Is it because instead of having chlorophyll at that place, it has chromoplasts there..? , i mean, non green pigments do qualify as carotenoids or chromoplast proper..right?
Only parts with chlorophyll can perform photosynthesis because it is chlorophyll that converts light energy into chemical which is further used in photosynthesis. If the part is not green then it can be chromoplast.
@@adityaverma.3843 if the full plant is non green then some colour is overlaping the colour of chlorophyll....chlorophyll will be still there under the surface, performing photosynthesis, just its colour won't be shown.
Mam I'm really sorry to say this but you also need to say that why are taking these steps and what are the reasons behind doing so because not everyone knows it right? I am not saying that you are wrong but please it's very helpful if you say that why you're taking those steps so it won't confuse the students.

Do non green plants perform photosynthesis?
No...for photosynthesis we need chlorophyll
Thanks
Thank you very much

Only parts with chlorophyll can perform photosynthesis because it is chlorophyll that converts light energy into chemical which is further used in photosynthesis. If the part is not green then it can be chromoplast.
How do photosynthesis occurs in leaf which is fully non green????
@@adityaverma.3843 if the full plant is non green then some colour is overlaping the colour of chlorophyll....chlorophyll will be still there under the surface, performing photosynthesis, just its colour won't be shown.
So like what’s the function of that pink area on the leaf, is it just there to be just there???
Good explanation 👍

but why the leaves have some part of pink colour?
It is a variegated leaf
The green parts are the region containing the green pigment called chlorophyll while the other regions lack chlorophyll.
oh okay thanks btw!@@MohamedShajith-q5q

👍
the hypothesis which are often tested and never rejected and related to all experimental pieces of evidence is called?
Why is it necessary to remove chloroplast??
chlorophyll is removed by putting it in alcohol as iodine acts more nicely on colourless leaf.
