Thanks for this! Been using this software since Sonic Foundry days so hard to part with this software, however I am interested in finding a similar program on the mac. The only one I found was Audacity but very limited dumbed down version. The speed and flow of Acid Pro is just second to none when it comes down to creating mixtapes in my opinion anyway. So if anyone have any suggestions? Please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the video-I will use your instruction in my instruction-I know PPL criticize what you are playing, but it is just a simple EXAMPLE for learning purposes. These others PPL who use other software always have to knock what we do in ACID-but , over the last few, ACID is on the rise again for top gear in the industry-the thrill of other software is over and artists are going back to ACID for its ease and its SMARTS, Sony is the best for Intelligent DAW like you state-it will learn.
You can, that is one of the major features of Acid, but remember that Acid is sorely out of date at this time. If you really want to beatmap with effectiveness, I'd say look at Ableton Live.
Correct me if wrong, but I don't think Acid can adjust the tempo in just parts of a song. No matter how much I try when I adjust a part almost at the end, the beginning of the song goes out of tempo, I try watching many videos and try to copy your process and it does not do what warping does in Ableton Live...
Update : go to clip properties and adjust stretch markers . It is possible to re stretch the audio to keep in sync. I’ve tried Ableton and it’s not perfect .
Great info! But what if you don't want the audio to sync? For example, when it comes to a voiceover and you want to add multiple clips, but you don't want Acid to determine a speed for it, what do you do then? I'm having an issue where Acid thinks I'm importing music and it's trying to automatically change the voiceovers to match the first voiceover file that I added. So some of them are going too fast, and others are playing too slow.
I found the answer! Right click on the track, click "clip properties", and change it to "one shot" instead of "beatmapped". It's been some years since I used the software so I forgot about this.
Try right clicking then choose clip properties, find beatmap under one shoot hit stretch tab, then you'll the beatmap wizard button. That should get you in ballpark.
I kinda think so also because all he did was move the track he was supposedly beatmapping so the it lined up with measures. I think software did do it because I've done it by accident. I rendered track it changed tempo in middler of track. Still software could just no be updated. Because can easily stretch tracks in other software no hassle.
I can't believe that you use background music in the video, because when you are playing audio from ACID they over lap and is annoying. (While I appreciate audio when there is only talking, in this case, bad call.)
Thanx man, i`ve been trying to figure this out since 2006!
I remember using this software. The nostalgia....
Excellent tutorial, thank-you!
I'm glad we could help you!
Thanks for the info, this helps quite a bit since I like to watch what I'm trying to learn then mess around in the event afterwards.

Closest to Acid on Mac is Ableton Live.

does sony acid pro m10 come with all the loops and synths and all that ?
sony acid 7 is the best
Nice..
Can you beatmap a stand alone loop? I'm having a hard time with that. It sounds great on the beatmapper, but it doesn't save that way as a loop.

Lupo Jacobo I thought the same but it is possible to go in and manually adjust each measure so that it all stays in time 😊

Does anyone know how yo reload a song into beat mapper after its been loaded in project?
Try right clicking then choose clip properties, find beatmap under one shoot hit stretch tab, then you'll the beatmap wizard button. That should get you in ballpark.
how to match 2 tracks than have different tempo tanks
You would need to beatmap, as outlined in this video.
