He was my favourite actor. We all have a bad part of our nature, but if we use that energy in a more focused way, we’d achieve so much more. I think Mr Douglas was a determined single minded personality and he honed his craft with real skill to become one of the best. He must have spent hours training for acting roles such as Spartacus and in the Vikings. Can’t say any modern actor would do so well in those roles. Can’t name one.
What an immensely likeable man...I'd have loved to have met him. I'm thinking of him walking the oars in The Viking as he was telling his story of falling into rocks.
