Indian classical music is not about pleasure it's all about sound and mastering it and it is for taking you in different dimension.

    • @AnanyaDas10
      @AnanyaDas10 2 года назад +1

Going to a different dimension is actually all about pleasure ...divine pleasure...the classical singer trains for years and that's hard work and sweat but in the end the reward is the pleasure of this kind of performance ...more than audience the performer is experiencing the maximum pleasure here by able to hit those notes ...the kick she is getting others can't even imagine ... It's raw pure pleasure ...

Those who are interested, its Bhimpalasi. In ascending, 2nd is skipped. In descending all the notes are there. 3rd and 7th are flat. But notes are not in equal-temperament, it is in just-intonation and the flat 7th is actually "extra-flat 7th", i.e. if you ascend perfect fourth twice from tonic. The rhythm is 16 bit cycle, you may think of it as 8/2. The trick is to give emphasis to 1 as you are listening and maintain the cycle while giving the reaction by pausing the video (that is to stop the video, and come back by consuming exactly a "single" or "multiple" full cycles).

The Beatles, the Stones and other western bands were influenced by Ravi Shankar and Indian music in general. I remember Shankar from the Concert for Bangla Desh so long ago. Thanks for your thoughts about this. I wait for more.

Listen to Tushar Lall's Jam Series - Siri. It really drives home the fact that that change in rock in the 50s and 60s that led to things like epic guitar solos and the use of percussion in melody had much derivation from people like The Beatles hearing Indian traditional musical forms for the first time.

From Antiquity, India has excelled in music and mathematics, which might explain some of the time signatures that are used in classical Indian music, instrumental as well as for both the voice and dance. 13/7, anyone?

Asha Puthli, (now 77 yrs old singer, who is of Indian descent born in UK) is an actress and fusion singer, nothing like the caliber of Kaushiki Chakraborty ! This is Hindustani Classical Music. These are pure classical notes which she is singing in different arrangements. It is called Sargam. Only really a good Classsical musician can do this. It is tremendously difficult to sing different classical notes with speed, in different arrangements, in a raag ! There were a few short lines of poetry in between.

Hi so nice to see your identification of music again. It also tore my heart apart. And it's not directly my choice to listen to this type of music. But I want to believe that it is because of your own interest to discover what your interesting inner self is giving you for signal. Okay, I said that. This classic choice is not a sound that gives the sound of a beautiful whole perception in my interior. More than that it splits me. Maybe it's because of me. Now wall. There is so much beautiful Indian music with the following rhythms and sounds, voices, the choice of instruments that in unison meet the demands of the clouds to listen to it over and over again without understanding the text. This to me is what is called music. I know somewhere I might listen to this particular your choice again because I trust you. Hopefully you might be able to listen to one of my selections of Indian music I am sending below 2 links to you. One is from a musical film. The other is only the music I like very much. The musical it was played in a Bolywood movie. But even those actors made up the interpretation somewhat well. I also want to say that I do not understand the text. At the same time I am definitely not a music expert either.
Hope you like it too. Waiting for your opinion. Wish you well and happiness

It's not spritual song lyrics are like follows:
    Ja Ja Re, Apne Mandirwa
(Go away, go back to your home)
    Sun pave gi saas nanadiya
(My mother-in-law and sister-in-law will hear you)
Suno ho Sadarang tum ko chahat hai
(For while I do love you)
    Kya tum hamko chalana kiyaa
    (How could you trick me)
Lyrics can be anything but the impact on us is because of the composition in Raag Bhimpalasi.
