Gonna be 100% honest. The fact that Lego put out the mansion in its original form for that price is ridiculous. Damn shame people are already having to moc it to make it look like it should've from the get-go.
Its cool but I think the middle section looks a bit weird, maybe a window or some decal would fit in? or you could lower the white section to stop at the second maybe
@@Thebrickboy29well wasn’t the original set like 3000 pieces already and since it’s just another floor, it should only be 1000ish pieces so it’d only bump the price to like $400
Changes I was thinking about making (for 3 floors): 1) I'd make the kitchen under the danger room wing (bottom floor) and leave the danger room above it as is in set. 2) pull out the back of the center section to the end of the baseplate and add a staircase/opening for each floor (keeping the elevator facade), 3) Expand the middle part (Cerebro section) of the 2nd floor forward under the balcony and push Cerebro into the newly rounded part of the room and give more room to the lab/medical area. 4) Change the 2nd floor bedroom to a briefing room. 5) on the 3rd floor far right add bedrooms and in the middle section spit to bathroom on one side of the elevator (stairs on the other) and a sitting room by the balcony. This would be done with the original set extra pieces from Lego PAB site (~$50 extra). Also thinking about possibly expanding the interior of the roof, adding beds and access. Need to see how small the set actual is in person though.
It's really good and you clearly did your homework. My issue is that some of the rooms don't really connect. Like the cerebro and Magneto's cell with the bedrooms. However, thats my personal opinon.
I don't think so, there are more important mutants like Juggernaut, Colossus, Angel, Nightcrawler to add instead. References add kinda nothing outside of a tease that may never come.
I like your changes, personally I would've had Cerebro in the bottom left, Charles' office in the bottom right, a bigger classroom on the middle floor and the kitchen on the top right.
I'm building the x Mansion right now on the last book. Loving it, but I must say it is cool to see the third story even if it increased the price like another $30 to $50. I think they should have had three stories
I think the height makes the sentinels out of scale now. They can be taller, same height or smaller based on different media i guess. Maybe more depth with a garden would look good
$100 per floor is still a BIT steep, but it's MUCH better than the $150 per floor for an inaccurate version of the mansion that comes in the official set. This expansion is perfect, and exactly what this set needed. (other than a discount of course)
I wanna see if you could try to change the danger rooms into more areas of classrooms and bedrooms because the school has 1/3 of it taken up by danger rooms instead of more bedrooms like we see in the show or the movies
It could actually be one window wider in the inset areas which would give you hallways inside. I'd also love to see a way to have an open back to display the inside. Maybe you do that if you add the 4 stud depth. I also want to add a basketball court and Blackbird. Since I've add a sub basement level on all of my Marvel buildings (on a MILS) I'd do the entire level as the Danger Room and Cerebro, thus giving me more bedrooms. (I'll incorporate the GWP Cerebro) Nice work.
Good but you got to have a lift on first floor and openings to walls is not great. Personally I would keep the balcony on the first floor and put windows in the middle on the second floor. Loved the cage for magneto though.
3 floors look so so so much better. Missed chance. Also prof X needed a green suit. And we need jubilee and/or nightcrawler asap. Xmen cmf would be welcome.
I'm personally going to get two but add another floor above the balcony floor. Also rooms will be different. I never watched the films. XMEN 97 are what I will base it off.
If using three sets, is it possible to extend the width as well? Make the two spire buildings on both sides also 16 studs wide. And make the connections between the three spires 8 studs wide each. Together it is 16+8+16+8+16=64 studs wide, just for two 32*32 base plates.
they should have done it the hogwarts way like one modular par wave and in the end it would made a giant mansion with a lot minifigure not just a tiny little one with no places in it also love from Montréal, canada
I like what you did with the third floor. Yes it needs to be bigger. If possible the danger room should be bigger and I'd make under the mansion half of the floor. I would also make a separate room for cerribio . since the building is expanding there should be a class room about half of the first floor. And a kitchen . the second floor should have the professors office with a lot of books a desk and a few chairs . There should be a rec room / entertainment room big screen tv . I would make the third floor where everyone stays how many rooms depends on how many mutants you want in the mansion. You also have to have rooms for the new mutants . On the outside a place for the jet to take off , a tennis court and a place to play basket ball. Plus a garden area for people to sit. Add some trees bushes ext. I'm sure this adds a bit to the price but if your going to rebuild it do it right. So I guess that takes it closer to $750.00 .
You need at least 4 sets to make it what it should be - extending the back and getting rid of the alley. A mansion with an alley????!!! However with 2 sets you have made the front what it should have been.
4 Sets ? 2 are enough. You get enough studs to add a third floor and the remaining studs (which would be the second floor of the second set) would be enough to make it deeper a couple studs.
Missed opportunity from Lego. Adults will only buy this set. They made $700+ Star Wars sets. Why not make this Mansion bigger? Put an underground training room and the Cerebro!!! Come on, LEGO!!!!!
Im torn between buying a second or just buying the individual pieces, i wanna add another level, put the kitchen in the middle section, another bedroom and a classroom or lounge
It should be $200, especially if it has 2 stories, the daily bugle is around the same price and its 4 stories tall and includes 25 minifigures, the x mansion only has 10
X-mansion X-pansion 🗣️🔥🔥
Lol
God damn that’s the funniest thing I’ve heard in a while
Nice!
Let him cook 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑

Especially the middle
Yes. The balcony should have been in the second floor
This should have been the official set and it should retail for $300
Nah thats waaaay too low 😂
For 6,000 pieces it would probably retail for around 600 dollars
@@Thebrickboy29well wasn’t the original set like 3000 pieces already and since it’s just another floor, it should only be 1000ish pieces so it’d only bump the price to like $400
For 4000ish pieces that’s way too low but $400 is a lot more reasonable
That´s insane...they´d never profit from that
6:30 "so, i really cooked on that one"
talented and humble, outstanding build
Its also should be made wider, by making it stand on two 32x32 baseplates.
That's literally what I was hoping to see, I don't care that much about the amount of floors as for the little space in the rooms 😅
I would like to see it open up like a double book style so each wing has big rooms that even have hinged floors that fold down
I’d love to see you expand the X mansion in length, like get rid of the alleyway or some of the front lawn
Now I wanna see this version next to the other modulars
100 times better with your additions. Love it.
The Daily Bugle had about as many pieces as this and but more figures, and it was less than 2 x-mansions combined!
Ashnflash crying right now

Just Six more Dollars and it could be a Beast of a Set... Excellent Expansion!!

This looks splendid. A proper mansion 👍
Now it also needs to be wider
I’m obsessed I love that made a kitchen
6:04 it is and it makes me think they should've made a reference to Deadpool
I don't think so, there are more important mutants like Juggernaut, Colossus, Angel, Nightcrawler to add instead. References add kinda nothing outside of a tease that may never come.
Makes the set awesome X2. Good review,
Good Job! You did a great MOC and looks much more accurate to what an X-Men mansion should look like.
Now I want to see an expanded back
This is what we really want and I mean REALLY WANT
It’s actually crazy just how much better it looks wow, if this was the set I’d definitely be buying it!
Looks so much better than the official set, maybe another video you could do, making the inside bigger
Literally waiting for someone to do this!
I like your changes, personally I would've had Cerebro in the bottom left, Charles' office in the bottom right, a bigger classroom on the middle floor and the kitchen on the top right.

Oh WOW😱that looks awesome👍...
Genius!
Can you please put all the marvel Modulars together to see how the third floor looks with the others
Looks so much better
Awesome build
That’s actually really good.
Really keen to see how deep you can make it if you use all the leftover parts
It looks great!
This looks really good I like it a lot and is your finger ok dude lol
This is what the actual set should have been. Now it definitely makes a name for itself 😊
Jean Grey is missing her blue shoulder pads
Bro, I think we need 2 more sets to make it wider!
I'd want to also expand it to the sides. I need to win the lottary.
I wanna see if you could try to change the danger rooms into more areas of classrooms and bedrooms because the school has 1/3 of it taken up by danger rooms instead of more bedrooms like we see in the show or the movies
Nice video. At some point are you going to try to widen or deepen it. As you said you can barely get your hands inside.
It could actually be one window wider in the inset areas which would give you hallways inside. I'd also love to see a way to have an open back to display the inside. You might wanna switch up the rooms put the kitchen on the 1st floor then the classroom on top of the kitchen and the bedroom on top of the classroom
Looks pretty cool
Legendary video

I was looking for a video exactly like this last night, it would have only been a few hours before you uploaded.
I think length needs to be added to go along with the height
love it
Once you get this fully figured out and fixed up you should sell the instructions
I'm personally going to get two but add another floor above the balcony floor. Also rooms will be different. I never watched the films. XMEN 97 are what I will base it off.
If I were building this I think I’d just use the parts of the floors that are officially in the set for as much as I could to add the 3rd floor
Parts on the floor ?
You mean the battle damage ?
That’s not nearly enough to even do a single wall.
@@goddessofdesire no like rebuild entire sections

Next you can increase the width of it! There are two windows for the indented side parts! (Idk what to call it..)
WOW! This turned out SO good!! Great job. How do I make reservations
Personally i'm ok with 4 studs empty on the back...problem is in front, i would cover some front to have depth building deserves.
Make another one with additional pieces from the two sets
A good idea for people would be to buy 1 set, and then buy the build itself from bricklink
You should get 2 more sets to fill in the depth.
If I had $600 I would definitely do this
1000 here in Australia
If you have an opportunity to combine two sets in the way like you did - that’s almost necessary and amazing for sure!
If I got another one I would put
Kitchen
Charles office
Bathroom
I love your content a lot, could you drop a part list for this and instructions? I'm not trying to drop anther 330$ on the same set
they should have done it the hogwarts way
like one modular par wave and in the end it would made a giant mansion with a lot minifigure not just a tiny little one with no places in it

This video was amazing! I don't think I have the money to buy two sets! xD
Please make a video of this with the other marvel mods
maybe if is possible to get more then 2 sets? it can extended little bit long with plenty of room and some hangar for x men jet
I think I'll build the set as is and then maybe add a kitchen
Ayo! Now that's some investment for the YT channel!
Tennis court next
Why are you making me want to buy another one 😂😭
So why is there a back alley? This is a stand alone building in the middle of the woods.
Only exists because it’s a modular set to fit into the other modular sets
@cmendoza244 ok thats kinda what i figured. I'll be changing that with mine though.
idea for rooms to is library and a classroom and i would make it deeper
Needs to be wider too

I’d recommend just making it a little wider.

needs to be wider. I am fine with the height. it needs to be 4-6 studs wider. so you can actually put your fingers inside the set to move things

The figures will be worth alot so selling those from the second set would recoup probably 100 dollars or so.
