My dad was staying in Roanoke Virginia. He asked me to come visit him for the weekend so I did. I found out that weekend he had stage 4 cancer. We didn’t have the best relationship but those following weeks we grew closer when I was helping him go back and forth to the hospital. It was a task because I just started at my new job only the week before! All in all he ain’t here anymore. I like seeing your family together. I know it may be hard right now on you but it’ll get better because like you said he is a strong man that his community needs. Thank god he has his beautiful family to help him out! I like seeing him smile sitting on the chair. God bless yall. I will be checking on you soon.
Thank you for sharing your story and the kind words. Thank God that you were able to grow closer to him despite you all relationship being strained. It’s a blessing that you were able to be there for him in his time of need, and I am sure that he really appreciated it. Hopefully you all got the peace that you needed.
