The sx and 404-a are basically the same right? Having two must must give you some serious speed/ storage and bouncing potential! Both machines are pretty transparent soundwise though, for me the 303 can add so much character to sounds. The 202 does in its own way too. I'd definitely consider getting a 303 for the amazing effects and sound shaping or the 202 if you want to degrade sounds alot. I dont think it'd be overkill at all!
Do you have a signal chain that allows you to sample any SP into any other SP? Or do you just swap the cable around when you need to change which device you're sampling from/to?
Awesome video- thank you for sharing!! Seems like a very fun workflow. Still learning my way around the 404 and learning about that resample + ext source feat on the 303 got me fiending for one
Without sounding thick what does this mean? On the 404 you can sample in via vinyl etc? Or do you have to load the sample in on the sd card? Nice job by the way.
@@multipreach2674 resampling thru external source means that you can resample what ever is playing thru externally as if it was just another one of the pads. only the 303 & 505 can do this. really good for basslines that youre playing or even other sources from DAWs if youve got it wire correctly. lol. this is why some people daisy chain multiple SPs. each has its own thing it can do that maybe the other can't do
The 202 is a little frustrating to chop on and doesn't have resample or any kind of sequencer. I tend to just use it for grit and some of the effects (Pitch in particular). I have used it to play chops over the 303 before though, its nice for that.
Your BRUTALIST beat tape is the fricken NUTS!! I'm constantly bumpin' it on my walkman to work.. Besos, Stolen Talc
Thanks man! Glad you're enjoying it!
We blowin out our ear drums with this one!
Need to get a 505 man. Very nice set-up.
Love the yellow tape!!! Love the tutorial man...
this is man, is a man of world
That beat is serious! Instant sub!

Great video man! Dope beat and super Nice to see your beatmaking proces!
Awesome stuff, enjoyed this buddy! Thanks for the inspiration man : )
This man has to much power. This is an Avengers level threat.
Imma fan, UKHH! Is where it’s at, I’m a producer from south London too, good to see the music is still going strong
yes mate
Wicked beat man.
Like this man
Dope stuff
Good Work .Cuth..One
love this video. I have the sp 404 [not the SX] but it's still dope.
Well mate, it's hard to find cassette player still working. Not in production anymore. 😁
Bro this was perfect for me.! Thanks dawg
No worries man!
🖤
Which SP has the better tone/compression? Was stuck between the 303 and 404. Planning to pair with my MPC
Dope.
Pretty dope man. Make more. I have the SX and the 404A. Was thinking of getting the 303 or 202 but i think it might be overkill if I did.
Mal Moe I have both. they're really sick. 303 more feasible but that analog pitch shifting on the 202 is really tasty

Plus the overdub resample on the 303 opens a lot of doors for layering up sounds/ making resample beats.
Get the sp 808 there's a new software update.
Clutch Hawks I've got an 808 it's good to sample through the effects are pretty impressive, but for sequencing it's a no go the zip drive is useless.
mad props brot ! I just have the 404 OG, but the mpc1k too, so Ill try to use my OG as the 303 for the vinsim, and see where i can get

damn i dunno why but my 202 has a hum when you record on the highest quality anything else its ok, anyone else have this issue?
Really wish the SX had ext. Source Resample. 😫
Me too mate! That's the best thing about working on the 303.

@@ruffiankick Thanks man
Is that all you ever use the 202 for - dirty initial samples?
Would love more vids with the 202 and 303, especially, please! :)

Name of record you used please! Cheers
Why did u use those specific machines for those rolls.?!
Oh sorry dudes
If you use multiple SPs and sample between them, get a Realistic Tape Control Centre and thank me later.
fuking hard man
thoughts on the 555 ?
Never used one man. Looks dope though, probably better suited for working all in the box.
Seriously please:)
I give you a nice clear shot of the record cover at the end man!
