This a video of All Things Dirt Repairing a gravel driveway in Olympia WA. Using our Harley Rake and roller compactor. Visit our website www.atdexcavati... or call us at 360-539-5080
Are those the rubber tracks over tires? How do you like then if they are? We have a track machine but have been told working in asphalt rubber tracks over tires would be a better option for our milling head. On jobs like this I use my 40 inch cold planer kinda like how you use that attachment, but i can grind up to 6 inches deep. Lots of times on lanes that are riddled with holes, I'll grind up the rock 3 to 4 inches deep and regrade it with my paver then compact smooth but 90 percent of the time I'm prepping to install asphalt and not leaving the drive rock.
density and moisture numbers only really matter in soil compaction. If your business is to fix driveways like this, owning a smooth drum roller should be a primary purchase and not seen as an option. When rolling this kind of material you are "sealing" it so it won't erode away and dispurse because of traffic.
This is a simple video that big enjoy!
Love this example!
Slope driveway so the water runs off . That's how potholes start in dirt drives as water can't run off .

I live in Rochester and my road is filled with potholes. Could you come by to give me an estimate? Thanks!
