That’s extremely cool. They are some big needles. A needle privacy hedge is badass. Do people ever come out and get mad you are filming their yard or do they like it once they realize you are appreciating their cool landscaping? I feel weird when I film peoples houses lol.

I totally agree, super cool! Haha yeah I feel weird sometimes too, but people are almost always friendly and willing to talk about their amazing palms, people like that others appreciate their plants. Thanks!

I’ve always said that 7 plants are the very minimum for a proper hedge. Needles are definitely the best of the hardy stuff for that application

Love it, it looks great! There is a needle palm hedge right by my house, but it's in a gated community so I have no way of seeing it. The owner of the local palm nursery told me about as he sold and installed them for the homeowner.

Do you mean due west of the city? The city being DC? I live in Arlington and I have many needles. Some are very very large and they are naturalising. Do you know who planted them and where did they get t

Yes sorry I meant due west of D.C. That is so cool, I would love to see those needles, and if you know of any other palms around that area I would love to know! Thanks for sharing!

That is an amazing find! How large those needle palms are. Yes the seed smell like soured milk. Yhey stink really bad. I had to keep my dogs away from my seed because they wanted to eat them.
