Franz Liszt is the man who makes piano up to a different level. We can see Rachmaninoff and Ravel influenced by Liszt's piano composing techniques. The more I know about his works, the more I'm amazed. He's very wonderful for sure!
I remember reading about girl in Liszt's class who privately asked him, how does he make the sound of storm. He presented it to her. I wonder if it sounded simmilar to this.🤔
When the pedal is kept down, the left hand rumbling gets louder and louder, like thunder. Clarity is not what matters in a passage like this, it’s about the effect.
Listz is a genius! He probably knew what he was doing.
Agree
just try to play this part on perion instruments and you'll find it sounds completely different
@@Короткоіясно-ь8р i know
Surely not probably...
Amazingly, the name Orage translates to storm. So this could imitate the storm

Then the mad tremolos 😂
i like how it sounds
Excellent as usual.
Apparently during Liszt time pianists used to complain about his charts saying he wrote stuff no one else could play (not this particular piece)
Times sure have changed, because many more people are able to play his works well nowadays.
Thanks for playing that for us (beautifully, I might add), I was wondering how that would sound.
Awesome 👌🏻 Also that piano is amazing 👏 I have an upright gloss black Yamaha U3 it's beautiful 😍
