’s so true. You gotta learn HOW to drive each car. What each car likes. So when I see someone bumping along in front of me, or hear them riding the clutch a bit, I just assume their still learning a new car. I was 4 years into driving my current car and it was raining. So my shoe has a bit of water on it. And my foot slipped off the clutch and it got a bit bumpy. Everyone was looking at me like it was my first time. In reality. My foot just wasn’t center and it slipped off.
And he is back🎉 But remember the computer could always just shift for you. Ifykyk😂 I also just went and looked at a car I might be buying and its also could be my first manual so this video is also helpful.
Find bite first, see the torq of car and where the rpm sits at second . If the torq is high normally in diesels you can move off smoothly without gas then foot off clutch with matching with the gas . If low torq you need to apply gas at bite and as you slowly let go of clutch you need to give gas, the faster you give gas the faster you can move off the clutch. When the car jolts the rpm is too low for that gear and when it stalls way too low rpm and engine can’t run anymore.
Honestly pretty good brother I’m 15 right now but my dad has a Manuel GTI and I started when I was 14 and literally couldn’t figure out letting off the clutch to fast and dropping rpm’s to much but I just kept trying and now I can almost perfect shifting and starting which is the hardest. But keep trying and you’ll get there
Njce brother im 13 and from the age of 4 i started with my grandpa driving by only using steering wheel then i went on the age of 9 by driving with shifter and wheel and by the age of 10 i learned how to fully drive a car and now in my village i take it for some drives with my grandpa
@MrFrost-xh6rf: C6 Z06 is a special car with a special engine. Sounds like this kid has the money to deal with dropping a valve, in which case he can buy a built, replacement engine from Texas Speed or Katech, or even buy a short block and performance heads and have some content building those. Plus he’s talking boost, so if he blows this LS7, he can get an LS3 and boost that since they take boost better. Lots of options.
IM 13 AND BOUGHT A FOXBODY MUSTANG AND NEVER DROVE A MANUAL AND GOT IN IT AND DROVE LIKE IT WAS NOTHING. WHY IS IT SO HARD FOR YOU NOOBS TO DRIVE LIKE THAT IM 13 AND CAN DRIFT VERY WELL AND SHIFT LIKE IVE BEEN DRIVING FOR 30 YEARS
gotta consider 99% of peoples first manual car isn’t a rwd 600hp FBO stage 3 clutch bald eagle machine. so props for diving right in the deep end!
Go big or go home!

Mine is 😭😭😭
It's actually much easier to learn with a car with plenty of torque because they don't stall nearly as easily.

I like this new format of video! The new intro style thing was really nice. You’ll be huge in the future man 👍👍

I learned manual in a 2003 corvette z06. Love the car.
do you mean 2002? because i thought the zo6 was only produced in the 2002 model
If that’s what I think it is than john has great taste in watches 🤝🏾
Watches are his thing

I need to learn how to downshift in my Dark Horse. I've just been having the car auto rev match on downshifts since it has that feature.
ik this video is old but i love how positive you are bro
I have started practicing manual in my dad 2002 Honda CRV. 160hp@6000 and 162 torque @3600

Epic car man I’m looking at buying one soon
You should definitely get one
The way I shift I just push the gas till I’m at 2ish thousand rpm’s, the slowly let off the clutch till I’m moving
I'm I the only one thinking you're about to go viral ?? keep it up bro
I used to be a corvette hater, but I live the c6 now, I want one 😂
why were you a corvette hater?
@@crescentlust6113 I just always thought they looked like old man cars, I badly want a c6 now tho lol
Basically a professional now 😂
Yessirr
Really inspires me to trade in for a Z06 ty

I should’ve put a meme in there after you did that 💀
bros acting like its the hardest thing ever
Dude his car has like 1000 hp in a corvette and its his first time and manual is hard stfu wheres your manual
I saw your short on the shop guys being jealous, had that happen to me soooo much when I was younger, sorry that happened to you.
I’m learning manual on a ford f100 with a three on da tree
Love the video 💫
procharging a ls7
That was wholesome
I’d buy the c6 grand sport over the c6 z06 due to LS7s having valve drop issue. (Proud owner of a manual LS3)
only had that issue in 06’s and it was rare even then
Lmao youre so wrong. Every year had it. Including z28s. Just get new heads @Kassafication

I learned on a mustang gt lmao not as much hp but shit got a lot of torque and hp at low rpm’s it was definitely a lil hard
High torque at low rpm makes it easier, not harder. That's why driving instructors in England often teach in diesel cars.
What I learned: In order to not stall, do a burnout every time
What have you Done to The corvette c6 i wanna do something same to the corvette c5 that i have so i could run 600hp also
*insert the audio “well boys I think we sent her a lil too hard” 🤣
Man i wanted one of these but im probably worse at manual lol dam
Less than 1 minute in: wait. You’re going to boost an LS7? I hope not unless you’re keeping boost really low, like below 5psi.
Albuquerque- to Idtheho Woow lol
Ok so a fbo ls7 isn’t going to be making 600whp. Maybe 520whp
stock exhaust?
get back or get smacked 😤
Dont know why you would lift your feet Up in 1st instead of rolling ist over your Heel 🤨
I enjoyed watching your video--I’m a lady btw 😒
Bro is that a v10?
Give her some rpms
YESSIR🦅
