That Pearl has the water all messed up over here in the Slidell area too. The exception is Lake P. We have been dropping the hammer on some good specks 17-21” on the bridges when conditions are right. River will only get worse after all the rain comes down again in the next couple days. As always, great content, thanks for sharing!
Do you prefer hooking your croaker through the lip or tail? I’ve heard that fish have to eat croaker head first because of their gill flairs. Just curious to know what you think! Thanks
Nice haul Mr Tommy That just goes to show conditions don't have to be perfect to catch good quality fish Sure would like to go offshore with you sometime to catch some of them big mangrove wolves
Your thoughts of returning to Grand Isle? Queen Bess seemed like a great place to retire and fish?
Not enough to do. Love it here
Are you fishing on bottom? And are you using sinkers? New to saltwater fishing is why I’m asking
Freelining live croaker. Just a #2 Kahle hook. No weight. Hook in top lip
TOMMY V.
You always give great advice and you’re so right when the croaker dies he’s no good
Thanks for your professional honesty
My pleasure

Rosco went to Fish Breton island. He will be back on soon
Hammer time... When the water temps are close to 80F is when the croaker bite turns on. Probably fish East Matagorda this weekend
