Great repair and redemption flight. I could actually feel your excitement and nervousness. I know that feeling all to well. I love these types of videos. Keep the videos coming, we love them. 😊
Well that’s what makes the hobby fun and lots to learn remember people only comment because they care if they didn’t they wouldn’t be interested enough to bother
Sometimes if you have an obstacle on your approach it’s a good idea to have a volunteer to stand near it and with a slow flying plane doing progressive circles and getting either hand signals or hands free communication to visually work out where the threat is from your point of view
Why not land by approaching the other way? Are you near a firing range....I hear shots fired! Enjoyed this video too and I have this plane sitting on table never flown. Thanks for posting your flight... much appreciated. very well done! Could you please explain how to setup reverse thrust on this one?your plugs are in opposition with mine did you change your plugs for the batteries?
Well the wind was from the east so a west approach gave me more control. And what you don't see is a huge mound to the east making a east approach almost impossible. But the mound of debris is temporary.
Hi greg just watching ur redemption flights,, go son get back on that horse, great job,,, anyway i had thisplane luvd it,, lost after about 40 flights, lost reception on take off, u made a comment about longer aproaches.... i found that to b the case, much easier,, u dont wana hit the mound of of dirt, i get it,, but those power lines r close, mayb some practise aproaches from the right... its a funny world i like coming in from the right,, your battery management way better than mine, i got 3 minuts with 6000 hrb, scared of tipp stall,, luv ya vids, have fun b safe😊
Well from the right (east) are better but right now we have a mountain of debris from the county from the hurricanes, until that is gone all approaches will almost be combat landings.
I take a 1.5 or 2m. Carbon fiber rod and stick about a 2 inch long piece down the top of my rudder through the foam dipping it in gorilla glue before I insert it. I do the same thing to the wings and elevator. If you crash it keeps the foam from crinkling and you will be surprised at how much more resilient it makes the plane especially if you flip over on your rudder
The reverse thrust is now standard and the escs are already calibrated for it. Just plug in the reverse signal wire from the escs into a open channel and assign to your bind button! Here is my video on it.ruclips.net/video/4zMEyDsWhoI/видео.html
Thanks for watching! It really is a great plane! I am using this one: www.amazon.com/RC-CellMeter-7-Digital-Capacity-Controller/dp/B0744LVX76/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3K7KQ6SY98677&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.fb0-FeGMmAHpQM8OuYTFslLQuKTS4wCMjpe87kxTL4crFQo99Wf5ObMByPXh4xKT2FvjoZc-jYhYc1eG5QkL8tzYrbOENhOeGwABf2ag9nVk-b6ph_bRzsWJmkVU86rCtSmFDQRivwsKEls2tBnJUWv3-bZZxZAh56uvfNg-nXGC2LVaqedDXiHung2QyA51Hw4klaGgvxXrzwjPx4DUo64kLpauLnPAc8iMrvITzxM.zBee4czuUBi1l9fOZP2kEa86lHYhru2-PrEaJTwXxmY&dib_tag=se&keywords=lipo+battery+checker&qid=1735536747&sprefix=lipo+battery+checker%2Caps%2C128&sr=8-4
You are cranking these videos out like candy. Not even sure how you get time for setups and repairs. I was wondering how you balance CG on all these huge scale airplanes.
And I still work 86 hours evey 2 weeks. but I spend most of my off time working with the planes in some fashion and my wife helps also. The cg is on top of the wings and you measure upside down. but a 5000 with the stock battery strap in the middle of the battery balances the plane great.
Hey Greg, nice flying , nice that you worked through the bugs. Seems the AL37 doesn’t like a lot of wind, probably flies sweeter on a windless day. Nonetheless great vid and best wishes in 2025 to you!
No idea all I know is mine came with it. I plugged the wire labeled as reverse brake into my 7th channel and assigned it to my bind button. Works like a charm.
24:15, Dialed in no landin flaps.👍 Great lites. Just a Backporch suggestion from a Geezer that hasn't pulled His Wallet out.. Bout 300 feet try Landing Flaps/ gear down on back leg and 180 thru final. Keep Throttle up so She will Be " "Moving Out". I could see Since such a Short Final is Not ideal for one that's not Designed for a short final. I'd imagine if a "Delta" Pilot Was Forced on a Short Runway, He'd Have Throttle up just under top Speed for Landing Flaps, Then just before threshold Lower Throttle where Flaps would Slow Her Just Before Touch Down/ yet fast enough not to Float,,,,. At Ur Club however after Powerlines ate 4 planes an other approach has a Mountain of Debris, . I'd just Buy more Landing Gear, for bench stock, lol. However again at 24:15 landing looked Good An Your Thrust Reverse is all u Need. Great Job
