You never turn on against the fans. If a trailer is meant to represent the best a project has to offer to get people hyped up and it fails, It's not the fans fault. If the trailer doesn't offer an accurate vision of whats to come, then let the fans know and blame whoever made the trailer. But the fans are SUPPOSED to respond with what they think. That doesn't mean they have to like what they see. An artist should never fall in love with their own work and no amount of hard work validates failure. No one is entitled to success or fan approval.
Critters! Man this takes me back, when i was a kid i only saw the 2nd and bits and pieces of the 4th. Thankfully i got revisit the series and finally watched the 1st, 3rd, and all of the 4th movie.
I want a return to the sci-fi quesi-horror that the first film gave with its delicious 80s theme. I really don't want them to modernize and show the critters causing chaos in a modern world with cellphones and twitter and shit, that's more of a Gremlins kind of thing. If Critters does truly come back, it should remain as a story told in the 80s kind of era or maybe even earlier. That's what a lot of people think for horror films anyway, because the "darkness" element and the paranormal exposure is more mysterious for times like that. What I'd actually really love is a reboot, it's been long enough to excuse it. Give us a scarier redo of the classic 80s version, and actually have it set in the 80s.

The creators having an absolute meltdown is the most weirdly consistent red flag when a long-dormant franchise returns. I can't think of a single instance where the creators had a meltdown and the end product didn't suck.

I can't wait to see both the series and new movie. I like anything critters and critters 2 is my favorite of the movies becouse if so many critters attacking a town. The series looms a bit cheap but I might still like it.

When a movie is shot in South Africa, it tends to be low-budget, with either first time or unknown foreign or South African directors helming the production, so don't be too excited on quality issues or even story sophistication. The only good movie I've ever seen from South Africa is Dredd (Karl Urban). One of the Tremors, Death Race and other minor films (like Elysium, District 9) and sequels have also been shot in South Africa, and filming locations tend to be limited and filming infrastructure not as advanced as the US or Canada. Pretty much all movies are either average or poor - if the actors/actresses can't save the movie with their performances, nothing else will.
WOW saw the first EP is that New Binge series bad or is it meant to be that way. It's like if some one had nickelodeon and the people behind the Reboot reboot make a web series. That has to compete for "The Rooms" title award.

I honestly didn't care about the quality of the puppets in the new binge trailer. It looked passable at least to me considering I went in expecting a low-budget netflix kind of series. At least they weren't a bunch of CGI. I was hoping maybe things could get better if its successful, you know, once it gets launched and catches on. The fans probably are being too harsh, it could be much worse, but the reaction the master puppeteer had is just...hilarious. Be a grown man, for christ sake. Even if people are being totally unfair, insulting them in some weird ass rant for a day isn't going to convince anyone. It's only going to drive people away. Dumbass clearly has some serious emotional problems if he can't handle internet trolls with a little more class. And I use the term "troll" very loosely.

Actually, the script for Critters came out in 1982, 2 years before Gremlins. It just didn't get picked up until 4 years later by New Line Cinema because nobody wanted to produce or have anything to do with it.
Just saw Critters Attack and very disappointed, they took a classic B horror movie with humor/playfulness, I mean its not Alien horror and turned it into a Nickelodeon made for kids movie. I love this franchise especially 1 and 2, I don't like that the Critters in this new one were all swollen looking and just lazily, their knockout spins no longer do that, and this whole sweet female thing was just bad. They even brought back the mom from the first one who knew about this female bull Critter but sadly that was also bad so bad.
Never got into these movies. It’s the franchise that embraced its cheapness. I can’t believe Critters 2 was shown in theaters. It was clearly direct to video quality. Fans are just being unfair. They expect greatness from something that was already mediocre to begin with. Just leave it alone, it’s DOA.
