@@Rick-s9i hey my brother God bless you, thanks for tuning in and sharing your thoughts. While there is a baptism of a Holy Spirit there is also a baptism of water. Jesus himself was baptized in water as an example to us.In matthew 3:14-3:16,Jesus allowed himself to be baptized by John the Baptist to fulfill all righteousness. When we as believers are baptized in water, it is an outward expression of an inward change. (Romans 6:4-11) It demonstrates that we have died to ourselves and now our alive in Christ. This was why the disciples would preach the gospel, but also baptize new disciples.Jesus also informed Nicodemus you must be born again of water and spirit. John 3:5, “unless a man be born again of water and Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” Thank you for the conversation brother and God bless.