Well done on persevering with the AL37. I slightly disagree with your zero use of flap for takeoff and landing - why not just land with takeoff flap in windy conditions?
oh i could have but it did ok without. Remember every plane is different and reacts a little differently based upon wing type and every ending variable of weather and other external factors. Next flight I may just give the flaps a try until I find that right combination that seems to work well for this plane.
I was telling my wife before I feel like I am going to crash again, but I wanted to prove myself wrong. I allowed myself to get so worked up about this plane!!! So before this flight I told myself , if I crash I crash! DEAL with it and move on. Sometimes you just gotta get your mind right first. But I was still nervous.
Heavy breathing on that one fer sure. Id pick a more soothing flying site. Your either located beside a rifle range or somebody puttin shingles on his roof. Would drive me Loony toons listening to that. 😮
Well this went as good as the TRUE maiden went bad! 3 flights packed into 1 video! Enjoy!
Great job Greg. Piece of cake buddy!
Thanks! It's a blast to fly!
Congratulations on putting her back together! Happy New Year!
Thank you! And Happy New Year to you!
Great job on the repairs and great flying of this awesome aircraft, looks so scale in the air....jeff.
Thanks, I just want to fly her on a calm day to do a stall test and verify ALL mt flap settings.
Really enjoyed that remaiden,so glad you stuck with her always best to make a decision on the next step a few days after a bad day at the strip 😊.
Oh yes it is much easier to be more objective about any situation once you have had few days to sleep on it.
@FatGuyFliesRC you can take real pride in sorting it and getting some great flights in.
@@MarkCroucherRC4fun Thanks, next time it will be a Hatcam video . Can't wait to fly her again!
Thats one great looking jet. It looks and sounds real.
Thanks for stopping by! And yes it looks, sounds, and flies great!
Excellent flights and repair
You are likely feeling much better, very nice landings!
I sure was!!! It's a beautiful plane.
It was beautiful take off and landing!
I was so exciting after your first take off and landing after the repair!! Nice flying!
Thanks, really happy with the way it turned out.
Great repair and redemption flight. I could actually feel your excitement and nervousness. I know that feeling all to well. I love these types of videos. Keep the videos coming, we love them. 😊
Thanks, it was a great feeling to get her back in the air! And MOST of my videos will have that BACK at the BENCH feature from now on.
Back at the bench great idea
I'm glad you changed your mind & repaired it. Nice redemption flights Greg.
Thanks so much! Glad it was worth it.
Well pal glad you figured it out. Yes, Flat and level with some power is the trick to a good landing with an airline. Congrates Happy new year Pal.
Happy New Year to you too!
Great job!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Hey Greg I noticed you were landing it with a good amount of speed, good move it looked good😊
It’s a big heavy bird, needs some speed to slow down.thanks
Well done Greg on the re-maiden! i'm glad you never gave up on this bird, best wishes from the UK✈
Thanks, you too!
Congrats on the remaiden! really enjoyed the flights. keep up the great work.
Appreciate it!
Great job! I was nervous with you 😅
Thanks! I always get a bit jittery on maiden flights.
Good job
Appreciate it!
I knew it you gonna enjoy being a passenger airline pilot❤
I am a lifetime lover now!!!
Congratulations towards returning your AL37 to service and for being candid about your previous maiden.
Well thank you, so glad I did the plane is awesome. Yes I believe in showing and sharing all , good and bad!
Did you upgrade the esc for reverse thrust
well done my friend!!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Wonderful Remaiden and successful flights...those lights sure look nice with the backdrop...👍👍
Yes they really do!
very nicely done my friend!!!!
Thanks so much!!
Glad you got it all fix, happy new year my friend.
Thanks so much! Happy New Year to you as well!
The final landing was great as you used throttle to control sink rate and you could relax more with the line up to the runway
Thanks, still have to be careful with my depth perception and those power lines.
Well that’s what makes the hobby fun and lots to learn remember people only comment because they care if they didn’t they wouldn’t be interested enough to bother

