Why did u have to put the piece of the old filter there what would happed if u left it without it? I plan on leaving it on without the cover ontop aswell
You will be fine without it. I needed that piece to prevent the filter from flying out. Because I used the wrong size air filter(not made for this car)
Yes it would! I would suggest you get the E-2014 K&N air filter, since its specifically made for this car and will not require any extra modifications!
I was planning to put a magnaflow exhaust system, which is really easy to install because it’s all bolt on, no welding required. The exhaust would add a deeper growl for sure
The one I used is E-0655, but since the filter wasn't made for the Jetta specifically, the inlet flange piece had to be removed and customized in order to fit properly However you can go the easy route and buy the E-2014, it is made for this car and will not require any extra modification
Those are MSR 17x7.5 wheels, along with 235/45/17 tires. I got the lug bolts off Ebay, just make sure that the lugs you buy have a M14x1.5 thread size and are 28mm long, that way your aftermarket bolts will be to oem spec, also make sure to buy the right type of lug bolt seat for your wheels... (some lug bolt seats are tapered others are ball end, so do some research for the correct type you need for your wheels, but in general most aftermarket wheels fit tapered end bolts, while Jetta OEM wheels fit ball end lugs) Hope that helps!

@@checkmix902How does that work? Can i do it at home?
Im gonna try this out. Does it also improve throttle response a bit?
K&N air filters have a very high air flow rate, so in theory your throttle response should be better than with the OEM filter. Hope that helps!
Any upgrade to air flow, fuel, or mechanics. You have to tune it for any actual gains.

Is it necessary to leave the box in?
Yes because you need cold air, if you take off the box, you will only get hot air from the engine
@@diegoarmandocastillahernan8382Yup exactly, also decreases power and high fuel consumption.
Will this fit on the 2011 Base model jetta?!?!