My next flight I’m going to call out “retracts deployed”, just to make my copilot laugh. 😂
Nice flight though, thanks!
LOL, I have one call out for a timer that says ,"Greg you must land the Vampire now, he is tired!" ..lol
Looks good the nerves people don’t understand 😂
Lol thanks
WHAT A BEAUT Id love to own one, but I may buy the F18 90 Blue Angle first as soon as I relocate down there
Both are awesome!!!
Sweet
Thanks , so glad to fly her!
I knew there’d be a redemption!
Great job!
Thanks so much!!!
Great repair and remaiden. Well done. I reckon its always worth trying to repair these foam planes - I've had plenty of practice LOL.
Thanks 👍 LOL!

Congratulations great aircraft I'd like to wish you a late Merry Xmas and a happy New year' to you and your family.😉👍
Thanks! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours as well!
👏👏👏
Thanks for stopping by!
you should also get the PJ TWIN 70, thats a beauty also, the PJ70 looks alittle more streamed line to me
LOOKS
Well I am releasing my X-Fly J-65 videos later tomorrow (monday the 30th) It flys in a very similar fashion and to me is better looking than the PJ70.
Looks like ya got’er figured out my friend 👌🏼 Got you a “ Happy Ending “ score
LOL Yes a HAPPY ENDING INDEED!

I have used tooth picks the same way before. Thanks for the tips.
Good flying is the white painted
Yes the whole plane is painted. Thanks!
congratulations on the repair, how did you set the reverse thrust in the two engines?
The reverse thrust is now standard and the escs are already calibrated for it. Just plug in the reverse signal wire from the escs into a open channel and assign to your bind button! Here is my video on it.ruclips.net/video/4zMEyDsWhoI/видео.html
@@FatGuyFliesRC Thanks happy new year 🥂
Great flights! What an amazing looking plane!!!
What battery tester are you using?
Thanks for watching! It really is a great plane! Watch that localizer wall at the runway overrun. Boeing planes like to ram them.
Ours is a bush line.lol
Please be sure to put your tray table and seat back in up right and stowed position for landing. We’re coming in…
Yes we are. Going for a good landing.
Hey Greg, nice flying , nice that you worked through the bugs. Seems the AL37 doesn’t like a lot of wind, probably flies sweeter on a windless day. Nonetheless great vid and best wishes in 2025 to you!
Thanks so much! windless days ??? What are those??? Happy New Year to you also!
Nice job!
Thanks so much!
Very cool Airplane but what happened to your front landing gear light ???
Nothing, it is there and working correctly. Thanks for the visit.
Do you charge a graphene battery the same as a lipo battery ???
1st flight was HRB then last 2 was the Turnigy Graphene batteries.
That sure looks like a lot of elevator travel, maybe you should try moving your CG back a touch.
Still getting her dialed in perfect, I may do that a little.
Congrats on the repair , did you modify this plane to have reverse thrust or does it come with it?
It came with it. Thanks!
@ hi again , just called motion rc and told me the plane doesn’t come with reverse thrust , I want to know before purchasing , thanks.
No idea all I know is mine came with it. I plugged the wire labeled as reverse brake into my 7th channel and assigned it to my bind button. Works like a charm.
Now she has character. At least that’s what I say to myself. Lol
Well the pressure is off to keep her pretty!!! LOL
congrats on the weight loss! I had wondered about the channel name since honestly you don't currently seem that big
I have been told to change the Channel name but it is now branded and listed with my sponsors so too much trouble to change it now.
24:15, Dialed in no landin flaps.👍

However again at 24:15 landing looked Good
An Your Thrust Reverse is all u Need.

Well once the mountain of debris is gone (in about 2 months) I will be able to give a better scale approach from the east.
@FatGuyFliesRC look foward to that. Tks
Well done on persevering with the AL37. I slightly disagree with your zero use of flap for takeoff and landing - why not just land with takeoff flap in windy conditions?

Me to sounds like rifle fire😮
Yes there is a very ACTIVE outdoor gun range next door. But I love my club and my field so I will put up with a little duck and cover every so often.
